In Revelation 10 John has a vision of a "mighty angel" with a little book in his hands. This is my interpretation of the little book.

"Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, 'Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.' So I went to the angel and said to him, 'Give me the little book.' And he said to me, 'Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.' Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. And he said to me, 'You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.' " Revelation 10:8-11

I think it's probably a treaty of some kind between the nations of the world. It's a "little" book; it appears as a book but is much shorter than a book. In Daniel 9:27 we read: "Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."

This "covenant" is the little book. At first it will seem sweet as honey; it will appear to be a grand solution to the plagues that have come upon the world. But in the middle of the week he will break the covenant and it will become bitter to the stomach.

In Revelation 10, the angel stands with one foot on land and one on the sea. This represents the whole world. Notice in v. 11: "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings." This is the first time this phrase appears in Revelation and it's immediately following the introduction of the little book.

Just a quick thought not backed by any study what so ever so with that,
I have always thought of the little book as the book of Revelation itself, the Prophesy of the end days. What you bring up is interesting and one problems I have is that it isn't until the very end that the man of sin is revealed to be who he really is by the brightness of the coming of Christ. Till then, even those they (beast and false prophet) hate don't really know it, because of the lies and deception...

That's an interesting take on the man of sin being revealed. Does that come from 2 Thessalonians 2?

.
To confirm a covenant with many for "one week", could be a week that is 7 times 7 plus 1 = 50 years or 1 jubilee. Looking back 50 years there was covenant made with many nations. In June 1972, people from all over the world gathered in Stockholm, Sweden, for the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment – the first global conference on environmental issues.

UNEP has changed names many times, but it is still the same covenant, but a greater emphasis on human rights, like the LGQBT......rights.....
Have you noticed "climate change" and it is getting hotter and hotter? My understanding is this is YHWY who is causing these world wide events, like fires, hurricanes, typhoons, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, floods and droughts, which are leading the world into famine, plagues and wars.

Deu 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
Deu 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:
Deu 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

A CURSE IF YOU WILL NOT OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS OF YHWY (LORD). See Deuteronomy 28 Blessings and Curses

People are slumbering, and the LORD awakens. Even so, as in Revelations, there are congregations that are not pleasing to YHWY.

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

I pray for the light and the peace of the LORD. This little covenant with many nations has angered the Creator of all. It is not Mother Nature or Gaia that causes these "climate conditions" and it is not the right of the UN and all there accords to make legitimate what the LORD said is an abomination. It was surely a sweet promise (human rights to go against the WORD) in the beginning, but now are we not worse than in the days of Noah or Sodom and Gomorrah? It is a very bitter "little book" and a covenant made with many nations. Will a man cry out as though he is in labor pains? Today, let this be the day that we fall on our faces and covers ourselves with ashes as the city of Nineveh did when Jonah finally, reluctantly came to give them their warning.

Jon 3:1 And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,
Jon 3:2 Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.
Jon 3:3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days' journey.
Jon 3:4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day's journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
Jon 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

How will you respond when a reluctant prophet of God shows up and tells you you have forty days and then the LORD will destroy you?

Remember this book at the right hand of the ark of the covenant next to the mercy seat ?

“Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus fulfilled the law

“And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:1-2, 4-5, 7‬ ‭

you see him worthy to open this sealed and closed book first d then a few chapters later he presents a smaller d an open book to John the apostle

after the sealed book is opened later the open book is given to John a witness of the New Testament the gospel

“And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: and he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭10:1-2, 10-11‬ ‭KJV‬

the gospel is the open book th at is sent to all nations the law is the sealed book no one was worthy to open up so it can be understood that reference of the seals goes back to this Israel’s blindness to Gods word in the law

“For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.

And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed: and the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:

therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭29:10-14‬ ‭

The sealed book no one can read is the old testsment and the curses of the law the open book is the New Testament the gospel which anyone can believe and understand it’s an open invite

11: "You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings." This is the first time this phrase appears in Revelation and it's immediately following the introduction of the little book.
revelation is about the fulfilling of prophecy regarding the kingdom is a good way to understand all of it

prophecy like this

“I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭7:9-10, 13-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

so revelation is like bekng closer to what Daniel saw for instance

or those “ thousand thousands and ten thousand times ten thousand angels before the throne” that Daniel saw from a distance, if we wanted more detail about what they are doing we can look at revelation which is the same prophecy now being fulfilled in heaven where John is seeing revelation.

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:11-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The reason it says that particular number is to call us to daniels prior prophetic vision which he saw at a distance seven hundred years prior to johns heavenly revelation of this kingdom bekng presented to Jesus after he died and rose and entered heaven

this is when the son of man was brought to His throne in heaven

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We seem to stop believing after Jesus died and rose but John is showing us what’s in heaven where Jesus went we see him leave earth after his death and resurrection and in heaven now this is happening

“And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, ( Jesus has died and risen )

having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. ( and Jesus has sent the holy ghost into the earth for believers )

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭5:5-6, 9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus had now become a man died for sin and rose from death on earth , and then He returned to heaven and was seated as mans intercessor and king in the same kingdom Daniel saw far off , David was promised for his seed the same eternal throne and kingdom Daniel foresaw and John revealed

John is taken into heaven so he sees revelation of what Daniel saw from far away , John knew and met and learned from Jesus saw him die and rise saw him enter heaven and disappear from tbier sight and enter the spiritual realm of creation the eternal One

the Bible builds upon the law and prophets and what they foretell
Everything is drawing us to Jesus and the gospel , to eternity , to live and be born by and walk by and follow after the spiritual eternal things of the kingdom of Jesus Christ

But when Jesus entered heaven glorified and left earth ot doesn’t end there we can follow him into heaven and see a glimpse through John

what happened in heaven when this happened on earth after Jesus preached the truth of life died and rose for us ?

“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

he received his throne at the right hand of God in heaven and will be there until all things opposed to him are brought to repentance or destruction

“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭110:1, 4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:12-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; and having an high priest over the house of God; let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:19-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

there’s another place a better place after we part this one , we can’t yet see with our worldly eyes but we can hear about it in the gospel and believe. It sounds very strange but it is because hardly anyone ever talks about what it really says

I have always thought of the little book as the book of Revelation itself...
That is the most likely interpretation, and we should keep in mind that "book" here means "scroll", since "biblion" = papyrus roll = a small book since it is in the diminutive. However "book" is not incorrect, simply an interpretation, since the books of the Bible were originally written on scrolls.

I have always thought of the little book as the book of Revelation itself, the Prophesy of the end days.
Same here.

This isn't the first time that God told a prophet to eat a scroll or a roll of a book.

Ezekiel chapter 2

[1] And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.
[2] And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.
[3] And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.
[4] For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.
[5] And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
[6] And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.
[7] And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
[8] But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.
[9] And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
[10] And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.

Ezekiel chapter 3

[1] Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel.
[2] So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
[3] And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.

Both Ezekiel's "book" and John's "book" tasted like honey.

Ezekiel's "book" was written therein with lamentations, and mournings, and woes, and John's "book" basically was as well, and I believe that these woes were the source of John's "bitterness" in his belly.

I believe this too.
With my hands I can do two repented heart hand signs.Place them side by side, with my index finger nails touching each other. Now my hands will form the shape of a heart, and in the middle will be a three pointed crown, for the spirit, water and the blood.
I'll place this sign over my heart to complete the sign for more meaning.
By placing it over my heart,I'm placing the crown on the King of Kings because he is sitting on the mercy seat and my body is a living Ark.
The little book is there with the ark.my fingers are in the image of the ten commandments.Even the new covenant is fulfilled.
My hands are liken to the physical Ark of the covenant. They're the two angels on each side of the mercy seat. His Two Witnesses of Revelation.

I think it's probably ...

This "covenant" is the little book...
You're assumption is based solely upon what "you think" and nothing else, there is absolutely NO connection between "the little book" in Rev 10 and Daniel 9v27!

We are not told the contents of this little book, but it has obviously something to do with the close of this age and the “mystery of God," "To musterion tou theou,” “God's plan,” which the angel mentions in Rev 10v7.

There must also be a close connection between the little book and the seven thunders, the details of which John also had to keep secret.

We see in Rev 10v7, why there has been a delay in the coming of Christ, the secret plan of God has had to be fulfilled before Jesus can return.

There must also be a close connection between the little book and the seven thunders, the details of which John also had to keep secret.
I agree there's a connection between the seven thunders and the little book; but they aren't the same thing.

Verse 7 sets the timing before John eats the scroll:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel —when he is about to trumpet—the mystery of God is completed, just as He declared to His servants the prophets.

what is the Mystery of God in relationship to Verses 10-11
10 So I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It was sweet as honey in my mouth; but when I had swallowed it, my stomach was made bitter.
11 And they tell me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.”

Could the little Book be the Book of Psalms? The revelation and opening of the book is knowing the Son's prayers are throughout the Psalms.

Could the sweetness of the little book be the beauty of the prayers in the Psalms? Could the bitterness after eating the little book be the realization that the prayers were not attributed to the Son and Father and Spirit which reveals their conversation? Psalm 2 is one of the best examples of the voice of Father, Son and Spirit in one Psalm. Most Psalms are the Son's prayers. Some are the Spirit talking to or about the Son. Some quote the Father speaking to the Son. Could the bitterness after eating the little book be because the Psalms have not been recognized as the prayers of the Son and Spirit all this time?

If the little book is the Psalms and the fact that the Son's and Spirit's prayers are in the Psalms it leaves the world without excuse for rejecting the truth of Scripture concerning the Son. Religions that do not recognize the Son as Messiah and His sacrifice to save us as revealed in His prayers in the Psalms have missed the truth right in front of them. Both Islam and Judaism recognize the Psalms as Scripture. If they reject that the Son's prayers are revealed in the Psalms which prove that He is the Son of YAH and gave His life to save us as the Psalms prove, then they miss the meaning of the little Book entirely, after all this time.
