But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law Gal 4:4.

What is the importance and significance, of Jesus being born under the law?

In other words why did Jesus need to be born under the law and why is his life lived under the law good news for us?

He could not be born under the New Way because He was the New Way. He came in under the Law to fulfill the Law.

As for us, we are also born under the Law until we ask Jesus to deliver us from it. Sinners who reject the New Way will be judged by the Law that we were all born under.

Because He won the victory over the sin and death imputed by the Law and made that victory available to whosoever will follow Him.

Revelation 3:21
“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

God's laws which are 613 were perfect -----but God's Human Creation became infiltrated with corruptible seed --through the male sperm of Adam ------Adan was a type of Christ --he was anointed by God to be the commander of this earth ---and then committed Treason against God -----

All of God's Human Creation were then unable to keep God's perfect laws ------and God made it so that if you broke one law --you broke them all -----so no Humankind could keep His Perfect Laws Perfectly ----

The Old Testament is all about the prophecy of the Coming Messiah who will then fulfil all of God's perfect laws because He will be Born of A Women without her union with a man who carries the corruptible seed -----He will be born of a woman with God's Holy Seed planted by the Holy Spirit ---

So The Messiah had to be born under the old Testament Laws so that these Laws which were under a Covenant could be fulfilled so they could be ushered out and a New and Better Covenant could be brought in -----

All Prophecies have to be fulfilled so that God's Plan can be continued to work out till the end of this world as we know it ----read all here ----Revelation is a prophecy book that is in the future -----

,
why did Jesus need to be born under the law?

Jesus' heritage may not be all that important to Gentiles, but it's very
important to Jews because no man can take David's throne lest they first of
all be his biological heir; no exceptions. (Jer 23:5, Ps 89:3-4, Ps 89:35-36,
Ps 132:11, Acts 2:30, cf. Isa 11:1 and Mic 5:2)

That's certainly one aspect of him being born to Jewish parent were the lineage goes back to David. The Messiah is that King that was prophesied.

Althou He was less than God being human for a time, He became one of us in order to experience every temptation known to the flesh in order to be a judge of mankind. He knew anyway, but for the sake of us, He did this. It is jsut part of His uffering , again just for us. Praise Him, He is worthy, amen.

1. Jesus was raised & taught the Law by His mom & stepdad. Born under the Law, raised by the Law.
In other words why did Jesus need to be born under the law and why is his life lived under the law good news for us?
Jesus had to live under the Law properly to perfectly fulfill it, proving His Messiahship, to be the Lamb of God to take away the sins of those who believe on Him.

Jesus Christ, was not only born under the Law but was proven by the Law. He was not only guiltless in His actions but was/is sinless perfection in His character. Therefore, a Just Man would die for unjust men and only a just man could satisfy the requirements of the Law. Only a just man, could lay down His life as legal payment for others.

In order to be the Sacrifice, acceptable unto God, He had to fulfill the Law perfectly and be proven to be without "spot" or "blemish". Any flaw, of any kind, would disqualify His sacrifice. One single flaw, one single stray thought, one single lean towards temptation, would be exposed by the Law and He would not have been acceptable to God as an eternal sacrifice.

He died under the Law. God's wrath was poured out on Him, who stood in the sinners place. All of the Father's condemnation, required by His Law and Holy Nature, smashed down upon Christ. The Father's wrath and anger, spent upon Him who knew no sin. Justice, under the Law, having been satisfied, could now be imputed to the accounts of those Jesus carried to the cross.

So in conclusion - Jesus was born under the Law, to fulfill the Law, be proven by the Law and satisfy It's legal requirements - so that some could be set free.

have you ever noticed Jesus life before this day isn’t really a subject matter in scriptire ?

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we learn of Jesus birth of course but then mostly we see Jesus again when John began baptizing the people. Jesus comes and gets baptized by John and the Holy Spirit is put on him and Gods voice announces “ this is my son “

at this point this happens

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying,

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

it’s at this point the New Testament is beginning to be spoken forth by God himself. And at the point Jesus receives the Holy Ghost Jesus is not under any law he is himself giving his law

he was born of Israel which is all
Under law , when he was baptized it was where the Old Testament ceases its authority because now the authority is made flesh and walking among men and speaking his word to them the New Testament begins when Jesus begins to be set forth forever according to what Jesus preached in the gospel.

jesus was born and lived sinless under the law Until his baptism at that point he’s the law giver at that point he’s teaching something far better than the law carved in stone for Israel

there’s a transition that happens when Jesus is baptized there’s a shift from Moses the old mediators word to this eternal word

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:35‬ ‭

If Jesus was born in the flesh then he’s born under the law all flesh is subject to it but the spirit is not subject to Moses law the spirit is born of Christ and the gospel and is not under law

“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:3, 5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

because of flesh he was born under law but because of the spirit he overcame the flesh which is subject to The law

this is applicable To us

“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If we are led by this testament word

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63‬ ‭KJV‬‬

then we aren’t under Moses word which is commanding the corrupt flesh not to sin that doesn’t work because of this

See there’s a change that has to happen

“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ;

that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit,

and not in the oldness of the letter.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have to let go of Moses testament being our law and accept that Jesus gospel is our law it’s not written on stones but on our hearts because as we hear we believe.

when we accept the gospel we are having the blinders of Moses law pertaining to corrupt flesh removed and seeing God for who he is and what he says

“and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Looking at God through Moses law is to not really see him because of the accusation the law makes against every sin we have ever committed

to accept Jesus Christ and the gospel is to accept God and his eternal word.

anyone born of flesh in Israel was under Moses law so Jesus was certainly born under the law , if you notice there’s an end to the law and it’s found right where the gospel begins and ends

I think I know what you mean, though have to disagree with the Old Testament/Covenant
ceasing its authority, and the New Testament/Covenant beginning, for that could not happen
until Jesus was crucified, shedding His righteous blood. This is laid out/explained by Paul in Hebrews 9 :)

Jesus of Nazareth would be the only Man who obeyed the Law of Moses perfectly, then fulfilled major portions of that Law. He elevated the Law to its proper spiritual level, and then ensured that it would be replaced with the New Covenant.

Sadly - our modern world, does no justice to the Greek word: πειράζω (peirazō). It does not carry the meaning of our English word: Tempt or Temptation. So I can save some time typing - I give you these - which I am in full agreement with.

From Thayer's Dictionary - πειράζω: To Test (The Objective meaning of the word). Used also to mean: To endeavor to - scrutinize, entice, examine, prove, tempt.

Comments by John Gill Heb. 4:15 -

But was in all points tempted like as we are - “Tried” as we are; see the notes at Heb_2:18. He was subjected to all the kinds of trial to which we can be, and he is, therefore, able to sympathize with us and to aid us. He was tested - in the literal sense; he was persecuted; he was poor; he was despised; he suffered physical pain; he endured the sorrows of a lingering and most cruel death.

Yet without sin - 1Pe_2:22. “Who did no sin;” Isa_53:9, “He had done no violence, neither was there any deceit in his mouth;” Heb_7:26, “Who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners.” The importance of this fact - that the Great High Priest of the Christian profession was “without sin,” the apostle illustrates at length in Heb. 7–9. He here merely alludes to it, and says that one who was “without sin” was able to assist those who were sinners, and who put their trust in him.

Notes on Heb. 2:18

For in that he himself ... - “Because” he has suffered, he is able to sympathize with sufferers.

Being tempted - Or, being “tried.” The Greek word used here is more general in its meaning than the English word “tempted.” It means to “put to the proof;” to try the nature or character of; and this may be done either:

(1) By subjecting a person to “afflictions” or “sufferings” that his true character may be tried - that it may be seen whether he has sincere piety and love to God; or.
(2) By allowing one to fall into "various trials", properly so called - where some strong inducement to evil is presented to the mind, and where it becomes thus a “trial” of virtue.

The Saviour was subjected to both these in as severe a form as was ever presented to people. His sufferings surpassed all others; and the trials of Satan (see Matt. 4) were presented in the most alluring form in which he could exhibit them. Being “proved” or “tried” in both these respects, he showed that he had a strength of virtue which could bear all that could ever occur to seduce him from attachment to God; and at the same time to make him a perfect model for those who should be tried in the same manner.

yeah I agree what I’m saying is Jesus had to speak it first and then when he died his word was the word until Jesus finished preaching the gospel the law remained because Jesus hadn’t finished speaking Gods word when he did finish he said this just before he would suffer and die

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:3-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What work was he sent to do ?

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Once he spoke the gospel then this happened

“And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I hope that clears up what I was saying Jesus had to first preach the truth the gospel of the kingdom and then he had to shed the blood of the covenant he had just given to mankind

when he died that’s when his word became the everlasting covenant according to his blood just as Moses words were according to animal

there is always a word from God that reigns over life Moses word lasted until Jesus finished speaking his word and she’s his blood on the cross

that moment is when Moses law ends for a believer through baptism into his death

“Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s the moment the words authority changes but what I’m saying is Jesus had to first complete preaching the New Testament before he died and then when he died his word became eternal and Moses words we left behind

“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The testsment has to be spoken by shod first and then the blood of remission has to be shed according to this word like when Moses wrote all the law down in a book and then anfterwares he did this ( this is a figure of the gospel )

“For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, ( first moses told them all the law )

he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people, saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these;

but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:19-20, 22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses law is a pattern of the gospel in every way it’s like a veiled shadow we can learn a lot from seeing how it was given and how it works because it’s a letter to understand the gospel

Jesus is the authority when he was baptized and received the spirit he no longer was under law he has become the law giver at this point when he began preaching it’s this bekng fulfilled

Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gid would come and give his law and judgements from his mouth Jesus had to preach the gospel d then die for us to be relieved but the moment he receives the spirit and began to preach he is not under Moses law that’s why he can contradict it so harshly and say “ you have heard it said long ago Thou shalt not , but I tell you this other thing “

A man under law couldn’t change the law or explain what Moses said wasn’t the way as Jesus did so often

when we receive the spirit we also are no longer under the law just as when Jesus did he was no longer under it is all I’m getting at

Jesus loves a long while inder law never sinned lived a normal human life but then he gets baptized and it’s announced that Gods son has finally arrived

he son of man was under law the son of God is the law giver at baptism it was the fulfillment of the time for the gospel to be spoken and ordained by his spirit and blood and sent to the world

can't fulfill the LAW if you're born when the LAW is null and void.
