I have been very busy caring for six other seniors and my brother. Maybe I will have time this weekend.
You have been very busy! How is Larry doing these days? Any better?

I just woke up.... seeking my morning radiation...
Here's a thought. I was listening to a dissertation recently by a medical professor, where he suggested that a good dose of NIR a day help staves off dementia. Hasn't worked for me, but maybe it will work for an oversized lizard 🤔🤭

what is NIR?
sorry

I thought maybe not drinking alcohol would stave off dementia, since alcohol is known to kill brain cells. A lot of people I know that had dementia drank a lot when they were younger.

Dinner tonight...not exactly exotic. My savoury scones often turn out like rock cakes...stoopid oven. Anyway, I can use them as the main in a dish, and they're always handy as wheel chocks if I need to work on the car.
Perhaps your scones need more baking powder? One Tsp per cup of flour?

Looks yummy anyway!

save all the cat hair you can to chase away unwanted small animals.

Since it is warm put a small box of sand outside with cat nip. At the end, just pour it into the trash can.

My cat may be the biggest shedder, as she is by far the fluffiest :giggle:

No way do we let the cats outdoors... Plus, getting sand out of cat hair sounds like a nightmare LOL

Is Larry's possible next surgery for a hernia?

G'day guys, how's your day been?

Mine's been pretty laid back...gym in the morning, cafe for coffee, a wee bit of shopping, put up a solar security light on the shed, more shopping, more coffee, now winding down. Cat needs to be fed soon, then to cook up something for myself for dinner. All the while grateful for God's blessing, and hoping I can pay Him back in some way by doing good.

I hope you have had a good one. Feel free to describe yours please, for other than the times I get to chat with the Father, mine can be a bit mundane. Shalom, Tony 🙂
Well we are working 10 hr. shifts atm. I am utility on the line. You name it I do it. We make frozen pizza's on our line. Fully automative which means at full speed our busy work goes from 10 mph to 80 mph in seconds, lol . If you have seen the I love lucy episode where she is trying to keep up with the chocolate , well this is crazier than that. We have several places it can get jammed up. Trying to catch 100 to 300 pizzas takes alot of skill and people. Plus side it helps me with my workout. I get paid in more than one way. The floor supervisor has a spitfire anger issue. But usually not at me, I stay busy.
We have so many in and out of the place it amazes me. I wonder how people can afford to pay their bills when they quit these jobs. We got several newbies yesterday. I was left to train a few. They took one newbie and left me with someone who should not be working where I work. I am not being mean , she just has the mentality of between an 8- 10 yr. old. Well needless to say did not set well with our boss. She constantly stands around or hides in the bathroom. She gets mad if you try and let her know something and pouts. I just stay busy and don't say much. They also put many over to help me who do not understand english. Which is cool I learn some more spanish and they learn english and seem to enjoy my easy going nature. We also have a few who speak swahili . I am kind of glad the lady knows some english though. I am unsure if I know any swahili. No mundaneness at my work. I wonder if that would be a great thing to put on my resume flying pizza catcher hmmmm...

Do you brush yours every day? I know if I don't brush my cat daily I'm up for a horrifying experience of stepping on a squishy murky furball in bare feet. Arrrgh.😖

Your up late tonight Tony, was it the scones? lol.
It is 10pm in WA.
No, but I think I may have poisoned myself with something else I cooked. 😒

Yes, it is a bit late 🙂, but it's great catching up with you. How are things in WA? Have you settled in Ok in your new digs?

Some of the frozen meals on special are cheap if your cooking is not too good.
The butcher over here cooks a whole roast chicken with roast veggies in those tin foil dishes and sells it for ten dollars which is very good value. You cut it in quaters and freeze it and grab when needed.

I am getting used to the joint but it is only till the end of July which is only a few weeks away and then they and I will decide if it continues. I have left it in the hands of God and I will await on what he says. He will either allow for it to be extended or not.

Is the flooding over east anywhere near you? Looks pretty bad.

Her furriness changes over time, and oddly enough, she seems fluffier now than she did not long ago,
which seems strange because it would make more sense to me if she had less fluff in the summer LOL.
I do brush her regularly, but even then, two seconds after a good brushing she may pull a clump from her ruff,
and I try to catch her when I see she has a mouth full of fur, just so I can take it from her before she swallows it :giggle:
