What are you doing in here, PM-777? Wasn't there anyone in the Not By Works thread to argue with?
BTW, that' NOT what Jesus did.
Why? Because Jesus didn't have the attitude you have.
Jesus also taught if they don't receive you to dust off your feet as a witness against them.
Plus, The Jesus I read of didn't display any arrogance at all.
You must have skimmed over a lot of his interactions with the Pharisees! Just saying.

Do you know why PM-777 got banned?
Dang

He & Snacks both got a temporary ban a couple of weeks ago because their discussion in NOT BY WORKS devolved into personal insults and they wouldn't cool down.
They were both back this week tho.

I don't know why teleperson was banned this time.
One might guess from recent history that his temper flared up again. On another forum he had been messaging me during his temporary ban with a very bad attitude toward our mods here, and showed no repentance for how he had acted to deserve the temporary ban. so I suspect he was belligerent towards them if they reached out to him again to tone done his rhetoric.

I figure I entered that rest when I received Jesus' death and, since then, my corpse is being dragged to the resurrection, while my spirit lives, of course. IDK, maybe my spirit has to be dragged as well.

The sabbath is nothing more than a day off. It was an unknown concept during Biblical times. Jesus clearly showed that it was not necessary to observe the sabbath as a law.

In what way did Jesus show that it was not necessary?
Jesus kept it and showed how to keep it.

Correct. He went to the synagogue on the Sabbath and healed people. He also showed how David's men ate the forbidden bread in the temple and allowed His disciples to eat grain on the Sabbath.

As I said, Jesus clearly showed that it was not necessary to observe the sabbath as a law, but as it was clearly meant to be: a day off from work.

From my study, the sabbath did get forgotten by Israel at times and so did the other commandments. But God brought them back and in Jesus's day the religious leaders had made the laws a burden not a delight.
It was well known and Jesus helped to show how to keep the Holy.

Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? 16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? 17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

You have made a bold statement. In saying "Jesus clearly showed it was not necessary to observe the sabbath day as a law."

Please show me the verse that shows this.. He never said it was not necessary to keep it. He never changed the law.
Because He did things differently to the religious leaders does not mean those laws are not necessary.

Sabbath was established after the 6th day of creation. God rested on the 7th day which is the Sabbath.
I Agree.
I asked this question because many claim that it began at mount Sinai. Ex 20.
It is clear that God made it Holy before the fall. God sanctified it at creation.

First mention of sabbath in scripture is Exodus 16.
Fact.
