I would tend to disagree with this assessment. Seems to me if America wants lethal force available to all, they are the ones who require missionaries. Fortunately, though, we now have have this interweb thing, and can hash these issues out amongst ourselves.

Best wishes, 2RM.

Interesting. And there was I thinking Canada was a democracy.

In response to the lawful truckers protest, Prime Minister Trudeau just threatened criminal prosecution against anyone who supports them financially. He also said recently that those who refuse to be vaccinated are probably racists and misogynists. He is a criminal and my enemy. He is a knowing participant in the effort to turn the world into one state with one government and one financial system.

I can't see that happening, myself. Though I think one global government to be a good idea, I would only prefer it if I were the (benign) dictator. Otherwise, we are stuck with democracy, which, for all its faults, is the best system humanity has yet developed.

There is that "seems to me" leaning on ones own understanding thing again.
Not the way a Christian is to walk in obedience.
There are very few things that need to be "hashed out" for a Christian, we are either His or we have stepped back into the world.

Luke 22:36 He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. And let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one.

"if America wants lethal force avalable to all" is a misguided and misguiding staement.
I recall a UK serviceman knifed to death on the street by a satan worshipping immigrant not to long ago.

It is less than polite to question another's faith. Let us just agree to disagree, and accept that our pilgrim journeys through Christianity have led us to different conclusions.

Indeed so. As I recall, however, the perpetrator was a Muslim, not a Satanist. Had he access to firearms, he could have done a lot more damage.

Islame is not Christian, they worship a being that is the inverse of God.
There are only two kingdoms, His and the adversary.

Interesting you should think this. From what I can make out, Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same God, in our differing ways. And most of my neighbours are Muslim, and I can tell you they are good as gold, and cause me no problems at all. If they sinned, I would be able to tell you, but frankly I have not noticed any problems with their behaviour at all.

God doesn't judge on being a good neighbor.
We either belong to Him by the accepting the atoning work of Jesus Christ and make Him Lord and Savior, or we belong to the adversary.
I'm not really "saying that", I am sharing what a genuine Christian knows to be true from scripture.(y)

I'm a goat, and unashamedly so. I think goats get a bad press in the Bible, and, from what I can make of the Gospels, Jesus was a goat, too. He didn't, for example, have much time for the money-lenders in His Father's temple. But sheep are more biddable than goats, and authorities like that.

I am glad we have found something to agree upon. But in my case, I know it not from scripture, but personal experience.

That would explain a lot ...

Are you really so proud of that you'd come on a Christian forum and admit it? I am a sheep; a willingly led disciple of Jesus as God With Us. I am not however "easily led" by any worldly authority. Anyone who knows me would laugh themselves silly to hear you say that.

You say we are easily led, yet it is you who so willingly surrenders his sword to Rome. Interesting logic.

My wife is from Derbyshire, and she used to think like you. I think the English are brainwashed concerning guns (but don't worry, our schools are right behind you there). She waitressed for a while, and the State police who came in there got a kick out of the fact she thought them rude for wearing their guns at the table. But being around me (which means being around guns and being taught to handle them properly) she now has no problem with them. Turns out her mother was in the service in WWII and was quite a good marks(wo)man. She later earned medals in competition. I say that by way of explanation (ok, excuse) because my wife has on occasion outshot me!

AE Housman once wrote a poem:

If in that Syrian garden, ages slain
You sleep, and know not you are dead in vain
Nor in your dreams behold how dark and bright
Ascends in smoke and fire by day and night
The hate you died to quench and could but fan
Sleep well and see no morning, Son of Man.

But if, the grave rent and stone rolled by
At the right of hand of majesty on on high
You sit, and sitting so remember yet
Your tears, your pain and bloody sweat
Your agony, the life you gave,
Bow hither, out of heaven, and see and save.

It has been a favourite of mine for a long time. Housman was an atheist and a homosexual, but these lines hit the spot for me. I remember once reciting them to myself, open-heartedly. And like a meteor from the skies, the Holy Spirit invaded my heart. So I believe the grave was rent, and Christ does sit at the right hand of Majesty on high. For the rest of the Christian religion, I prefer to engage with it sympathetically but philosophically.
