"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth
that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills." ― Adrian Rogers
I don’t know who Adrian is but this does sound right to me and my belief that despite
many denominations, everyone is correct in seeking Truth in their own ways In-Christ.
Adrian Rogers is/was a wonderfully warm and impassioned teacher, preacher, and expositor of the revealed written Word of God.
He no longer walks this world, although he still has programs and much content online. This is from the wiki page on him:

Adrian Pierce Rogers (September 12, 1931 – November 15, 2005) was an American Southern Baptist pastor
and conservative author. He served three terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention (1979–1980
and 1986–1988). Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, he entered Christian ministry at the age of nineteen,
graduating from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He was senior pastor of First Baptist Church in Merritt Island, Florida from 1964 to 1972. In 1972, he became
the senior pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, where he remained until March 2005.
During this period, the church's membership grew from 9,000 to 29,000, and the church moved into a new,
megachurch facility. Rogers was named pastor emeritus after his retirement in March 2005.

His radio ministry is called Love Worth Finding and is available through kari55.com and also his own website (<= link :))

Videos on youtube also abound :D

I thought I was conversing with someone who had the same belief as I, eternal salvation by God's sovereign grace, without the help of man, but I guess not.
I'm not in the Calvinist camp due to the fact there is a requirement of humanity to respond. A faith gifted and a faith required. In Greek Pistis versus Pisteuo. Faith and believe. We are commanded to have faith.

The house of Israel are disobedient elect children of God, who have the promise of an eternal heaven.
Yes! All Israel will be saved. Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:

It is not as though God’s word has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel.
Nor because they are Abraham’s descendants are they all his children. On the contrary, “Through

but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring. Romans 9:6-8

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:16, 27-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:15-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, does not have spiritual faith. Spiritual faith comes as a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22), and is given to indwell a person who is quickened to the new spiritual life (born again).

Scripture has three words in English but two in Greek in related to Faith (pistis) Faith (pisteuo) and believe (pisteuo)

PISTEUO:
Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

4100 pisteúō (from 4102 /pístis, "faith," derived from 3982 /peíthō, "persuade, be persuaded") – believe (affirm, have confidence); used of persuading oneself (= human believing) and with the sacred significance of being persuaded by the Lord (= faith-believing). Only the context indicates whether 4100 /pisteúō ("believe") is self-serving (without sacred meaning), or the believing that leads to/proceeds from God's inbirthing of faith.

PISTIS:
Ephesians 2:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

(4102/pistis) is always a gift from God, and never something that can be produced by people. In short, 4102/pistis ("faith") for the believer is "God's divine persuasion" – and therefore distinct from human belief (confidence), yet involving it. The Lord continuously births faith in the yielded believer so they can know what He prefers, i.e. the persuasion of His will (1 Jn 5:4).

I liked this.

When we deal with God we are always dealing in absolutes. That is: the utmost of the standard.

For example: the word for disobedience in the Greek is from the root word apeithēs. It's the same word from which we derive "apathy" in English.

We tend to consider apathy different than disobedience. Yet, when God is the standard, and man does not move when God compels him, his unwillingness to move is disobedience not simply an uncaring demeanor.

There are THREE ASPECTS of faith. (1) Saving faith is generated through the preaching of the Gospel and the convincing and convicting of the Holy Spirit. (2) Then there is the spiritual gift of faith, which would imply an extraordinary faith. (3) Finally there is faith as the fruit of the spirit, and includes the measure of faith required to exercise spiritual gifts of ministry.

The Calvinistic idea of saving faith given to only "the elect" is just nonsense. Since God and Christ desire the salvation of all human beings, God would give this "gift" to everyone and all would believe (if that were indeed the case). But since all do not believe, it does not mean that some are elected for salvation and others for damnation. That would contradict the character of God and the nature of the Gospel. The reason all will not believe is given in the third chapter of John.

I am guessing that the three aspects of faith are derived from your on assumption, sense you do not have scriptures with them.

I makes me wonder, when reading Dan 4:35, as to why you believe that God desires all mankind to be saved eternally, knowing that all mankind will not be saved.

It's pretty clear to me in Eph 2 that the unregenerate, who is spiritually dead in sins, has no say in his being quickened.

So why the constant command to unbelievers to believe in scripture? Even Jesus preached saying to believe. Why command for belief if belief was solely in your hands? The logic doesn't follow. But I been down this rabbit trail too many times. We are free will agents. If it wasn't so then God would be the creator of sin.

The explanation is within the misunderstanding, that the words, salvation=deliverance, saved=delivered, and save=deliver

There is a deliverance here in this world for a child of God to come unto a knowledge of the truth.

God gave mankind the freedom to make choices as to how he want to live his life here on earth, but man's eternal destination is made by God's sovereign grace, without man's choice.

Well then God's sovereign grace would save everyone since Christ came to save the world (John 3:17). The fact that not everyone is saved means that you understand neither grace nor sovereignty, and continue to oppose the truth. You are in fact an enemy of the true Gospel which offers salvation to anyone and everyone -- to "whosoever" will take of the Water of Life freely (Rev 22:17).

I think you left out part of the scripture, was that on purpose? And let him that is athirst come. Who are those that thirst after spiritual things? It is not the unregenerate natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, that cannot discern the things of the Spirit, thinking them to be foolishness.

It might help you to understand the scriptures better, if you read the whole scripture, and not avoid the scriptures that do not fit your theory of eternal salvation by works. It must be the person that God has quickened to a spiritual life, by exchanging. his stony heart for a fleshy heart that can be pricked to feel guilty of breaking spiritual laws.

You have not learned to separate the salvation (deliverance) scriptures between eternal deliverance, and deliverances that the born again child of God receives as he sojourns here in this world.

You, also, have not learned to separate the world that God loves, from the world that God hates.

John 17:9 - I pray for them (the world that I love), I pray not for the world (that I hate), but for them thou hast given me; for they are thine.

John 17:14 - I have given them the word; and the world (that I hate) hath hated them, because they are not of the world (that I hate).

John 14:17 - Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world (that I hate) cannot receive.

John 15:18-19 - If the world (that I hate) hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own, but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

John 16:20 - Verly, Verly, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice.
