Reagan ran, and the Left said it would be the KKK in the White House. Bush was illegitimately elected. Trump was illegitimately elected. The press has reamed DeSantis. Why do you think Trump stepping down would stop that or even limit it? No matter who wins on the Republican side, the largely Leftist press corp will rip him/her a new butthole every chance they get. This is what happens when the Left faces its favorite expression of patriotism, dissent.

I want a conservative / constitutionalist guy who can weather that and fire back. I want someone who will fight for the nation's founding principles, which the LW press corp hates. The controversy is their fault, not Trump's, not Bush's, not Reagan's. They are effectively doing what the SA and Black Shirts did, shouting down and intimidating all anti-Left opposition. It is the American press corp you need to be down-voting, not Trump.
since I did not reference Trump stepping down, but mentioned what I thought would happen if he had another 4 years, I cannot answer your question since it comes out of the thin air

as for the rest of it, you simply expressed what you want

great

So, when you said "I think we would have another 4 years of made up conspiratorial attacks coming from the left ... we don't need that...", you meant what, exactly?

Let's not pretend the right isn't prone to tin foil hat conspiracy theories like there's allegedly a gang of Satan worshiping child molesting cannibals that run the entire planet.
Or that Bill Gates is using the vaccine to put microchips in people
Or that George Soros is behind basically every movement they disagree with.
Or that a pizza parlor was smuggling kids through a non-existent basement

I meant the drama that was inflicted on the entire country

I am not a Democrat...I believe them to be liars extraordinaire and they cheat in elections and get away with it, covering up their dirt and sticking together to form a cohesive front

I just think Trump is a bad idea, and if he would learn to speak in a civil manner, he would not be becoming so unpopular

the policies under his term were great

I am neither Dem or Republican. I don't care much for the right either. They are not united and cannot seem to grasp the fact that they consistently are undermined by the other side. dense

I won't be voting for either one of them but at least the Desantis doesn't speak like he has a third grade literacy level or brag about how hot his own daughter is

We have inflation through the roof, we have gas, food, heating prices through the roof. We have a wide open border with drugs, criminals, and terrorists pouring through. We have the gov't calling parents terrorists for standing up against CRT, transgenders assulting and sexualizing their kids. We have people afraid to walk out of their houses, let alone take the subway for fear of being beaten half to death. Compare that to when Trump was in office. Yeah I'll take him every day of the week over Mr. Bumbles eating hims ice creams and telling us how inflation doesn't exist and the economy is "solid as he$$". He's an utter moron.

I would prefer to have Trump finish what he started in 2016-2020, and then have DeSantis take the next 8. As for infighting, that nonsense needs to stop and now, Mr. Trump.

Funny, someone just said on a news site that De Santis's votes went up when Trump tweaked him. People need to understand that politics is like a wrestling match. They talk trash, hit each other over the head with chairs but out of the ring they're best friends. It's all about getting the attention of the people.

I think that Trump will loose the 2024 election if he runs.
Nah, don't underestimate him or his support. They already did that and he proved them wrong. He did a lot for this country and I believe he has a lot of loyal people out there.

Soros? I thought it was Bezos behind all those things. At least that's what I heard...

I think we would have another 4 years of made up conspiratorial attacks coming from the left ... we don't need that and it would happen as sure as it did the last time

Trump can only run if his party votes for him to run. I don't think that would happen. Disaster waiting to happen if were to happen

DeSantis? Thankfully I live in FL and he is young enough to wait. would appreciate him staying right where he is for now

Has his wife recovered from cancer? I had not heard but I know she was very involved in his election. She sure is a beautiful lady, seems like she supports him all the way.

So do I. He is almost as old as Biden with tons of legal baggage. Time for a generational change. If nominated, I will be voting for Ron DeSantis.

He can run circles around Biden. Shoot he can run circles round men half his age. And that's not fair brother, the "legal" baggage is Dems trying to keep him out of office. If you think they won't do the same to De Santis, you don't understand Dems.

Then how can you not be saying that Trump should not run??

As for the rest of your statement, I agree with the general sentiment. The Right does not seem to get what's going on and is not fighting properly.

I responded to what you said. Directly. Not interrogating. You're denying that what you said is what you meant, and I asked for an explanation since we're supposed to be having a conversation.

Anyway, I've made my statements and am getting off the ride now.

I believe his policies were good

the man himself? not so much

it really does not matter if you agree with me or not

I don't think you actually understood what I was saying but I certainly did not deny anything

I heard a journalist tell a story about playing tennis with Trump in Mar-A-Lago
Trump got mad because the water fountain wasn't working properly so he kicked the water fountain until he broke a water pipe and flooded the whole tennis court
I'm not sure if I want a guy with a hot temper like that in charge of nuclear weapons

Oh c'mon, this is ridiculous. He was so for four years, remember??? Yet, we are far closer to a nuclear confrontation with the Left in power than we ever were under Trump. He opposed the Iraq invasion as well. If there was anything that man wasn't, it was a warmonger.

Baloney. People will believe any gossip. You've got Mr Bumbles in charge of nukes now. If that doesn't scare the :poop: out of you, nothing will.
