That particular diagnosis is pretty trendy these days. I'll let you in on a little secret though... everyone is a narcissist, just to different degrees.
And you will find broken people everywhere that you go in life.
My encouragement to you, sister, is to keep in mind that the only person you really have any control over is yourself: how you think, how you act, what you choose. Seek the virtues laid out in the Bible and try to be humble, kind, and loving -- even to people who don't deserve it -- just like Jesus did. Perhaps by God's grace you will rub off on them!
God has enabled me to be caring and empathetic. I am happy to say that I have never had any enemies and can get along with just about anyone. Not always easy, and I give God the credit for that particular grace in my life.
There are times in life when you should look inward, and there are times in life when you should look outward. Life is harder when you are looking in the wrong direction.
