I feel like I'm at the end of my rope in an abusive relationship. I do everything I can to protect my child from my soon-to-be exes outbursts, but I'm terrified that he'll snap and injure her like he does me. I feel SO trapped. I can't even leave the house other than to step out back and hang laundry or play with my daughter. Even IMPLYING I want to go out sets him off. These aren't small rages, either. Busted mirrors, drywall, dishes, appliances. He smashed the front of the microwave last night in a rage, because it belonged to me. Dressers torn apart, clothes thrown out, and that's just what he does to things around the house. I've been bruised, shoved, screamed at, and literally trapped in this house with my child. I've been jumped for trying to call the police. I've called when nothing is happening and naturally, nothing is done. I get a little peace when he works nights, but it's short lived. He doesn't work full-time, so it's only a night or two of peace at a time. I just need safety, for my child if nothing else. Please pray for us, so that we can escape this situation we're trapped in. I don't know when I'll be able to check back here, but I'll try. Just pray for us, please. Pray hard.

Powerful, Almighty and Holy God . . . we come to you with many of us knowing exactly what these circumstances feel like. We pray for a swift resolution for this woman and her Blessed child. We beg of you to give her quick relief, not only for their physical safety, but for their peace of mind.

Lord, we also ask that you would show this woman and her child, that this man's views and opinions have nothing to do with her. Cause her to believe and know that she is a good, wonderful, normal, and healthy person. And, protect the mind of the little one. We know that these situations can bring forth a change and alteration of how one views themselves. Please, Powerful God, I beg of you that you would not let this happen. Instead, cause her to be Truly Confident; to always believe in herself as a good, healthy, and balanced individual. And finally Lord, compel us, if you Will, to help her in any way that we are able. Those who might have professional experience in these areas, Lord, cause them to write to her privately, even if that means paying the site membership so that she can be privately helped. These solutions must often remain concealed.

Powerful Lord, I believe in you 100%. I KNOW that you are able to protect her. I pray this prayer in the Name of your Powerful Son, Jesus . . .amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us...

Sis, Have you told your family about your situation? Is it possible to ask them to take you and your child out from that house while the abusive man is out to work? It is not easy...but you have to be strong for your child and yourself...Plan...plan your escape...You need to be careful...you need to carefully plan how you will leave the abuser make sure you have the courage, and resources to make it happen...

Keep some money with you...keep yourself strong and healthy, keep photos of the abuse send it to your trusted friends or loved ones...I know there are numbers you can call to report an abuse... try to save those numbers also...I pray God will give you the courage, the strength, and the resources to be able to protect yourself and your child. I also pray that you can get out from that abusive relationship soon, IN JESUS NAME AMEN 🙏🏻 ❤

First dear Morning Dove (great screen name), I am sending hugs as I type. You and your situation has touched me deeply. I am sorry that you are having to endure abuse.

Lord, please help her; keep her safe in You arms, Lord. Give her strength and wisdom and Lord a door, if need be, to walk away. She is scared and hurting, please help her. Help him too, Lord, reveal Your glory to Him, that he might get help too.

Thank you guys for all the support and prayers. Today hasn't started off well at all, so I don't know when I'll be able to check back in, but I wanted to thank everyone while I can. I'm not able to message anyone myself to thank them or answer questions safely, but you can message me if you have any. I have to my best to not let my ex catch on, I don't want to set him off worse.

Do your very best not to do or say anything that will set him off. He knows that he is in legal trouble for the abuse, which is why he has such tight control over you. I am so, so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your daughter so deeply.

Doing my best. I just feel SO trapped. I'd be gone already, if I was able. I have a safe place to go, I just have to GET there. It's states away and with no money for gas, bus fare, or even food, we'd never make it there.

I wish there were someone that could come and get you and take you to where you need to go. It is important to get you to a place of safety.

Do you know why your husband is behaving this way? Is he an alcoholic?

Unfortunately your husband is not going to change anytime soon. You need to find a way to protect your daughter and yourself. I am sure women's agencies have a lot of experience with these sorts of matters. Do you have someone who can take care of your child?

I have no idea. He just became more and more abusive after our daughter was born. I'm doing what I can to protect her and try to get away, I even have a place to go. Just have to find a way to actually go there.

There isn't someone in your church who can take you where you need to go? His behavior is unlikely to get better until he finds himself in tremendous trouble. I'm sure that he's not happy with himself in how he treats you both, but he is unable to control himself. He's in too deep.

Here our police department will remove you from your current situation and deliver you to a safe house. If you return to your current situation, you are on your own.

We will continue to pray for you.
