I'm a nice person until...I start picking up the stones and throwing them back. I've found this to be an effective way to get them to stop throwing them.

I wonder if this thread will serve to explain the spate of gun related violence ....?

Apparently Elvis Presley would shoot his tv because he was too lazy or on drugs to GET up and change the channel (or turn it off). This must have been in the days before they had remote controls.

people who are antisocial or who hate other people. I'm not talking about your average delinquent. I'm talking about people who are insufferably narcissistic, toxically self-centered, and who view all human beings as objects to be used and exploited in some way. Outside of those people I can get along with anyone.

It could need to go smaller but it could need to go bigger too. Also depending on how much it's used the grinders could be getting dull. Or maybe a pre-infusion might help.

The la marzocco with the three group heads is as small as you really want to go with those. (Water tank and separate steam tank) Then it needs to be serviced.....and a water line with special filters needs to be run to it. Those machines need at least 208 volts to run. But they make great steam for the milk and never seem to run out of hot water.

In addition to the puck preparation for espresso it's a time/volume thing. That's the goal. You want a specific volume of finished espresso in a specific amount of time for a 17-22 gram dose of ground coffee.

Which is where a true barrista comes into play. He works his machine, the coffee grinders, the puck, the pressure, the water temp and then foaming the milk just right so he can make a pretty picture on the top of the cup.

A GOOD barrista can make $30/hr in a prime location coffee shop. These aren't the button pushing types of barristas Starbucks is spitting out. (The have fully automatic machines too these days).

But one with paddles or snap switches and can make pretty art on the top of the cup.
In SA we only have 220-240V outlets so the voltage wont be a problem... it is to have electricity available that could be a challenge as we are going through a period where they switch of the electricity up to 3 times a day for between 2 to 4 hours. Incompetent leaders and service providers are to blaim....

The power outages are definitely going to be an issue. It takes 30 amps to keep operating . (Rather a large breaker or fuse for a house/office)

Just a set of great water filters to keep out the hard water. (Which yours might be having an issue with if you don't have the oversized water filters on it's water line)

We will have a regular maintenance schedule on ours just for this because not all of the minerals can be filtered out. A few always make it through. A deliming solution put through the tanks and heads. Then drained and cleaned up.

It costs $$$ to have the thing taken apart and deep cleaned....gaskets and seals replaced....Basically completely refurbished. But parts are available for popular machines. Which is why this one was chosen.

tea doesnt require that much work honestly
just have to pick the leaves and dry them

or use them fresh if its herbal and boil water. Im not a coffee nut and dont really understand ppl who are.

I like chocolate though and prefer it over coffee. A starbucks has opened on the corner up the road from where I am but I dont go to them as a rule. Id rather have some actual good FOOD to go with my hot beverage than a dry stale biscotti. ugh

I'd be more concerned about how my date still refers to me in person by my screen name.

I am definitely guilty of this!!!

I call at least half the online people I've met in real life by their usernames. It's just what I know them as. 🤣

Bonus points for those who use part or all of their name in their username -- maybe that will get me in less trouble. 😬

When i was in the chat people on mic would actually take the time to try to pronounce it with the zeros lol.
So you're cool with "muffin" or "snookums"?
