Well, I don't know any males who find it romantic to speak sentences that are full of hidden meanings. I mean every male I have ever known has always said that they would be much happier if the females would just come out and say what they want to say/say what they mean instead of "beating around the bush".
It's really a sick female game, and then females wonder why males belittle them and make "woman jokes" all the time

I dont think words of affirmation are what women crave when its really Jesus being the WORD that counts.
Flattery becomes totally insincere when its done too much and as a means to an end.

The data does not suggest that at all nor does human behavior. The case is quite opposite. The rise and popularity of sites like Instagram. Selfies, posting these selfies to whatever social media platform. Studies on online dating with 40% percent of women in one saying they only do online dating for the validation the affirmation of their attractiveness. Throw in like buttons and sayin things for likes. The fact is women do like attention and they do like to be validated and affirmed. Which I don't think anyone would dispute that as common knowledge and factual. Women like attention and like to be validated. I find nothing wrong with it and even feel that is tantamount in a healthy relationship for a man to do so for his woman. To which I believe date nights, romantic gestures, and alone time, get aways are a good vehicle to show a woman she is special and means everything to you.

So your statement is silly that women do not crave affirmation. Women want and do crave affirmation, validation, and attention. Which is nothing wrong with that if it is from one man they love rather than scores of unknown men, seeking likes and words of compliments trading dignity for a momentary high of a stranger affirming them.

I'm not sure if this is in response to my most recent post here or what many others have posted. In case it's the former, I'm happy to let you know that I am perfectly happy to have the conversation I'm having and if I have anything direct or private to say, I will private message who ever it concerns, like I have done many times here in this forum already. This is meant for the benefit of those who find this conversation interesting and as you can see others join in from time to time and that is the key aim.

Did I quote you above, or say it was to you?
Why be so defensive and jumpy?
Your thread topic is about being romantic, my response was (as I stated) that there are certain things men don't find romantic.

Oh, I find the 5 love languages "interesting" alright.

as you can see others join in from time to time and that is the key aim.
Well, I guess I'm not considered part of "others", seeing as how I "joined in" and was indirectly told off.

Oh well, can't say I'm surprised.

As we (myself and Seoul) rightly predicted, you're one in the wild, who has to go get what you need or want and not one in captivity (like the ones in the zoo or wildlife park) that would have to wait for what they need or want to be brought to them. So I'm thinking it's too bad for you and not me because you simply can not get what you want without moving out of your comfort zone. Hope it all makes sense to you now.
Doesn't make sense, and I think we're taking this whole Gojira thing a tad too far

This is quite true. Thank you for being a woman who gets this.

As far as I'm concerned, you hit the proverbial nail right on the head with the example that you gave.

Far from finding that "romantic", I find it repulsive.

I agree about the comfort zone. You can see the discomfort on CC with certain people that are so set in their ways, their situation stays the same.

Thanks for stepping in, as always, to address a situation that was seemingly a fun conversation, ike many others here in this forum that weren't that different. I guess it's time for me to just move on and leave all of this behind me. Personal attacks and insults are currencies that I simply do not believe in.

hey Jackieboy I dont think aka dorthys initial message was directed at you. I read it as men would appreciate if women would get straight to the point. Instead of "Im fine!" Women because they are adults could say " Im upset now because I wanted to spend time with you" or ya know whatever. So no worries, your thread is fine, please continue.

Whoa.

Well, all I can say is, too bad you don't live near Phoenix.
For a reptile with a pea brain, you sure are quick-witted. Yes, I am willing to share some but first you have to tell me if you are the free type reptile or one in captivity???
I have no idea what any of this means, but let's just say that the Pacific Ocean is mine.
Gojira definitely doesn't seem like the type who could be caged. 😁🦖

I'm not sure what happened.

I just saw this banter about Gojira saying it was too bad Jackie didn't live near Phoenix, then Jacking asking Gojira if he is more a free reptil or one in captivity (like in a zoo or wildlife preserve, I assumed,) and Gojira said the Pacific Ocean is his.

So I just made the meant-to-be-joking comment that (if he owns the entire Pacific Ocean,) he must surely be the type of reptile who would want to go free rather than ever be held in captivity.

That's all I meant.

It was supposed to be a joke. I like to joke that I wouldn't do well in a cage either because I'm too stubborn and difficult (just ask my mother.)

But apparently the joke didn't land, and so to avoid further confusion, I too will bow out of this convo for the time being.

You know what SS just reading it back the comments side by side in your post, it looks playful almost flirtatious which made me smile :) If I were them Id be sending a private message right now.

Not when she tells you that you're wild and therefore cannot find what you want. Or something. "So I'm thinking it's too bad for you and not me because you simply can not get what you want without moving out of your comfort zone." This didn't make a lot of sense. But, if there was any flirting going on, it was solely on my end -- which is why I agreed with Dorothy's comments.

Movin' along... :) it's a big ocean out there (not to take the Godzilla thing too far :D)

Its hard to read tone on print. And you guys dont make it easy either. Women dont want to be romantic with guys who take on animal personas. Is it really being yourself?
I mean a bit of give and take people! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️

That's what I thought too. I have too much going on in my life right now to let people here upset me to the point where I am unable to function or interact with the pleasant, kind and decent people here, who have been so gracious to me. I will miss many of you here. There's a lot that has been going on that I did not bring to the open forum and God willing, I'll be back! Got a few messages to send before I sign off. I love you all (the ones who have made my time here enjoyable and pleasant). As they say the world is a global village, so we never know when we will run into someone who made an impact in the past. I am sincerely grateful for the short time I had here. I am actually smiling as I think of some of the conversations, posts and discussions. I will miss all of that but I truly feel in my spirit that it is time to go. I love, love, love, love you.................................................beautiful souls!

Me too, NP.

I had just read it as adorable, playful bantering that just might have been flirtatious.

And I may or may not have been trying to prod that along.

Trying to nudge people who seem to be great at joking or discussing things with one another a little bit closer is one of my favorite things to do here.

But alas. Le sigh.

I must move on to my next set of victims, er, I mean, posters with potential love or friendship exchanges. :geek:
