My stance on the vaccine has changed over time. At first I was totally opposed to it for a variety of reasons, mainly because I listened to conspiracy theories, but ultimately I came to conclusion that there’s so much misinformation about the vaccines because it’s heavily politicized still.
So I took a different approach which is a moral approach. We know the vaccines were built off the backs of aborted babies who were actually just murdered. Under that pretense there is a moral dilemma for taking the vaccine, but what I realized is that literally everything in our world was built off of the deaths and sacrifices of others, including our salvation as Christians through Jesus of Nazareth’s glorious sacrifice.
We are far enough removed from the source of the sin that modern vaccines were able to be manufactured from. We go through our day not really thinking about all of the people who died to make almost everything we have possible.
If we were to take into account all of the injustices and travesties and shunned all that resulted from then then we’d have nothing, not even our cursed world that God gave to us as a result of their original sin.
So if we participate in this world with the knowledge that people died to create it for us, and we’ll die before we pass it on to future generations, then accepting a vaccine shouldn’t really be a moral dilemma after all.
Paul essentially said that if you want to get away from sin and sinners then you need to get out of the world. In other words, we need to flee planet Earth and that just isn’t possible until we shuffle off this mortal coil.
1 Corinthians 5:9-11
9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters;
for then must ye needs go out of the world. 11But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
