Is your ex a Christian? A lot of nonreligious people don't see anything wrong with porn and they use porn in their marriage. Some people don't get it.
My ex thinks he is. But his actions show differently. He knows it's wrong, he just needs a deliverance from it. But you have to want to change also. I don't really stay in contact with him.

I must say that your lack of understanding provides a great amount of amusement on my part.

PHAT Bottom Girls?
Ever hear the song?
I heard the song on Glee. Probably only heard it two or three times. I remember it being hilarious. Trace Adkins has a similar song. I also found it hilarious.

Its just being childish maybe.
No, it's called being disrespectful to your wife, and it's disgusting.

some boys never grow up
True, and these "boys" should never get married, let alone be fathers. Yet our society, especially within the church culture, makes both mandatory.

But almost 12 years of dealing with someone who does not want to change I was done.
This gets at the heart of most divorces. Young women are conned into thinking that they will be able to change their fiances after they marry them. Of course, you now know that will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever happen. Not in million years.

I hope you will be the first woman in human history that will convey this idea to younger women. I can only hold out hope.

Many conservative Churches pressure young ladies into grabbing the first thing that comes along. They imply that if a woman has not married, then she has not fulfilled her role in life. :( That is not what the Bible says.

1 Corinthians
7:8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.
7:32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
7:33 But he that is married careth for the things that are of the world, how he may please [his] wife.
7:34 There is difference [also] between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please [her] husband.

Hello to everyone here!
What do you think, is there a chance to find a partner in age of 42? I am a little bit shy probably, no cigars, almost no alcohol at all. Work as a technician, have some education behind me. Just a regular and romantic soul. Thank you
It’s possible. I’m 48 and a lifelong bachelor. Honestly at this point I’m kinda liking it. I’ve had the opportunity to do things as a single man that marriage would have made nearly impossible to do.

I got my bachelors degree early, like in my twenties lol

But you could earn it in your 40s if you desire. I remember a colleague decided he wanted to earn his degree in his 40s so he did a Bachelors in Arts, majoring in philosophy.

If you want a partner you do a law degree and then work all hours to make partner.

Law never appealed to me though. I had one school girl say to me she wanted to be a lawyer, so she could make a heap of money. Not because she liked law or anything.

why oh why

too many cinderella stories. Growing up the marriage EVERYONE talked about was Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Ten year age gap that one (she was 19, he was 30?) and it didnt end well.
Though she wasnt poor by any stretch of the imagination, the age gap was probably insumountable. Say what you will about King Charles second wife, but at least they are similar age.

I remarried October last year. I'm 71, my wife 70. I was divorced in 1996. I never expected to remarry. So there is hope for anyone.

I am now wondering, in churches isnt it the pastors responsibility to matchmake his members as he might be the one marrying them?

Now it makes me wonder what the pupose of church is. Isnt it to worship the Lord and be in fellowship or do many christians just treat it as a matchmaking centre hoping they will meet someone there and marry them and have a church wedding?

?! How could I not see that.

I thought if you wanted to marry, you just told the pastor of whatver church you are attending 'hey Im single can you hook me up with one of your available christian ladies/men but make it seem like we just met by Godinicidence? I have to be respectable you know'

Slippin' him a little moo-la under the pulpit might get you your preference.
