In the Christian Denominations there is so much variance in belief especially when we all use Bibles that are similar. In my wanderings, Judaism and Islam seem the same way, with so much difference in their beliefs. Thinking about all Nations and Kindreds worshiping before God. I wonder how he will sort it all out?

Yep people are a mess. Christians have differing views on different subjects.

Yet we are one in believing the essentials. The ABC's.

This is important because many sects etc call themselves Christian yet, it is plain that they are not. Ie, Mormons, Jehovah witness etc.

If you are looking for the perfect human who is not messy set your gaze upon Jesus. Church is messy because its full of messy and broken people..but these are being renewed day by day.

They have an eternal hope.. That one day when Jesus returns again, all will be made anew. No more messiness, confusion, pain, tears, evil and sin.

The question for you Katia is, where is your hope placed and in whom. May you find your rest in our Lord and saviour.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:23.

It is very simple.

We will be sorted according to what we have done with Jesus.

John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

I believe God is still sending prophets to try to help sort it all out, but actually it’s quite difficult. A prophet probably isn’t going to say things that are what most people want to hear. The prophet would maybe be telling church people how to correct their error and 9 times out of 10 the prophet will be rejected by the vast majority of evangelicals.

Why is this the case? It’s all part of the unregenerate human condition that doesn’t exactly fit well into what the church of Christ requires.

Christ needs people who are teachable, humble, not proud or arrogant, not self-seeking, or dishonest. How many people in church are like this or do most seem to be the exact opposite of this?

Katia,

Human nature is so diverse, isn't it? We all look different, think differently and behave slightly different. I think this has the potential to bring about conflict, however it speaks to me of the infinite creativity of God. His design has many elements of commonality while providing individual characteristics. There's got to be some spiritual lesson here that requires some searching in His Word. I think that's where we need to focus. I realized a long time ago that the Bible is the place where every minister is supposed to find the Truth for faith and practice. Even though there are many various beliefs, we should strive to believe what the Lord has written for us rather than the dictates of man. Dictators are tyrants, but God provides truth and free will of individuals. We all will never agree on everything with everyone, but neither should we. Virtue is not based upon agreement and unity of the masses. It is based upon agreement and following God with a pure heart. Since we all failed in that area, we need His forgiveness. This is salvation and where unity with the Savior begins.

God looks at the heart of people, not at their intellectual beliefs. God judges intention and motives (Hebrews 4:12). God also judges what people do, not just what they say (Romans 2:6).

Above all, God judges justly.

As far as the Church is concerned, God intends that we come to a place of unity. That means that we are not there at first. We have unity in spirit, but not in faith, hence the different beliefs:
Ephesians 4:
11And it was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12to equip the saints for works of ministry and to build up the body of Christ, 13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, as we mature to the full measure of the stature of Christ.

Our "Bibles" aren't as "similar" as you may presently think they are.

In fact, one of the major problems in professing "Christianity" is different Bible (per-) versions which say things that are contrary to the actual truth.

I see it differently, when Jesus fed the 5, 000 men [+wimmin and kids = 20, 000 +] He had them sit down in companies of 50. I think that is how God likes it, everyone can find a family. God wants us in a family.

Born again folks have a common bond which we identify and respect, even if we squabble.

I'm a bit odd, I will admit. I see one GOD and Jesus and the Holy Spirit as separate but not worth a disagreement over. The Mormons have been sweet and kind to me but seem to place the Book of Mormon over the Bible. Some Mormons I have met know their BOM very well but they have not studied the Bible. That is not acceptable to me. They see their church President as a Prophet. The so called Christian churches I have been in practice some things that are objectionable to me. I leave that to them.

My hope is in God. The idea that Jesus came to die for our sins did not come around until, I think the seventh Century, If you study the formational years from Christ's birth until about the 8th Century you can see where all this confused Doctrine came from. When Jesus returns I will obey him.

Hmmm Shia Muslims believe that God (Allah) is sending prophets and Jesus (Isa) will one day join them. Not trying to make Muslim converts, just stating their beliefs. The Mormons see their President as a Prophet also.

I'm not an expert but for my own sanity I use only the KJV (Original). Not saying it is perfect, but one version confuses me less.

I don't recall seeing those stipulations in the Bible "I see it differently, when Jesus fed the 5, 000" men [+wimmin and kids = 20, 000 +] He had them sit down in companies of 50. I think that is how God likes it, everyone can find a family. God wants us in a family.

When you say they believe that Jesus will join them, do you mean they believe Jesus will join the prophets or that Jesus will join Islam?

The Mornin church calls their president a prophet. I guess under their religion only the president can be a prophet and no one else.

The idea that Jesus came to die for our sins did not come around until, I think the seventh Century
"Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’?
No, it is for this purpose that I have come to this hour."
<= Jesus' words facing His
coming crucifixion, in
John 12:27. You are terribly confused, or perhaps you come
here to deliberately spread misinformation. Given your love of Islam I would not
be surprised if it was the latter.

It is just the Shia's beliefs. I think in the end they think all religions will be gone and we will all worship one God. Islam will be gone then also. The various denominations are false.

The Mormons are pretty exclusivismistic

The Bible is not a book of confusion ma'am.
It's the most documented ancient collection of historical fact in history. Did you know that there are over 5,000 records of the new testament that support our KJ Bible?
Thousands of disciples of Christ, THE only begotten Son of God were available as eye witnesses to His Resurrection.
His blood sacrifice for our sins goes clear back to the beginning when God slaughtered an animal to show what would eventually be required by His Son for our sins. Able, their child, brought an acceptable sacrifice of a lamb from his flock. Jesus was again later pictured as an innocent Lamb "Who taketh away the sins of the world."

Forget the sweet Mormons. Cats and dogs will drink sweet tasty antifreeze. They didn't normally make it to our animal hospital alive.
I've known many friendly folks from many religious backgrounds. A person's sweet attitude isn't a way to discern truth . They have a hard way that doesn't guarantee you heaven. I've asked their elders and read their book. They contradict the Bible in many places and have a different Jesus.
The Bible way is the only way through Jesus the Son to God the Father.

"I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me."

Huh that’s interesting. Shia Islam thinks all religions will be gone in the end, including themselves. I’ve researched Islam a bit, but most of it has a pro-Islam bias with a lean toward persuading the reader to join.

Do you know anything about Islamic eschatology and their view of the end times?
