'Shortly previous to the first coming of Christ the Holy Ghost, although He and given through Daniel the definite prophecy of the seventy weeks, gave a special revelation unto the devout Simeon-who was 'waiting for the consolation of Israel' to-wit:' that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ Luke 2;26. And this lead us to ask: May not the same blessed Spirit who thus revealed this mighty event to Simeon of old (and probably to the aged Anna, also) likewise give unto a favored one , or chosen few of the faithful watching ones , to know that their glad eyes shall see His appearing and that they shall never taste of death. Even so now ,many of the most devout and faithful of God's people in all denominations both in this and foreign lands are seriously impressed with the conviction that the coming of the Lord is near." *
Its easy to see that the author grants all who agree with his prediction the status of , faithful, devout and spiritual. This tactic is all the more common today. When anything counter to pop eschatology is expressed many adherents of it will dismiss the opposition as unlearned, unspiritual and even unfaithful.
Another common factor is the implied urgency. Of course it is also implied that if you dont 'get it' you are unlearned, unspiritual and even unfaithful. Sometimes it is even said outright. Sad as it may be some have even taken up the notion that the Holy Spirit has purposely led the church to live in this constant state of urgency , of believing rapture is very likely soon ( this time) and could come at any second. Forgetting that the imminent rapture could by no means have preceded the birth of modern Israel, if that is a fulfillment of prophecy. The author dutifully includes reference to the 'fig tree' as a sign of the nearness of "the end of this dispensation" .
But its really its the bait that is the problem. Believers pine for the slimmest chance , even hoping to see the slaughter and destruction of millions, to cheat death. It is a shame. It would be easy to think they dont really believe they will have a perfect view and experience of the last events if they have passed.
This has led us , the American church, to sowing only for the short term. And what we read in the headlines is , far from some pre-ordained escatological outcome , it is simply the gathering what we have planted.

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:1-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;”
‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭1:7-9‬ ‭

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

There is nothing comforting about yet another sensational claim of 'very soon' rapture. In fact these silly and false claims have proven wrong EVERY one so far) and harmful.

To those who aren't sure who William E. Blackstone is in regards to the OP,

W. E. Blackstone is a dispensational pre-millennialist, highly influence by John Nelson Darby, and often called the father of Zionism. That should be enough to give you an idea of what exactly he stands for.

As far as I know the rapture has no warning signs. It can happen at any moment. That's why the Saints of the Lord are always ready for what can happen in the blink of an eye.

Of course , and there are no intervening prophesied events from John 14 to the present, so long as they skip over 1948 heh heh

I agree with you - read Isaiah 52.

Zion and Jerusalem have not risen yet.

Isaiah52:1 Awake, awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for henceforth there shall no more come into thee the uncircumcised and the unclean.

The Church will properly proclaim the coming of the Lord.

Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

There will be salvation in the world.

Isaiah 52:10 The Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

God is in no rush for the Rapture.

Isaiah 52:12 For ye shall not go out with haste, nor go by flight: for the Lord will go before you; and the God of Israel will be your reward.

Christians do not know the true nature of Jesus.

Isaiah52:14 As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Luke 9:55-56

55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

His message is yet to be driven home.

Isaiah 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.

There is an End Time Message in the Bible that will be unsealed in the Last Days. The seventh angel is the angel of the Rapture

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

God declared to the Old Testament prophets a future event before it happened. It is so powerful that when people hear it they will realize there is a living God.

Isaiah 43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.

Isaiah 48:3 I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.

Isaiah 48:4-6

4 Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;

5 I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

6 Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.

They then must choose to be saved or else be left behind for the tribulation that will test those on the earth. A test they do not want to live through.

Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Those who say the Rapture will happen at any moment are false prophets - there is work to be done to bring the beauty, joy and salvation of the Second Coming of Jesus to the world. The Rapture and the Second Coming of Jesus will be big news - all will know of it and have a chance to be saved from the tribulation of the evil ones.

Isaiah 44:7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

Did you have a point to make ? So far you've done well proving mine.
just offering some scripture in case people hadn’t read those ones no need to get defensive or anything

it’s always good to consider what scripture says when considering what people say

what’s screaming are you talking about ?

if your talking about the emboldened letters you can go back through any post ive ever made and find bold letters it’s not screaming or shouting but emphasizing things

it seems like people here are just looking for some reason to argue and criticize others if it’s not there it seems we go to our perception of what they “really secretly intend “

but anyways it’s all good carry on I will move to a different thread God bless
