Politics vrs the word of God.

Being a conservative is not enough. Being republican is not enough. Holding to a biblical perspective is what required.
How do you see what's happening in this world today. Will it come to pass? Has God allowed this to happen and why?
Is it the leadership? Have you given up caring? Is your spirit troubled?

Things will play out exactly as God said they would. I'm not looking forward to the suffering that is to come, but I'm looking forward very much to my redemption.

Thinking a political party can save anyone from the inevitable is a pipe dream.

We are seeing prophecy unfold before our eyes. We are witnessing the great apostasy. We have seen the deception that fools even the elect. We are seeing the time when many Christians (in name at least) will not put up with sound teaching. They prefer concerts with God words set to music. It's like trying to live on ice cream.

I don't know whether to be troubled or excited. Maybe I should be both!

well I dont see whats happening in the world today unless my eyes are glued to the tv 24/7
and then tv only shows you snippets of it anyway.

What I think christians need to do is focus on God and humble themselves and pray and He will forgive our sins and heal our lands.

polticians are never going to 'humble themselves' when they are in power. this is why they are not to be elected for too long. power goes to their heads eventually. It may only when their firstborns die that a politican will actually step down and say well thats enough. As happened to the Pharoah. God knows what Hes doing.

politicians are only human.

if anybody is troubled over anything all you need to do is pray.

It is the very first thing to do. God cares for even the sparrow. I notice the sparrows dont elect other sparrows to lord it over them or have fights over who is the best sparrow.

The masses have turned to politicians for guidance rather than Scripture and Christian leaders.

Regardless of who is in power or what party they are of romans 13:1 tells us they are subject to God that God has placed them there. Weather they share a biblical view or not.
As we know not to far from now a anti-christ shall rise to power and God allows this.
But dealing with the here and now what do you think God is saying to the nations?
Why does he allow those who oppose his words lead?

I think judgment is set and He no longer is speaking to the wicked nations.
There was a time He told Isaiah to not pray for Israel, He would not listen or hear.
I believe we are there today.

I agree. I believe many nations are under the judgment of abandonment.
