Why did God have to send Paul to Fulfill what Jesus started, I thought Jesus said It is Done?
Jesus work was finished on the cross, the church's job was to preach to the whole world that it was finished. When Jesus gave the great commission right before his ascension, that was the beginning.

Rom 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
Jesus Christ came to bring God's Kingdom on earth to His people. They refused to believe Christ.
Read Romans 9. 10. and 11.

@Goliath , Regarding your Post #580...

I was just wondering how it was that Eve could be "the mother of all the living" IF it were the case that other people had also been created at the same time that they were, and would also be producing / bearing children.

It doesn't seem to me to jive with what Scripture itself tells us, per this verse I'm asking you about (Gen3:20). = )

No need for you to respond... just something to think about. = )

Luke 21:29-33
29 eThen He spoke to them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. 30 When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. 31 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. 32 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. 33 fHeaven and earth will pass away, but My gwords will by no means pass away.

Just my opinion but all the signs point to we are in the beginings of tribulation,or it has already started. I say it has begun 4-11-22
What gospel are you trusting for salvation ?

Now it may not have been the case while Adam was alive, but it could have been a prophecy God gave Adam in one of his walks in the Garden.
Just a thought...Noah was a direct descendant of Adam and Eve, was he not?
And since everyone else was killed in the flood, doesn't everyone born after the flood share DNA with Adam and Eve?

A prophet must be supported by 2 or more passages in the other books of the Bible, a prophet can not use his own sayings as proof he is a prophet.
2Co 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

I have never come across an explanation of “these last days” referring to nearly 2,000 years of history that doesn’t stretch credulity beyond the breaking point. That’s longer than the entire history of Israel from Abraham to Jesus.

It makes far more sense to me that “these last days” refers to the last days of ancient Israel and Levitical Judaism, not of humanity as a whole. All of the temporal indications are synonymous with “very soon”. Only on a (secular) geological timescale would 2,000 years be described as “very soon”.
"Little children, it is the last time. And as ye have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists, whereby we know that this is the last time."

A term equivalent to "last days" (4X). Spanning the entire Church Age IMO.

Actually many people believed and followed the Christ, and in Acts, the Disiples were adding to the Church Daily.

Passover is always on the same day every Year, it is 14 days after the first full moon of Spring, Every Year.
Actually that is incorrect. The beginning of the Hebrew month is the first sighting of the New Moon. The exact day or hour no one knows (Jesus used this idiom very often). Furthermore silver trumpets were sounded (Num 10:10) and special sacrifices (Num 28:11-14) were made at the beginning of months.

There is good reason to believe that the "last trumpet" of 1Corinthians 15:52 is idiomatic of these silver trumpets. The "last trump" is definitely NOT the 7th trumpet of Revelation.....those are judgment trumpets.

Interesting fact:
In human genetics, the Mitochondrial Eve (also mt-Eve, mt-MRCA) is the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all living humans. In other words, she is defined as the most recent woman from whom all living humans descend in an unbroken line purely through their mothers and through the mothers of those mothers, back until all lines converge on one woman.

Which would be the real Eve in my opinion, what would be the odds of another first woman?

Christ said," Unless those days are shortened, no flesh will be saved". The end will happen at a time when humane life on Earth is threatened with mass extenction.

So are we close to that? If WW3 happens and nukes are used, then yes the radiation fallout could kill everyone, if it is at high enough levels.

So we seem to be near the last days. We should look forward to the return of Christ.

Can you boil this down to a sentence or two?[/
No we are not in the end Tim yet but at the beginning of the beginning. Daniel chapter 12 gives us a hint of the end times. Knowledge shall increase and people shall fun to and from, but the end times have not come. Even Jesus told us that no one knows the day or the time. Not even the Son of Man knows when he will return only the father in heaven knows the times.
I think the end times will start at the sign of peace with the rider of the White horse of revelation 6.
No we are no in the end times yet but close to it. Keep studying the end times prophecies.

Greeings, Hann.

When studying scripture, it is best to analyze verses in light of their surrounding contexts rather than cherry pick one from one epistle and one from another to create a doctrinal position. Your post bounces around all over the place like a ping pong ball, and ends up first introducing a text about moral/ spiritual conditions present during the early church (and by extension that will be again in the years ahead, and both specifically as a result of the influence of Gnosticism), over into a passage about conditions in relation to the coming of the Antichrist, then over into passages about the dispensation of grace, as if the three were somehow related when in fact all three are dealing with different subject matter.

But let's take your lead text for starters:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

Now, in context he is actually talking about the Gnostics, who were a group of heretics who professed to be Christians but were not. This is why Paul stated here that they will have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof, and instead lead lives of ungodliness. Does it relate to what is going on now? Gnosticism actually making a slow come back in the earth now. There are numerous websites now dedicated to it, and I have seen Christian forums elsewhere where groups of them have shown up en masse and started trying to subvert the Christian atmosphere of the forum just as they were attempting to enter into churches during New Testament times and subvert them spiritually (Jude 1:4).

Are we in the end-times proper according to this particular passage (without treating any of the others yet)? No, but we appear to be getting closer, judging by the growth of that heresy in the earth once again.

Hope that helps a little,
Vindicator
So true. Vert good advise
