I think every man in the world has felt a little envious of that guy. Figuring out any tool ever created, etc. He must have earned a good living with his particular set of skills. But even better, he used them for the glory of God.

I don’t want to put anyone down, but as I read through the list of things people stated I wondered to myself, what is holding you back. If these are things you wish or desire to be good at, then start!
You can come up with all sorts of excuses. I don’t have the time, don’t have the equipment, don’t have the money, I’m too old, to fat, to young, to slow, to short, to tall. Whatever the excuse kick it out of the way.

What I learned is if you don’t start you will never achieve. If you start the excuses will drop away and God will provide what you need.
I was there I had the excuses, time being a major factor. But what you put in you are going to get out and if you put God first, your efforts will pay in dividends. I am currently working towards my next Dan in KM. This is something I never thought I could do, but a minister friend of mine told me to quit dreaming and start moving, a wish bone will never replace a backbone.

Hmm, probably I would choose "remembering things." Having a photographic or eidetic memory would be very useful. There are a lot of other things I could list, but many of them are things that I COULD do if I worked at it.

I tried doing this memory exercise where you could just instantly remember your library card number, bank account number or anything longer than 9 numbers but it just didnt work with me.

I still need the card in front of me.

I am also terrible with remembering instructions that someone told me last week or a year ago. Does this make me human and not a robot? Hope so.

I dont really want to be an amazing piano player myself, that was just one of the two choices of the OP. I know that requires a lot of practice, probably from age 7. Aside from that, I do not have a piano.

I also know being a surgeon requires at least 7 years medical school, and a huge student loan to pay for it, if not fortunate enough to have a benefactor. Then you still have to pass exams afterwards to specialise.

Picking up extremely heavy things like buildings and airplanes. I figure that if I could pick up literally anything on earth, that would earn me some degree of fame and maybe special attention from the ladies.

This is a tough one. There are many things I enjoy doing, and I usually can find a way to get things done that I want to get done, or I get someone to do it. But...

* Thinking fast. Being quicker-witted.

* Being better at martial arts (studied JKD and Systema, but not at all where I would like to be in those systems).

* Understanding multiple languages, like, I don't know, 10.

* Wouldn't mind being able to play the piano or violin -- though my creative talents lie more in the visual.

Here's how I stay motivated: I make agenda lists for every day.

This list is on a sticky note, and I assign it an estimated time to complete, and factor in breaks as well during the day.

I have found that I start to feel a little guilty if I fail to complete anything on the list, and it also reminds me of things I've been wanting to get done, but keep forgetting about.

This system has enabled me to 1) complete two Hillsdale College online courses, 2) do numerous software tutorials, 3) helps me keep track of my Bible reading, 4) keep my home cleaner than I might otherwise, 5) hit the gym when I might not otherwise have felt like going, and could I go on!

My father was a master at the piano. Could improvise and sound like Chopin. How'd he get so good?

Practice. Hours and hours and hours and hours and hours of practice. 8 hrs a day for years.

You may be able to achieve that, but it'll require a strong commitment.

The numbers in parenthesis are the minute estimates.

The question marks below are optional items that are not immediate needs, but that I may get to should the others be completed and I have more time. The "miscellaneous" item includes things that just occur during a day (like going to the bathroom and such) that will take up time, but are not plan-able. But, that helps me to realistically plan the day, as there are only a finite number of minutes each day.

I don't expect anyone but myself to take this this far, but it might give others here an idea on how to taylor something like this to their own needs. And, being single, I can do this. Being married, such an agenda list would have to be much more flexible and simple.

Being a handyman e.g. making DIY furniture, fixing car engines + in depth knowledge of car mechanics, building outdoor patios, and renovating rooms. Along with that I'd love to get really good at wilderness survival, all in an attempt to get self sufficient.
