God did.

"And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread." - Numbers 21:5 KJV

Still, Love in Jesus,

When you were laying that floor in oak from so many beds you would have to have paid more attention to the direction of the boards than you have done here to the direction of words - else the floor was a liability and a tripping hazard.

I believe you, brother.
Yep. I didn't mention how the others felt because I knew they were already embarrassed the week before. lol.

But sometimes it doesn't matter what the people think. It only matters what God thinks.

Plus, it's actually dangerous to despise someone who is pouring out their heart before the Lord. Remember what happened to King David's wife Michal when she dissapproved of David's worshipping the Lord with all his might. 2 Samuel 6:14-23

2 Samuel 6:14-23 KJV
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod. [15] So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet. [16] And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. [17] ....Omitted for brevity... [20] Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself! [21] And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD. [22] And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. [23] Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

I was horrified when the Lord knocked me off my feet...and in a church I knew nothing about! And then I couldn't get up off the floor for awhile. How dare He embarrass me like that?
Six and half years later He did it again...at least this time I was alone. Then, without even asking me, He flew a tongue of fire into my chest and made babbling come out of my mouth. How dare He...who does He think He is?

Yes but it does matter what people say. Perversely - I think you may have given me a basis to seek that vengeful hand of God with a renewed zeal and seek for a gender change so that I can fein my lack of bearing children in my own body with sufficient conviction to convince others that David was a bad king.

I hadn't really noticed this emboldened portion of verse 22 before now... [22] "And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour." - 2 Sam. 6:23

Thank you Jesus!

Mr Rhomphaeam,
I don't grasp the meaning of your last sentence, but what people say is between them and God. Each will give account of his own words.

Let the word of God have free course. Let Satan be bound and silent. In Jesus name.

Mr Chisholm, if you please - but as I said @#1,541 "When you were laying that floor in oak from so many beds you would have to have paid more attention to the direction of the boards than you have done here to the direction of words - else the floor was a liability and a tripping hazard."

As for Satan - how will you bind him? You can no more bind my words than you can control your own words.

That quote ought to stop us in our tracks for contemplation. (and I don't say that lightly)

Hello Kelby!

You have a heart open to Truth and great love for God! I enjoy all your posts!

Being thankful is a very powerful spiritual weapon! It can silence our flesh and pull us out of deep depression!

Only the humble can be thankful for the “little.”

Pride despises the “little.”

The flesh can always find something to murmur and complain about….no matter what nothing’s ever good enough….this ends in misery and sadness.

The spirit can always find something to rejoice and give thanks to God for…no matter how little it’s always good enough…this ends in great joy and happiness.

Hallelujah! Let’s be thankful!

Praise the Lord that he helps in regards to our inhibitions. I asked God why the spirit of the Lord sat upon each of them on the day of Pentecost. Basically it was to put some pressure on them until their resistance wore down and they were able to submit to what he wanted to give them (and what they were praying for).

As a precept in personal wellbeing those words, sister may well be adequate. But as a mechanism to steal the strong mans possessions - it is a worthless enterprise. Your own words establish your meanings - and it may only be a matter of the hand of God that will provide the division that makes it clear. @#210

For your encouragement.

I want to add that I don't consider you an enemy.

My impression is that you've been through some stuff (hard times, oppression, etc) and that God has been and still is bringing you through.

I'll keep praying for you, and I ask that you keep praying for me.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby

I don't have an encouraging video that I could think of right off the bat, but when I was struggling through that 18 months, a version of this picture was one of my favorite and most enduring encouragements.

Brother, I don't concern myself with what I have endured in life. I don't look for recovery - or healing or any such thing. In fact I rather despise the whole premise of self recovery because it has dragged the churches into a meaning of being in the kingdom where the kingdom is like a field and the field as a type of being the kingdom of heaven. It is going to lead to the Man of Sin - as an extension of the church in that meaning. On the other hand I recognise that others - many others and almost a multitude of others are weak and only strong when they are the focus of truth - even when that truth is a wonderful reality of God. My concern and my calling are for the churches in so far as it is for the return of Christ and the need for believers to dress in readiness.

So I will never yield to your premise for myself and only for yourself insofar as there is a need for compassion. My face is as flint.

I know the Voice of my Beloved, and the words you speak are NOT His.

Yes, sister, I knew that you would believe that to be so. In this thread our few exchanges could hardly disguise that inevitable meaning. Shall we falter into foolish boasts as though hearing the Lord were a matter of being anointed to speak ourselves. If we do then I know a man who has seen Christ with his own eyes in the day that he was saved - and seeing the white of His garment and having His hand upon his head - thought foolishly that which is meet for a child - and still thinks foolishly that which is meet for judgement.

Hey Lafftur, from one charismatic babbler to another...bless you!
Reading about the Israelites complaining about the manna in Numbers 11 reminds me to be thankful for what the Lord provides, especially in our pittied, pampered, and petted society!

May the Lord continue to increase your joy and bring every healing to your body that you have need of, in the precious Holy and Mighty Name of our Savior, Lord, Deliverer, King and Healer…Jesus Christ, amen and amen!(y)
