Your thoughts on jeans

I have my husband in wranglers and he likes them a lot.

I recently had to buy him a new set of jeans because his older ones had gotten too snug in the waist (good eating.. lol) so I purchased one size up but got him the new comfort waistband just in case and he's totally in love with them... (I'm not sure of the style name off the top of my head just now)...

But yeah, for guys wranglers rock..

$200.00 for a pair of jeans?

I like the dark blue (not black) skinny jeans but not too stretchy, the types you can put inside boots if necessary. I wear those to work on Fridays, and also outside of work. You can pair any top with it. I don't like thick jeans as I find them uncomfortable.

Sounds like you cowboy up there bro. I do 13's instead of 47. Are 47's boot cut? I always try to avoid boot cut because I think the tapered cut gives a better stack with my ropers, lacers, and combat boots. So just curious if they are boot cut.

I wear leggings and skirt or dress or chinos with boots just dont even need jeans at all, just an unnecessary item

also very expensive $120- $200 for jeans? no thanks

they dont look great on women anyway...kind of trashy actually, especially the ones that are sold deliberately ripped and torn and faded, why would you buy something NEW thats already looking like its been through the garabage dump

I recall this book, think was made into movie, about the mythical pair of jeans that actually fit four women (not all at the same time) like they shared the same jeans? who does that?


I didnt even finish reading that book cos it was just a fantasy really, totally unbelievable lol

I thought they were, but Wrangler officially calls them "cowboy cut".... the legs are not flared, they are straight..... they fit over my boots just fine, and they still look good with shoes...
Most places sell them for between $35 and $45.... they are true "5 pocket" jeans... two front pockets, with a watch pocket on the front right side pocket, and two hip pockets.

more reason why I dont care for jeans

- too many brands and they all look the same but SLIGHTLY different how would you even know what is the 'right one' since only come in two colours

- uncomfortable in hot weather unless you take a pair of scissors to them and slash some holes in them

- then your jeans look like they been massacred, but hey they jeans who even cares?

- if they too long you got to cuff them or take them to a tailor to shorten them because your sewing machine is not gonna handle heavy denim

- belt cutting your stomach or they fall down

- why not just wear overalls?

- what is with the button fly?? and the buttons or rivets. who has the time to be undoing and doing those up?

- I had too many church ladies called Jean or Jan or Jane or Joan or Jen... it just got confusing

-why is there a 'boyfriend jean' but not a 'girlfriend jean'? is wearing your boyfriends jeans a good idea? He might want them back after he borrowed your skirt

- my best jacket I bought from a 'Just Jeans' store but it was a denim jacket it was a red polar fleece one so false advertising it didnt sell JUST jeans

- bum crack

- jeans fade but then they look faded and old and ugly

- but you can just buy new faded ones already faded so what is with that

- why not just buy white jeans?

- the people who make the jeans have a boring life cos they just sewing jeans all day everyday and ripping them up for people rich enough to buy them, not a sweatshop but a jeanshop

- the label is huge and on the outside ..why?

- have to wear a belt or you stuck

- women had coathangers trying to pull the zippers on their jeans closed

-nothing comes between brooke shields and her calvins that were skin tight but she claimed that was innocent and she did wear underwear...but jury out on that one, did she?

- low riders do show your underwear

- ok, most ppl are not cowboys if you are cowboy or a miner, they might be your uniform fine, but in wet weather they going to drown you. which is why gardeners dont wear jeans

- they make good pencil cases, or aprons but not good pants

- the denim skirt is a weird hybrid

Look a skirt made of jeans...why? notice the useless fly on the front. Maybe its to draw attention to that area I dunno

I doubt it. Front zips are probably easier than either of the two alternatives you mention.

I prefer elasticized waistbands anyways Or pull-string type In other words, adjustable.

just wondering why doesnt your hubby buy his own jeans or he just doesnt have time to shop? Or he just gets you to order...am a bit mystified

what is the difference between levis and wrangler? just look the same to me
also, how would you even tell the difference between mens jeans and womens jeans other than in a jeans store where womens are on one side and men on the other?

I dont think so side zips are definitely easier
and back zips opening over the biggest part of your body the bottom..giving you a smooth front not a bunched up crotch

larger opening at back, easier to get into

button front skirts are annoying, I wouldnt buy them, but it is hard to do buttons up the back, so zips are better

side zips and buttons are probably best in terms of comfort for pants if you not have elastic or drawstring

people just wore suspenders in olden days to hold up their pants

I'd probably get a stitch in my side doing up a side zip

Can't say I've ever seen a bunched up crotch on a skirt.

A well cut garment makes allowances for body shape. A zipper on the back is not going to make any difference that way.
