Pick your fruit from the right tree

New Living Translation
But if you don’t believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things
Berean Standard Bible
If I have told you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
King James Bible
If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

Jesus uses things that we know about to help us understand the deeper heavenly things.

As we go through this you will begin to see the building blocks come together.

John 15:

Verse 1. I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

I am the true vine; There is another one out there that would like you to believe he is the true vine but he is a fake. Satan.

I am sure 99% of you understand what I am explaining next but it is important.

The vine is like the trunk of the tree it is connected to the roots and delivers the needed food, water, minerals ect needed for the tree or vine to grow limbs that will then produce the fruit.

My Father is the husbandman. Husbandman is the farmer, or keeper of the fields, orchards, vineyards etc.
Definition of husbandman

1: one that plows and cultivates land : FARMER

2: a specialist in a branch of farm husbandry

It is God that insures the entire farm is well kept, is well protected from the little foxes that want to run and play in the vineyard and destroy the blossoms, and the young fruit of the trees and fields. It is the farmer, husbandmen that insures the vineyard, fields ect. get watered, and that the dead, and damaged branches are cut away before they ruin the entire vineyard, field crop.

Verse 2.Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Just what are the branches? We the true body of Christ and we will prove that from verse 5 of this chapter. If we do not produce fruit we are taken away. Jesus describes new Christians as new born babes. How does a new bore baby produce? They grow, they start to learn how to crawl, walk and then run. They are either bottle fed or breast fed, then milk, then milk and cereal all the way up to solid food. Do not thank that on day one God expects you to know everything you need to know or do; a parent does not expect a new born to be ready for school the day they come home from the hospital or the day the baby is born if at home or somewhere else.

Verse 3. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

What makes us clean?

Romans 10

8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Make sure the words that the words your preacher, teacher, the person that is leading you to Christ and should be helping you line up with what Paul has written which came to him through The Holy Spirit. You want to be saved you must confess with your mouth, your own words #1. Confess with your lips “Jesus is Lord” ; Your Lord, you are giving your life over to Him; making Him Lord of your life making Him first above all else. #2. Believe in your heart, your soul, that God raised Him from the dead you shall be saved. You do not have to put money in the plate, you do not have to speak in tongues, you do not have to be baptized on the spot, or any other thing someone may tell you. That is what Gods word said. Paul goes on in verse to tell us God does not care what color, race, gender you are.

Hosea 6:6

English Standard Version
For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Berean Standard Bible
For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
King James Bible
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings

Matthew 9:12&13

English Standard Version
But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.

King James Bible
But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

English Standard Version
Go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.’ For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
King James Bible
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

You may be asking just how does this apply to pick your fruit from the right tree.

If you do not understand the very first steep you will get off on the wrong path. You do not feed a new baby a Rib-Eye not even ground up. Understanding that Jesus wants you to come just as you are as long as you come willingly and with an open heart and you are ready to follow Him, His word,His way.

Running out of words will pick this up later

The unregenerate people will not, and indeed, cannot discern the things of the Spirit, thinking them to be foolishness (1 Cor 2:14)..

Another thing that might be keeping you from interpreting these scriptures rightly, is the fact that you are not understanding the Greek meaning of the words, salvation=deliverance, saved=delivered, save=deliver. There is a one time deliverance for all of those that God gave to his Son to redeem from their sins on the cross, which finished his work on earth, and he now sits on the right hand of his Father, making intercession for those he died for.

While Romans was written to the believers in Rome, verses 1-3 were written about the unbelieving Jews, who believed that they obtained righteousness based on law (v. 5). Paul contrasts that with righteousness based on faith (vss. 6-13), which is what Christians have. Paul is not contrasting one kind of Christian with another.

There are many aspects of these verses that you have no knowledge of;

Israel in verse 1 is not the whole nation of Israel (Rom 9:6) Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect, for they are not all Israel that are of Israel. God changed Jacob's name to be called Israel (Gen 32:28). The Israel in verse 1 is Israel/Jacob who is representative of the elect of God (Rom 9:11).

The people that Paul was praying for were those that have "A ZEAL OF GOD" = a devotion to God, indicating that they had been born again, but they were ignorant to the knowledge of what Christ had accomplished while on the cross. that they might be saved=delivered from their ignorance of the righteousness of God about the mystery of what Christ accomplished on the cross.

Israel/Jacob encompases all of those who were redeemed from every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation and are numbered as many as the sand in the sea, and the stars in the sky.

There is the remnant of the household of Israel/Jacob, numbered as 144,000, that have been revealed the knowledge of what Christ accomplished on the cross, and the rest of Israel/Jacob, who are referred to as "the lost sheep of the household of Israel/Jacob" and were blinded to the mystery of this knowledge.

Wrong. Verses 1-3 are talking about the same people discussed in 9:30-33. 10:1 makes abundantly clear that Paul is talking about unbelieving Jews, as he writes "that they may be saved". One does not pray such a thing for those already saved.

The people that Paul was praying for were those that have "A ZEAL OF GOD" = a devotion to God, indicating that they had been born again,
Again, wrong. Zeal is not devotion. They are loosely related concepts but not synonyms. Zeal certainly does not indicate that they were born again at all. Moslems, Mormons, and JW's all have a zeal for God... and certainly aren't saved.

9:32 "Because they did not pursue it [righteousness] by faith, but as if it were based on works." Also 10:3 "For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness."

but they were ignorant to the knowledge of what Christ had accomplished while on the cross. that they might be saved=delivered from their ignorance of the righteousness of God about the mystery of what Christ accomplished on the cross.
Is there any other Scripture you want to muddle completely, while you're on a roll? Paul doesn't even hint that the unbelieving Jews were simply unaware of Christ's atonement. Paul preached in their synagogues for years, and most rejected his message of salvation by faith in Christ.

I don't know where you are getting your Greek interpretations from, but the Strongs concordance says SAVED=DELIVERED. All of those that God gave to his Son (John 6:39) were delivered from their sins and promised an inheritance of heaven. This deliverance was accepted by God, and was a one time deliverance. All other salvations (deliverances) Are received by those he died for as they sojourn here on earth. For instance, there is a deliverance from ignorance when a born again person comes to a knowledge of the truth, as stated in Romans the tenth chapter.

Jacob, whose name was changed, by God (Gen 32:28) to be called Israel is representative of all of those that God gave to his Son on the cross, including himself.

I think that you ought to get yourself another dictionary. My dictionary says that one of the words that describe zeal is devotion.

Why do you suggest that Mosiems, mormons, and Jews, are certainly not given the promise of being delivered eternally, when Rev:5:9 says he was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation?

You, yourself, are not aware of Christ's accomplishments on the cross, unless you know that every person that he died for will be in heaven.

There is a deliverance, (salvation) here in time, by our faith in believing what Christ accomplished on the cross, but our faith has nothing to do with gaining our eternal deliverance. (salvation).

The words used to define another word are not necessarily synonyms. Devotion and zeal are related concepts but are not synonymous.

I said "JW's", not "Jews". The three I named are religions, not people groups.

Relevant to what? Or is it that you don't know how to explain it any differently?
Your post adds nothing to your argument, and doesn't counter any of mine, so it is irrelevant.

Yawn.

I couldn't disagree more. If you truly believe that "saved = delivered" as you claimed in post #8, then you must believe that faith has nothing whatsoever to do with anything... for this life or the next. Or, as I suspect, you believe two things that are mutually incompatible.

Romans 10 the BSB

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation. 2For I testify about them that they are zealous for God, but not on the basis of knowledge. 3Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

Romans 10 verse 1

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is for their salvation.

This is cut and pasted from your post to me

Rom 10 does not have reference to unregenerate people, but is addressed to regenerate people.

By unregenerate people I am assuming you mean unsaved.

Paul opens this chapter saying “My (Paul's) heart's desire(my longing my desire) and prayer to God for the Israelities(The Jewish people) is for their SALVATION. If they are not saved they can not be regenerate people?

If they have a zeal for God but not on the basis of knowledge (If they do not have the right knowledge how can they be anything but unsaved or unregenerate people)`. Why are these people with out knowledge?

Verse 3. Because they were ignorant of God’s righteousness. Surly if you are ignorant(without understanding or knowledge of something) of Gods righteousness.

you can not be regenerate person.

Verse 4.For Christ is the end of the law, to bring righteousness to everyone who believes.

Do not misunderstand what Paul is saying here; Christ is the end of the religious law, the sacrifices. Jesus said “I came not to abolish the law but to fulfill the law.” The law the 10 commandments are still in affect Jesus said He was not going to do away with one dot, or one tittle of the law. It is the sacrificial law, the killing of animals and the spilling of blood that are done away with.

You also said “Another thing that might be keeping you from interpreting these scriptures rightly, is the fact that you are not understanding the Greek meaning of the words, salvation=deliverance, saved=delivered, save=deliver. There is a one time deliverance for all of those that God gave to his Son to redeem from their sins on the cross, which finished his work on earth, and he now sits on the right hand of his Father, making intercession for those he died for.”

You might want to look at my post Pick your fruit from the right tree part 2. I use the concordance.

Make sure you pick it up from under the right tree then.
You throw rocks. If you disagree with me please let me know what you thank I have wrong and we can go to the scripture and figure it. I am not perfect I am sure I can make mistakes. I do not want to fight worst thing that can happen is we agree to disagree.

Sense the New Testament was written in Greek lets see what the word Believe means in the Greek. Look up the word believe it says #4100 turn to the Greek dictionary in your Strong's:

Now lets look at 4102: From peitho; persuasion, IE Credence; moral conviction (of religious truth, or the truthfulness of God or a religious teacher), especially reliance upon Christ for salvation; abstractly, constancy in such profession; by extension, the system of religious (Gospel) truth itself - assurance, belief, believe, faith, fidelity.
