LET'S TALK ABOUT OUR BELIEFS

I would say that God is love. This is what I feel in my heart. This is confirmed in 1John.

My knowledge of the Lord began with the fear of the Lord. By this, I mean respect and not fear. From there, my understanding about God was knowing that He is love.

God always was and always will be and everything created obeys Him as to what He wants to do.

God is three separate entities, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit that comprise one God.

Jesus, under the authority of the Father, died for our sins so that we may have eternal life with God. The Holy Spirit comforts and guides us in the life-long repentance process.

God wants us to have life and have it more abundantly.

The Father has prepared work beforehand for me to accomplish by His grace. My purpose on earth is to humbly serve the Lord. It is my mission, first, last, always.

Just a quick note, being a believer in the Messiah by itself does not make one a Christian. E.g. Moslems also believe that Jesus is the Messiah and await the Second Coming.

1) God is the presence depicted in the Christian Bible. The Godhead is a Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed are a brief synopsis of who the Christian God is.

2) I'm here to learn, and I find a kind of joy finding other Christians to discuss things with even if we don't agree on all points.

4) This questions can mean many things. What do you mean by it? I believe people will act according to their natures, and that we will see people's natures by their fruit. Are you asking whom I place trust in? I trust in that which is done from the heart. I trust in the goodness that shines through people into the world.

5) No. And as an aspect of authetic pride, unless someone is depressed or full of self-doubt, I don't think anyone would answer "yes" to this question. If someone were talking about past beliefs, that might be a different question because the past self can be seen as an external person. But like Paul reflecting on his time as Saul, were those trying times really without reason? or did they build his understanding into what it needed to be? So that he was able to speak from personal experience rather than secondary anecdote.

6) I have faith that the substance of my belief is correct even if the form is wrong. Life finds a way through love. Without Love there is no life. The question we should be asking isn't whether the procedure of our beliefs conform to a compelling understanding, but whether the substance of love within those beliefs is shining through. We are all dead without that love in our hearts. God is love

Really? An outsider came here and posted questions about Christianity that had nothing to with the Lord, and many posters jumped all over to respond to him.

By the way, all you have to do is concentrate on one question. I never said that all questions had to be answered. 😁

Questions come with different intents. Some not so good.

Two common types seen on this site are:
Questions, or a series of questions, where the OP is secretly trying to make a point. They word things in certain ways to try to trap people. They never want to answer their own questions because it would reveal their motives.

The other is questions, or a series of questions, where the OP places their own knowledge or walk as being above others. They, too, withhold answering their own questions, though they are more prone to answer After others already have. It's their starting point for correcting everyone.

Your questions were formatted after these, hence making users doubtful of your motives. And, as it turns out, you were waiting for people to give certain answers so you could correct them.
To me this seems manipulative, and thus not from a good motive.

Have you ever questioned your beliefs and why they matter? As a believer in the Messiah, I would like to ask you a few questions and see for yourself if you can answer them honestly. The purpose of this thread is to see if your beliefs (and mine) matter for practical living and beyond.

1) Who is God? Please define who your God is in a few words.
2) Why are you here?
3) What is the purpose of your life?
4) Who do you believe and why?
5) Are you disappointed with your beliefs? Why? Why not?
6) Are you confident that your beliefs will carry you beyond this life? How so?

Please use your own words. NO SCRIPTURES ARE NECESSARY.

To me, God is a being that I can never fully describe beyond the spiritual. I say this because I believe he is the spirit behind every situation, happening or occurrence that I can’t explain objectively. This is why I trust him as my guardian, even though I don’t interact with him physically.

I am assuming you mean, in this world. I am here because this is the chosen time that God needed everything about me (my personality, intellect, appearance etc.) to be used for specific purposes designed by him.

The purpose of my life can only be described as a state of existence to fulfil a role that is special or unique to me. A correlation between my natural and supernatural self that thinks, perceives and act in a certain way, regarding instances or circumstances at any given time.

No I am not disappointed with my beliefs but from time to time, certain issues will cause me to experience conflicting views of my faith and my logical thinking.

I’m afraid I can only speak confidently about the here and now. Anything beyond my present time of existence is naturally uncertain. Not only is that plausible (in my opinion) but it is for me, my reality.

Would you be willing to describe what that role is?

I can not say for certain what my God-given role is because only my creator would know just what that is, like in the case of Judas, who betrayed our lord and savior to make the crucifixion possible. So it is possible that he (Judas) may have played several other roles but this was specific for the purpose of aiding the death and ressurection of Jesus Christ. I don't think I'll ever know what that role is or when and how it will play out. I am just content to know that no matter how long I live, as a child of God I will be used by him in a specific role, even if infinitesimal, for the advancement of his kingdom. I hope this make sense, somewhat.

1) Who is God? Please define who your God is in a few words: God is the part of me that is spirit. God spirited into Adam in the beginning,
and when we accept Him we accept that spirit into ourselves.

2) Why are you here? I am here because God created me.

3) What is the purpose of your life? My purpose is to do good and to show others the love and mercy that God has shown me, through
the changes made in my life, and the way I love and show mercy to others.

4) Who do you believe and why? Who do I believe? No idea what that means. My beliefs come from my own studying and understanding.
I am sure I have learned from many, but I don't agree with anyone 100%, and to me that is okay. If I agree with someone all the time on every thing, life would get boring with that person.

5) Are you disappointed with your beliefs? Why? Why not? Nope not one little bit, because they are my choices, and I can choose differently at any time (freewill, baby).

6) Are you confident that your beliefs will carry you beyond this life? How so? I am quite confident my beliefs will carry me beyond this life. I am a soul in a temporary body, not a body with a temporary soul.
