All the commandments can be summarized easily as: first Love God with all your mind, heart, and soul and second love everyone else as you love yourself. This love is can only be acquired as a divine gift when we receive the Father's Holy Spirit and when our actions and thoughts are motivated by love, we are obeying the Spirit of the Law as well as the letter of the Law.

Romans 9: 31-32 But Israel, who followed after the Law of Righteousness, hath not attained to the Law of Righteousness. Why? Because they sought it not by faith but, as it were, by the works of the Law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone.

Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Talking about Israel in Rom 10: 3-4 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

Matt 22: 36-40 Master, which is the great commandment in the Law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt lovr the Lord, thy God, with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and prophets.

1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.

John 15: 9-14 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you; continue in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatever I command you.

John 15: 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Gal 5: 13-14 For brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even ( that is) in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Rom 7: 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead in which we were held, that we should serve in newness of spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

Gal 5: 5-6 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.
So actually we still under the law, but not OT law, we under Jesus law, law of love

1 cor 13:13
13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Paul that say salvation by faith not by work, now say charity greater than faith

Hmm, contradict Himself?

Charity = love in action

After I ponder and think it again and again, I think love is the fruit of faith

What is faith in Jesus mean
It mean believe His teaching
What is His teaching

To love.

So If you have faith you believe His teaching and that is to love

I think the reason Paul say charity is greater than faith, because charity is faith in action

Faith without work is death

Charity in Jesus is faith with work

When you are filled with that divine love, you naturally demonstrate it in your thoughts and actions.

"you naturally" I would squabble with my own experiences. I WANT to demonstrate it. Often I just demonstrate that I want something.

on the context of fruit we depend on Jesus

Isaiah 60:19-20
The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Yep, kinda like the North Pole sun that sometimes never sets at all, but the days still track, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.

What are you doing in here, PM-777? Wasn't there anyone in the Not By Works thread to argue with?
BTW, that' NOT what Jesus did.
Why? Because Jesus didn't have the attitude you have.
Jesus also taught if they don't receive you to dust off your feet as a witness against them.
Plus, The Jesus I read of didn't display any arrogance at all.
Jesus said the Jews were "of your father the devil"...and I'm sure His enemies accused Him of "attitude" then just as they accuse today, right?

doing something differently on one day than you normally would on any other day, for specifically religious reasons specifically because it is a certain day, is the very definition of ceremonial ritual.
No it isn't. A ritual involves ACTIVITY not INACTIVITY. You can't redefine the English language to suit your baseless assertions.

tbh i've been going to church on Tuesdays.
not that it matters.

but this is just you making more baseless & slanderous personal attacks instead of addressing what i said.
it's just you being you, IOW.

it would be different if you had ever addressed it, or addressed it a dozen times, as i have - and you're just tired of having to go over the same material over and over with someone who doesn't listen at all.
but that's not actually the case: you've never addressed this.

the moon was created and set as a sign for times long before God finished His work and declared His rest once and for all time.
the new moon festival is not commanded in the law of Moses, at all.
the new moon festival ((month)) is in Isaiah 66:23 in exactly the same way that the seventh ((i.e. 'week')) is.

if you contend that Isaiah 66:23 is evidence that Christians must keep the ceremony of sabbath forever, else God will fail to save them & His promises by faith be found to be lies, then it is equally evidence that you must in your flesh keep the new moon festival. otherwise you are eisegeting, not exegeting.
moreover since the moon was made before God rested, and the new moon festival stands apart from the law - never being commanded in the law or declared a sign for Israel of the old covenant, only being presumed by the psalms and prophets - then the new moon festival has precedence ((having come before)) and has premacy ((the old covenant being supplanted)).

since you take Isaiah 66:23 this way,
why don't you keep the new moon festival?
where are your new moon festival threads?
all i've gotten from you on this question is 'well new moon is ceremonial'
but that's franky a demonstrably stupid argument: religiously changing your behaviour for a certain day is the very definition of ceremonial, and that's exactly what you do with sabbath. that's exactly what sabbath is: ceremonial physical rest of the flesh to represent the true spiritual rest found in God through Christ.
yet contrary to clear doctrine of scripture, you judge everyone over sabbath, and cite Isaiah 66:23.
aren't you being a bit duplicitous?
you should be judging every Saint over the new moon festival too. if you are going to be Satan's advocate in accusing the children of God in a few things, why don't you devote yourself to your private doctrines completely?
you're frankly a bit lukewarm on the topic.
as someone said, "
wert that thou wast hot or cold"
The Mosaic Law of ceremonies and sacrifices was nailed to the Cross and is why we can disregard Passover, circumcision, etc., but the Ten Commandments "stand fast forever and ever" and is why it will always be wrong to kill, steal, blaspheme, and BREAK THE 7TH DAY SABBATH.

We are not under the law
"Blessed are they which do His commandments, that THEY may have a right to the Tree of Life..."

If you think you're going to get into heaven breaking the commandments when Satan was kicked out for doing the same, you better think again.

Ceremonial observation of a day is by the very definition, ceremonial.

Morality is the same every day.
Changing by law one's behavior according to what day it is therefore cannot be called a 'moral' law. It is a ritual.

There's nothing wrong with ceremony, but there's something quite wrong with lacking understanding and refusing knowledge.

Jesus said the Jews were "of your father the devil"...and I'm sure His enemies accused Him of "attitude" then just as they accuse today, right?
Not sure that was attitude as much as proper label. The Talmud is a book that Tests all kinds of things, and that was exactly what their spirit was doing at that moment. Further, we're All Enemies of Jesus until we're saved. Try reading that again, with the knowledge that Jesus was being factual.
John 8 said:
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

13 The Pharisees challenged him, “Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid.”
This is a logical, very COMMON claim even today that is wrongly leveled against prophets. God says to test, not to immediately disbelieve. But they have a point, witnesses are how we tend to decide if something is real. And this isn't a small matter.
John 8 said:
14 Jesus answered, Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going. 15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.

19 Then they asked him, “Where is your father?”
David said
Psalm 34 said:
I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
Those who look to God are radiant. The book of Exodus confirms this, as Moses had to cover his face. Is this a trait we can see? What if we practice it ourselves? Would the Pharisees had been able to confirm this, if they were looking to God themselves?
John 8 said:
You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also. 20 He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts near the place where the offerings were put. Yet no one seized him, because his hour had not yet come.
21 Once more Jesus said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.

22 This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?”

23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he, you will indeed die in your sins.

25 “Who are you?” they asked.

Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” [editor interjection, just a few minutes ago Jesus told them he was The Light of The World] Jesus replied. 26 “I have much to say in judgment of you. But he who sent me is trustworthy, and what I have heard from him I tell the world.

27 They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up[a] the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. 29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” 30 Even as he spoke, many believed in him.

31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

33 They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?”

34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room for my word. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and you are doing what you have heard from your father.[b]”

39 “Abraham is our father,” they answered.

If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would[c] do what Abraham did. 40 As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. 41 You are doing the works of your own father.

“We are not illegitimate children,” they protested. “The only Father we have is God himself.”

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 45 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! 46 Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? 47 Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.

The Talmud encourages Christian persecution and says horrible things about Jesus. If you have an extra copy, I'd love one to put in my bathroom in case the store shelves ever empty out again.

Isaiah 60
Easy-to-Read Version
God Is Coming
60 “Jerusalem, get up and shine!
Your Light is coming!
The Glory of the Lord will shine on you.
2 Darkness now covers the earth,
and the people are in darkness.
But the Lord will shine on you,
and his Glory will appear over you.
3 Then the nations will come to your light.
Kings will come to your bright sunrise.
4 Look around you!
See all the people gathering around.
Those are your sons coming from far away,
and your daughters are there beside them.

5 “At that time you will see your people,
and your faces will shine with happiness.
First, you will be afraid,
but then you will be excited.
All the riches from across the seas will be set before you.
The riches of the nations will come to you.
6 Herds of camels from Midian and Ephah
will cross your land.
Long lines of camels will come from Sheba.
They will bring gold and incense.

People will sing praises to the Lord.
7 People will collect all the sheep from Kedar and give them to you.
They will bring you rams from Nebaioth.
You will offer those animals on my altar,
and I will accept them.
I will make my wonderful Temple
even more beautiful.
8 Look at the people.
They are rushing toward you like clouds quickly crossing the sky.
They are like doves flying to their nests.
9 The faraway lands are waiting for me.
The great cargo ships are ready to sail.

They are ready to bring your children from faraway lands.
They will bring silver and gold with them
to honor the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel.
He has done wonderful things for you.
10 Children from other lands will rebuild your walls.
Their kings will serve you.

“When I was angry, I hurt you,
but now I want to be kind to you.
So I will comfort you.
11 Your gates will always be open.
They will not be closed, day or night.
Nations and kings will bring their wealth to you.
12 Any nation or kingdom that does not serve you
will be destroyed.
13 All the great things of Lebanon will be given to you.
People will bring pine trees, fir trees, and cypress trees to you.
These trees will be used for lumber
to make my Holy Place more beautiful.
This place is like a stool in front of my throne,
and I will honor it.

14 In the past, people hurt you,
but they will bow down before you.
In the past, people hated you,
but they will bow down at your feet.
They will call you ‘The City of the Lord’s,’
‘Zion of the Holy One of Israel.’

15 “People hated you.
You were left all alone with no one passing through.
But I will make you great from now on.
You will be happy forever and ever.
16 Nations will give you what you need,
like a child drinking milk from its mother.
But you will ‘drink’ riches from kings.
Then you will know that it is I, the Lord, who saves you.
You will know that I, the Great God of Jacob, protect you.

17 “You now have copper,
but I will bring you gold.
You now have iron,
but I will bring you silver.
I will change your wood into copper
and your rocks into iron.
I will change your punishment into peace.
And those who punished you will be replaced with those who are kind to you.
18 There will never again be news of violence in your country.
People will never again attack your country and steal from you.
You will name your walls, ‘Salvation’
and your gates, ‘Praise.’

19 “The sun will no longer be your light during the day.
The light from the moon will no longer be your light at night.
The Lord will be your light forever.
Your God will be your glory.

20 Your sun will never go down again.
Your moon will never again be dark.
That’s because the Lord will be your light forever,
and the dark days of mourning will end.

21 “All your people will be good.
They will get the land forever.

They are the young plant in my garden[d]
that will grow to be a wonderful tree.
I made them with my own hands.[e]
22 The smallest family will become a large family group.
The smallest tribe will become a powerful nation.
When the time is right,

I, the Lord, will come quickly.
I will make these things happen.”

Isaiah 61
Easy-to-Read Version
The Lord’s Message of Freedom
61 The Spirit of the Lord God is on me. The Lord has chosen me to tell good news to the poor and to comfort those who are sad. He sent me to tell the captives and prisoners that they have been set free. 2 He sent me to announce that the time has come for the Lord to show his kindness, when our God will also punish evil people. He has sent me to comfort those who are sad, 3 those in Zion who mourn. I will take away the ashes on their head, and I will give them a crown. I will take away their sadness, and I will give them the oil of happiness. I will take away their sorrow, and I will give them celebration clothes. He sent me to name them ‘Good Trees’ and ‘The Lord’s Wonderful Plant.’

4 Then the old cities that were destroyed will be rebuilt. Those ancient ruins will be made new, as they were in the beginning.

5 Then your enemies will come to care for your sheep, and their children will work in your fields and in your gardens. 6 You will be called, ‘The Lord’s Priests,’ ‘The Servants of our God.’ You will be proud of all the riches that have come to you from all the nations on earth.

7 In the past, other people shamed you and said bad things to you. You were shamed much more than any other people. So in your land you will get two times more than other people. You will get the joy that continues forever. 8 That’s because I am the Lord and I love justice. I hate stealing and everything that is wrong. So I will give the people what they deserve. I will make an agreement with my people forever. 9 Their descendants will be known throughout the earth, and everyone will know their children. Whoever sees them will know that the Lord has blessed them.

God’s Servant Brings Salvation
10 The Lord makes me very happy.
I am completely happy with my God.
He dressed me in the clothes of salvation.
He put the victory coat on me.
I look like a man dressed for his wedding,
like a bride covered with jewels.
11 The earth causes plants to grow,
and a garden makes the seeds planted there rise up.
In the same way, the Lord God will make goodness and praise
grow throughout the nations.

quote:

Catechism For Jewish Children
By Isaac Leeser.

Appendix I
The Ceremonial Law
1. What is the Ceremonial Law?

The duties which the law of God as revealed through Moses demands of us, the Israelites, in particular, as the professors of its religion.
2. Upon what is this Law founded?
Upon the history of the Mosaic Religion, and of the people of Israel before and since the promulgation of the Ten Commandments from Sinai.
3. What is the object of the ceremonies?
The constant observance of the ceremonies is intended to remind us perpetually of the events upon which they are founded, and to cause their being handed over to our children after us, to the latest generations.
"Remember his miracles that He hath done, his wonders and the Judgments of his mouth. O ye seed of Israel, his servants; the children of Jacob, his chosen people. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. Remember ye his covenant for ever; the word which He commanded to a thousand generations. Which He covenanted with Abraham, and likewise his oath unto Isaac. And he confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant." Ps. cv. 5-10.
4. Which are the principal events of which the Ceremonial Law is to remind us?
The following three:
First, The Exodus, or removal, of our forefathers from Egypt.
Second, The Divine Revelation, and the promulgation of the Law on Sinai.
Third, The destruction of the temple at Jerusalem, and of the kingdom of Israel.
5. What observances are to remind us of the Exodus?
First, The Sabbath day, regarded as the sign of the covenant of the manifestation of God's power in Egypt.
"And remember that thou were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence, through a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day." Deut. v. 15.
Second, Several others of the festivals.
6. Which are these festivals?
First, The Passover, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Secondly, The Feast of Tabernacles.
7. What is the Passover?
Seven days every year we are commanded to eat unleavened bread, to the exclusion of all ordinary bread, or things made of or mixed with corn, in memory of the mighty wonders wrought in our favor, when we were redeemed from Egypt.
"Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even before the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses.--And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for on this self-same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt; therefore shall ye observe this day, throughout your generations, as an ordinance for ever." Exod. xii. 15, 17.
8. Which of the seven days are, properly speaking, strict festivals, when no work can be done?
The first and the seventh; but also the second is kept as a day of abstinence from labor, likewise an additional, or eighth day; the same is the case with other festivals, at which the Israelites out of Palestine have, for many hundred years, kept an additional day, beyond the period absolutely commanded in the law.
"And on the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done on them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you." Exod. xii. 16.
