Hullo fellow Christians,

I was born in a Christian family that never really honoured God. I joined the Indian Army at a young age. Got married after my military training to a nominal Christian and had two children. At the age of 50 there was a strong desire to know the Lord God and in 1984 I was born again and then baptised shortly after and also received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

After I retired from the Army in 1988, the Lord brought me to know the value of becoming a member of the church of Jesus Christ. I began to study the Word of God in earnest. I have remained a committed elder in the church. Now at the age of 88 there is a desire within to have fellowship with other Christians. Of course there is much more that goes in between the lines, but the heart still yearns for much more of the end purposes of God for believers. There is a quest that carries on to come to the fullness of Christ.

I was in the US Army from 1979 -1983 stationed at Ft. Cambell, KY with the 101st Airborne Division. I should have stayed in but had a horrible wife at the time who dragged me down. Fellowship with other Christians is what happens here. Glad to have you join our family. Welcome to CC.

Fellowship with ex servicemen is great, but a time comes when the past life in the forces is overtaken by the life of Christian whose focus is upon Christ and His purpose. Of course it is inclusive and yet there comes a separation within to the things of the Spirit. At present I am more interested in knowing the purpose of God.

Nice to meet you and welcome to the fellowship here at CC! With all the Forums and Threads here I hope you'll find the answers you are seeking. Are you asking what is the purpose of God?
Psalm 135:6
Whatever the Lord pleases, He does,
In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.
Proverbs 16:4
The Lord has made everything for its own purpose,
Even the wicked for the day of evil.

God bless and keep you!

That is a wonderful testament to God's timing brother ... coming to the fulness of Christ is a certainty, but we might have to wait for the clouds of glory. :)

Welcome.

Yes, Bro Evmur, I believe that God is preparing a remnant people to experience His glory, even as He did in the OT. I am part of the Body of Christ here in India and the Lord is ministering a powerful word of faith to us in the church that assembles in Good Samaritan Fellowship. I have the faith to believe we shall see the glory of the Son as we pursue His call upon our lives. The call of Christ is a something that is working in my life so that despite my age I am strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus (2Tim2:1).
