Just about anything.

But I never know when or where...never before or during....only after.

And never by my efforts to do so. Never on a stage...even an informal one of a small group.

And that would be the truth.

When the Holy Spirit manifests Himself in tangible ways it is for our own assurance and would indicate to me [after 45 years experience] that we are headed for a rough ride.

It is crucial for us to study God's word. ... that's what the apostles did.

Our Family asks to be filled with every meal. In my case, I get boldness to witness, wisdom and the gift of gab.

I believe it is possible to see the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit gives a sense of love and compassion for people. People are difficult for people to love, but the Holy Spirit enables Christians to have love for one another and it’s most evident when the people who are loved don’t really deserve it.

People tend to understand pain, power, and consequences, but genuine love for one another is a rare thing and the mark of a true Christian; the Holy Spirit of God is Who enables us to serve God in the way He asked.

When you truly love other people in a godly way that seeks to heal, restore, and save people from themselves it’s noticeable.

There are many other fruits of the Holy Spirit, but the greatest of those fruits is love. It’s difficult to explain, you just need to experience it.

The kind of love the Holy Spirit gives isn’t the kind of romantic, butterflies in stomach, love. It’s a love full of intense desire to heal and help that rocks you to the core. I often feel like God shares His emotions with us through His Spirit.

Paul put it like this:

1 Corinthians 2:10-13
10For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. 11For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. 12Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God. 13We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

Your life is changed for the better. You will become more like Jesus.

When the Holy Spirit comes upon the believer, the believer is sealed unto the day of redemption. It is God's guarantee that you are his.

What about when Saul was "with the prophets"?

Regarding the Holy Spirit, you must remember there is a difference between "comes upon you," and His indwelling presence.

Best description of this is with the Holy Spirit baptism, where He "comes upon you" to apply the precious blood of Jesus to cleanse you of your sins. Indwelling presence is when Sanctified believers gather around you, lay hands on you, and pray over you while you earnestly pray to receive His indwelling presence. (as the Apostle Paul wrote of in Acts)

With the Holy Spirit (God) all things are possible!

What about Saul? Saul was not a part of the body of Christ. The body of Christ did not exist until after the resurrection. Upon believing on the cross of Jesus, the Holy Spirit seals the believer. In the OT, the Holy Spirit could come and go from a man.

What happens when the Holy Spirit comes upon you? .... you are born again.

We get the Holy Spirit the very moment we are born again. The Spirit dwelleth within. That is why we must listen and meditate.

John 16:7

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”


John 14:16

“And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”

Maybe you should read 1Samuel 11:6 again.
