Me too, NP.

I had just read it as adorable, playful bantering that just might have been flirtatious.

And I may or may not have been trying to prod that along.

Trying to nudge people who seem to be great at joking or discussing things with one another a little bit closer is one of my favorite things to do here.

But alas. Le sigh.

I must move on to my next set of victims, er, I mean, posters with potential love or friendship exchanges. :geek:

Its hard to read tone on print. And you guys dont make it easy either. Women dont want to be romantic with guys who take on animal personas. Is it really being yourself?
I mean a bit of give and take people! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♀️
If I saw this as a dating site, I'd have a much different avatar. As it stands, I never came here expecting to make real-world friends. Besides, if she was flirting (which she wasn't), obviously you're wrong.

I guess it's time for me to just move on and leave all of this behind me. Personal attacks and insults are currencies that I simply do not believe in.
There's a lot that has been going on that I did not bring to the open forum
no one in any way shape or form attacked you here (in this thread)

We all have things going on in real life that we don't bring up in the open forums, so I'm sure most people can understand in one way or another (if only they are aware of things.)

Best wishes, whatever you choose to do.

There is definitely some confusion here.
Which is why it's often best to just seek to communicate with people here privately or on a one on one basis. I mean, it's hard enough to understand each other in a one on one exchange, and that much harder when others are chiming in with their opinions as well.

For me, I just read this thread for the first time today, and I had to hit "show ignored content" at the bottom of every page because I have at least a few people in this conversation on "ignore" at the moment. I'm only mentioning this in case anybody here mistakenly believes that anything that I've said here was directed towards anybody else than the actual party that I quoted. Again, I didn't even know what certain people said here until just a few minutes ago.

Anyhow, just my two cents worth.

It most certainly is, and this is one major reason why I hate communicating with people solely via written text.

I obviously cannot speak for anybody else but myself, but I initially had a photo of myself as my avatar, and I ultimately changed it precisely to avoid too much contact with women here.

In other words, although I've honestly said that I've only ever been average-looking at best, when I had my actual photo as my avatar, I was getting all sorts of crazy PM's from women here. The most outlandish was a young woman who tried to get me to engage in mutual masturbation with her as we spoke dirty to each other. After trying to reason with her from scripture, I ultimately reported her, and she got banned. Then there was the married woman who basically told me that she wanted me to father her child or to impregnate her. There have been others as well.

Anyhow, my point is that people here do things for specific reasons which other members here know nothing about, so it's always best to just ask each other questions rather than to possibly wrongly assume something about somebody else.

I'm directing my comments to everybody here...MYSELF INCLUDED...so I'm not singling you out. Instead, I'm just using your comment as a sort of springboard to say something that I felt might be beneficial to all of us moving forward.

Well, I'm not looking to generate that type of "appeal" here or elsewhere. If I was only interested in something sexual, then I wouldn't be alone at the moment. Go figure.

No silly willy, all I'm saying is that there's a good to take from that: women find you outwardly appealing, and that doesn't hurt your chances.

Change that to "desperate women", and I'll shout out "A-MEN!!!"

lol.

Anyhow, I'm really looking for someone who likes me for my personality, but that never works out online where everything is so easily misconstrued. My best bet is meeting someone in person.

That said, I'm actually up to 5 different dating sites at the moment. Some of these women make me laugh.

I started a conversation with one woman a couple of days ago because she described herself as a "great conversationalist" who loves open and deep conversations. Well, you know me...that's right up my alley, so I started chatting with her. After about 7 or 8 comments back and forth a piece, I gave up. Why? Well, her typical responses were one or two words. You know, like "yeppers" and "oh, okay".

"Great conversationalist" my furry bear behind...lol.

Even better: "I'm fluent in sarcasm, lol."

"Really? That's GREAT!"

"I was joking..."

"You don't know what 'fluent' means, do you? I WAS BEING SARCASTIC!"

I'm pretty sure that I told you this when our paths first crossed here (probably when I was "Live4Him" or "Live4Him2"), but there are a lot of seeming similarities in our lives. Despite that one dispute that we had which we've since ironed out, I've always thought that you were one of the good ones, and I've been secretly pulling for you to meet someone for quite some time now. If/when you cross paths with her, she'll be fortunate to find a guy like you. Well, except for your affiliation with a certain NFL team...lol.

But that's what a good woman would do... be there to comfort me in my pain. See how it all works out?

I've encountered soooo much lameness on those sites. After a while, the profiles sound the same... Interests included dancing, fine dining, quiet evenings at home... living life to the fullest.. What exactly does that mean anyway?!? What are you doing... climbing Mount Everest and jumping off the peak in a parasail, landing into a jungle safari?

These people are walking clichés. Very little depth or uniqueness, which might explain at least one of the reasons some of us are single. We're seeking greater depth, and greater depth is rarely available and mutually interested.
