"It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is better to speak the truth
that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills." ― Adrian Rogers
Adrian Rogers is/was a wonderfully warm and impassioned teacher, preacher, and expositor of the revealed written Word of God.I don’t know who Adrian is but this does sound right to me and my belief that despite
many denominations, everyone is correct in seeking Truth in their own ways In-Christ.
I see it as both them and all unbelievers.
The house of Israel are disobedient elect children of God, who have the promise of an eternal heaven.
Only for those who come to Christ
I thought I was conversing with someone who had the same belief as I, eternal salvation by God's sovereign grace, without the help of man, but I guess not.
Yes! All Israel will be saved. Romans 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written:The house of Israel are disobedient elect children of God, who have the promise of an eternal heaven.

Nor because they are Abraham’s descendants are they all his children. On the contrary, “Through
Isaac your offspring will be reckoned.” So it is not the children of the flesh who are God’s children,
but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as offspring. Romans 9:6-8
I'm not in the Calvinist camp due to the fact there is a requirement of humanity to respond. A faith gifted and a faith required. In Greek Pistis versus Pisteuo. Faith and believe. We are commanded to have faith.
The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, does not have spiritual faith. Spiritual faith comes as a fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal 5:22), and is given to indwell a person who is quickened to the new spiritual life (born again).
Scripture has three words in English but two in Greek in related to Faith (pistis) Faith (pisteuo) and believe (pisteuo)
PISTEUO:
Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV)
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
4100 pisteúō (from 4102 /pístis, "faith," derived from 3982 /peíthō, "persuade, be persuaded") – believe (affirm, have confidence); used of persuading oneself (= human believing) and with the sacred significance of being persuaded by the Lord (= faith-believing). Only the context indicates whether 4100 /pisteúō ("believe") is self-serving (without sacred meaning), or the believing that leads to/proceeds from God's inbirthing of faith.
PISTIS:
Ephesians 2:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
(4102/pistis) is always a gift from God, and never something that can be produced by people. In short, 4102/pistis ("faith") for the believer is "God's divine persuasion" – and therefore distinct from human belief (confidence), yet involving it. The Lord continuously births faith in the yielded believer so they can know what He prefers, i.e. the persuasion of His will (1 Jn 5:4).
There are THREE ASPECTS of faith. (1) Saving faith is generated through the preaching of the Gospel and the convincing and convicting of the Holy Spirit. (2) Then there is the spiritual gift of faith, which would imply an extraordinary faith. (3) Finally there is faith as the fruit of the spirit, and includes the measure of faith required to exercise spiritual gifts of ministry. The natural man, as described in 1 Cor 2:14, does not have spiritual faith. The Calvinistic idea of saving faith given to only "the elect" is just nonsense. Since God and Christ desire the salvation of all human beings, God would give this "gift" to everyone and all would believe (if that were indeed the case). But since all do not believe, it does not mean that some are elected for salvation and others for damnation. That would contradict the character of God and the nature of the Gospel. The reason all will not believe is given in the third chapter of John.

So why the constant command to unbelievers to believe in scripture? Even Jesus preached saying to believe. Why command for belief if belief was solely in your hands? The logic doesn't follow. But I been down this rabbit trail too many times. We are free will agents. If it wasn't so then God would be the creator of sin. It's pretty clear to me in Eph 2 that the unregenerate, who is spiritually dead in sins, has no say in his being quickened.

Well then God's sovereign grace would save everyone since Christ came to save the world (John 3:17). The fact that not everyone is saved means that you understand neither grace nor sovereignty, and continue to oppose the truth. You are in fact an enemy of the true Gospel which offers salvation to anyone and everyone -- to "whosoever" will take of the Water of Life freely (Rev 22:17)....but man's eternal destination is made by God's sovereign grace, without man's choice.
