Why do you think he said to Adam and Eve be fruitful and multiply. Family is at the top of his list for blessings he gives people.
It's when the family doesn't unite under God as the head of the home that it falls apart and becomes a curse.
God can't bless you if he isn't part of the equation in the first place.
