God’s word is spirit and must be spiritually discerned. And God does not dispense deeper understanding of His ways democratically: wisdom is required. There are messages for the young and for the mature. Here’s the rub about sons of God: if you can’t receive that these are men it will affect your understanding of who you are in Christ.
Oh, I see . . . . You are right that God's Word is spiritually discerned and spiritual interpretation is not done by democracy! Hmmmm!
And then I notice your spiritual status states "not a Christian" -- but I guess you are claiming God's Spirit is telling you the correct interpretation here - - . . . . . Hmmmmmm?

Sorry, I do not accept your deeper understanding here . . . if you want to argue interpretation of the text that is a very valid issue, but to claim a deeper revelation because you are "mature" - well, you may do that - but I am not intimidated or fooled by you . . .

The sons of God always represent the saints
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Job 1:6 ; Job 2; 1 ; Job 38:7

sons of God here = angels

Melekh in Hebrew and Angelos in Greek/Latin are messengers...back in a day when there was no cell phones, radios, or even telephones.

There's nothing glamorous about being a messenger. You don't originate the message nor are you important to anyone in a caste based society. Most times in Hebrew literature they are never mentioned. (Compare Luke's account of "Faith of the Centurion" to Matthew's. )

So...
Since God made these messengers...why would He endow them with reproductive organs?
(Obviously God would not as Jesus declared)
God doesn't change his mind...He is immutable.
God doesn't practice anything...He is always perfect out of the gate.

You never wondered why “Christian” is only used 3 times in the whole of scripture: once as a label from the people of Antioch, once from a pagan ruler, and only once by Peter who tells the saints not to be ashamed if they are persecuted and called ”Christians”? Never in a greeting or closing of an epistle; never in Revelation; and never once by Christ Jesus… in the whole of scripture. It is a label made popular by the Roman church, a nod to the tradition of naming the followers of certain philosophers after the philosopher himself. Instead, those in Christ were called believers, saints, sons of God, children of God, etc.

But I digress: this is a message for the mature with clear Biblical context. However, if you start down this rabbit hole you’ll find that many church traditions originated from the Romans and from Constantine’s amalgamation of demonic pagan ritual and scriptural labels. Or, in the case of “demons having sex with people”, Jewish fables.

But of course: Most assuredly, you are free to continue your way without any harassment from me. My writings on this site are of little importance to those who say so.

They were the ancient priesthood of men who were led by the Spirit of God as administrators of the covenant of sonship between God the Father and God the Son going all the way back to Abel and culminating in Christ, the high priest, in the order of Melchizedek.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’
31 “Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt.33 Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?34 Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.”

This original priesthood is restored in Christ.

I don't think that he was promoting that....
But I might be wrong and forgetful.

I think people don't understand that not all humans are children of God. All are creations of God, but you only become a son by becoming born again. A NEW, direct creation. Jesus said "I NEVER KNEW you". He never made them a new creation.
Like ALL sons MUST be, including the angels.
UNTIL then, we are born in the dead, spiritual likeness of Adam, NOT God.

So SETH, and all who ever lived, are born in Adam's fallen likeness. That's why Jesus had to come in the first place.

Scripture TELLS us that Seth was born in Adam's fallen likeness:

Genesis 5

New King James Version

The Family of Adam
5 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2 He created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. 3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

God created Adam in His likeness and image.
Adam fell, and spiritually died.

Adam THEN begat Seth in his fallen likeness and image.

Hebrews 1:5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

And where do you get that Angels become New Creations in Christ ? That they also gain salvation? This seems a very twisted theology to me.

Talk about twisting!
I didn't say that.

WE, are born again children of God, but we are NOT His Only Begotten Son. ONLY Jesus is that.

Who were the "sons of God" shouting for joy when God made the Universe?

WHO?????

I know, I know, name calling and accusations are so much easier than dealing with facts.

You said like all sons must be - referring to being born again, then said including angels - so is surprising you was misunderstood? :p

The Hebrews verses I quoted says no angels are called sons.
The sons of God represent the saints.
Just as the spirits of the saints were before the throne of God in Revelation 7:9-12, they were also before the throne of God in Job 1:6; 2:1 and 38:7

And no one was name calling btw

So Abel's blood literally called out ? or was it symbolic or spiritually?
It tells you in Revelation 1:1 that the book is symbolic " he sent and signified it "

Yeah. What has that to do with beings witnessing God creating the Universe?

You said the Saints, which include all born again, which includes YOU, witnessed the Creation.

So, what was it like when you stood there in front of God and jumped for joy?

Ok I get it - you do not want a serious discussion or debate, you are just messing about, my mistake :)

Nope. That’s a cop out.

You said it was the Saints that witnessed God creating the Universe.

You said that because you simply cannot admit that it was actually the angels that witnessed Creation .

So you came up with the ridiculous notion that WE, the Saints, actually were the beings.

So my question is valid. What was it like to jump for joy watching God create the Universe?

Oh. BTW, we have to exclude Job himself from being a Saint, because God was questioning where he was while He was creating.

I have already explained all that, but you have resorted to silliness. I have also pointed out to you that God does not call angels sons of God (Hebrews 1:5).

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

YOU said the "sons of God" in Job are the Saints.

You then said something about the blood of Abel as some kind of a proof that it was Saintly human beings that witnessed God creating the Universe. Even though Abel wasn't conceived, lived, or been murdered til AFTER creation.

So please don't juke, don't jive, don't dodge, or squirm, tell us who the "sons of God" are in Job.

BTW, The Septuagint, which is the Greek translation of the Old Testament, that was commissioned, and in common use in Israel because of the Grecian Empire well before Christ's Birth, which Jesus Himself very often quoted from, EXPRESSLY says ANGELS in Job.

Satan’s First Attack
6And it came to pass on a day, that behold, the angels of God came to stand before the Lord, and the devil came with them.
