I have often wondered how those who believe salvation can be lost deal with the uncertainty
of sinning to the point of losing their salvation, but then I realized they believe they do not sin.

Why do you think so many people have become monks who flog themselves? Yet Paul condemns asceticism in Scripture.

They cannot have believed the gospel, they cannot have believed that Jesus was the Lamb of God sent to die for our sins ... if they had believed that they would have done everything they could to keep Him alive.

There is a believing in doctrines that is not the faith which saves. True faith always results in correspondent action or works.

The devils or demons believe what? Of course Paul had weaknesses . I do not think that he was talking about his moral weaknesses in the context he spoke about the thorn in his flesh rather his sufferings as he also brought up in Colossians 1:24

Infirmities does not have same meaning wherever it appears in the scripture. Its meaning depends on the context. This I believe.

If our faith is not fruitful in every good work, it becomes doubtful if we are truly born of God as we profess.

Chastisement is punishment for our bad behaviour. The essence is for us to repent and come back to the light. Where we fail to repent and continue in the state of sin, he deals with us a sinner. there is no two ways about it.

I must point out that there is another kind of chastisement meant to prove us as sons. This is different from that which results from sin.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Lukewarm is the people who are riding the fence on there believing in Jesus. Do you think after you become a Christian you stop Sinning? You don’t. Yes we can walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. There are daily battles.
