Jeremiah 9:1-9 -- They make ready their tongues like bows to shoot lies
1 Oh, that my head were a spring of water and my eyes a fountain of tears! I would weep day and night for the slain of my people. 2 Oh, that I had in the desert a lodging place for travelers, so that I might leave my people and go away from them; for they are all adulterers, a crowd of unfaithful people.
We have a covenant, a contract, a constitution. The politicians sell themselves out to the highest bidder. We are seeing evidence of the Biden family doing this for years, working together with the Kerry family. There is a list of all the key figures in the government doing this as well. We see the FBI is involved, the tech giants, and the major media outlets.
3 “They make ready their tongue like a bow, to shoot lies; it is not by truth that they triumph in the land. They go from one sin to another; they do not acknowledge me,” declares the Lord.
What a fantastic description of what we are seeing happening right now. First, we have polls telling us for months how Biden or Katy Hobbs was leading by 10-14%. With a lead like that this should have been a huge sweep. Yet with our own eyes we could not see anyone interested in his or her rally’s and we saw all of the interest in the Trump rallies and Kari Lake's rallies. They were all clearly Trump and Lake supporters. We heard the Biden camp encourage all their voters to mail in the votes because “of the pandemic” and likewise with Hobbs. This allows them to count how many they will need before stuffing the ballots. “They have made their tongues ready like a bow to shoot lies”. They are not interested in triumphing by truth. One sin to the next, cover up the past sins so that we can go on to the next sins. The changes to the laws all are like loading an arrow into your bow.
4 “Beware of your friends; do not trust anyone in your clan. For every one of them is a deceiver, and every friend a slanderer.
The republicans won the election in 2022 and should control the budget. However, 25 RINOs (Republican in name only) voted in the Senate for the omnibus bill. By doing that they take away any leverage that the republicans would have had to conduct investigations once they got into power. It should be clear to all that "every one of them is a deceiver".
5 Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.
One really great lie they did was to say that the US produced a million jobs prior to the election so we weren't in a recession. After the election we learn that was a lie.
6 You live in the midst of deception; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,” declares the Lord.
No one can deny that in the US the laws and government have refused to acknowledge the Lord now for years, decades.
7 Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty says: “See, I will refine and test them, for what else can I do because of the sin of my people? 8 Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceitfully. With their mouths they all speak cordially to their neighbors, but in their hearts they set traps for them. 9 Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord. “Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?”
I am a teacher and have learned to expect these kinds of traps every year from the parents of students. For example a parent was not happy that I require a 50% score or better on an online assignment before I will put it in the gradebook. The student can redo them, I only keep the highest grade, and I give them the answers to half the questions on a video where I work out the first half of the assignment. Still she wasn’t happy so she complained that she “didn’t like the tone” of my grading policy where I say “I do not accept grades less than 50%” and wanted it changed to a much more kid friendly “I don’t want to accept grades less than 50%”. But if you say that then it isn’t clear, do you accept them or not. It was a trap.

A little secret in prayer
15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which ye show toward all the saints, 16 cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; 18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might 20 which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Praying the word of God is a great way to pray that God's will would be done. I have often heard people encourage you to change the word "you" to me. Pray that the Lord would give me a spirit of wisdom, that my heart would be enlightened, and that I might know what is the hope of His calling. These are valid prayers, but I would encourage you not to change the wording. Praying for others is a really powerful secret. Pray for those who are going to hear you speak, or who are going to receive the letter you have written to them (as Paul did here). What better way to know what is the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints?
This is what make believers in the Lord different from all other faiths, we have love for one another, we pray for one another. In every religion the people pray for their heart to be enlightened, but in the Lord we pray for one another to be enlightened. If you are sharing any light you get then any light you get benefits the whole body.

God is going to send fire on Judah that will consume the fortresses of Jerusalem
Amos 2:
4 This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Judah, even for four, I will not relent. Because they have rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept his decrees, because they have been led astray by false gods, the gods their ancestors followed, 5 I will send fire on Judah that will consume the fortresses of Jerusalem.”
The US claims to be a Christian nation that trusts in God. His commandment was to love our neighbor as ourselves. Torture, violating treaties, hunting down and killing women and children, selling communities to the highest bidder, and cursing man made in the image of God are all examples of rejecting that law. Money and power are false gods that have led this nation astray.
Judgment on Israel 6 This is what the Lord says: “For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not relent. They sell the innocent for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.
Where was your phone made? How about your slippers? You want to blame covid on China, a poor country eating bats and living in crowded conditions, yet you don’t blame the sweatshops that you buy from for creating these conditions.
7 They trample on the heads of the poor as on the dust of the ground and deny justice to the oppressed.
Build the wall. Not so that we can keep illegal immigrants out because if we did that who would do all the menial tasks we don’t want to do. No, we build the wall so that we can deny justice to the oppressed. You don’t like the oppression, fine, we’ll send you back to the other side of the wall.
Father and son use the same girl and so profane my holy name.
Is this true? Some things I am glad I don’t know about. This is what happened during slavery. About one third of America lived in the South and of them about 3% owned plantations with 100 slaves or more. So in reality this represented 1% of America. So why did they lose the war? They were greatly outnumbered. Well slavery is back, these 1% who are the elites are back, and this time they won't make the same mistake. A kill shot that will wipe out a huge number of the world's population, AI, robots and drones will replace them, and a couple of wars with nuclear bombs will do the rest. Read about Antiochus and he was far worse than Hitler. They still want slaves, but this time they want to wipe out all those who would oppose them before they even realize they are at war.
The Democrats are the descendants of the Confederate. This is Father and Son using the same group to be their slaves.

Amos 2: 8 They lie down beside every altar on garments taken in pledge.
The law in the OT said you had to give the pledge of a garment to the poor at night so they could sleep and not be cold. The Lord is saying that they put the poor out into the cold and take their pledge, their downpayment. This is what happened during the Mortgage crisis. People paid for their house for a couple of years, then a balloon mortgage kicked in, they couldn’t pay, the bank took back their house, keeping the money they had paid for about 5 years as well as their downpayment. Imagine you bought a $400,000 house with no downpayment. Perhaps you paid $2,000 a month for this house for 5 years. So after paying the bank $120,000 the balloon mortgage kicks in and you have to pay $4,000 a month. Well they specifically picked you knowing that it would be all you could do to pay the $2,000 a month so when the mortgage jumps to $4,000 you have no chance at all of paying it. Maybe you try and pay some who knows, after six months the bank repossess the house and you have paid them more than 120k! The Lord will judge the US for this.

I worked for a bank and learned that the overdraft fees and other “fines” were their bread and butter. I once saw a person who had written ten small checks for a total of about $100. A deposit came in the same day as the checks, so if they processed the deposit first all the checks would have cleared, but instead they processed the checks which bounced. This person had to pay $75 in bounced check fees for checks that totaled $100 because they delayed the deposit of that check. Cheers! Drink up, you can be sure the Lord will make you drink your judgement to the full.

The bravest warriors are about to flee naked
Amos 2:9 “Yet I destroyed the Amorites before them, though they were tall as the cedars and strong as the oaks. I destroyed their fruit above and their roots below.
There were two main battles, in the wilderness the children of Israel asked for permission to pass through the land of the Amorites and they refused, instead coming out with their full army to attack them. Israel defeated them which was a great sign to all the nations round about. Later, in the good land 5 kings of the Amorites came out to attack Joshua and that was the day the sun stood still so he could finish the battle. You saw what God did to these people who you have dispossessed and now you have taken their place. Why would you imitate them? We defeated Britain, the superpower of the day, a leader in banking and finance, and then we imitated them! We beat them in the Revolutionary war and then later in the war of 1812. Why would you imitate them? Their root was imperialism and their fruit was their banking and insurance industry.
10 I brought you up out of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness to give you the land of the Amorites. 11 “I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths. Is this not true, people of Israel?” declares the Lord. 12 “But you made the Nazirites drink wine and commanded the prophets not to prophesy.
There have been many great spiritual leaders in the US. There is no denying that. It is also true that we have laws that forbid the word of God in schools. And you are forbidden to reference the Bible or to refer to Jesus on main stream TV unless it is to mock and ridicule. But how did they “make the Nazarites” drink wine? That is a violation of their vow. I suspect this is much like the Lord’s word: But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. (Matt 23:13)
13 “Now then, I will crush you as a cart crushes when loaded with grain.
Many times the poor feel like the system is designed to run them over like a truck. So, as you have done it will be done to you. You try to feed your family, pay your bills, follow the rules, and you wind up being crushed by the system. That was really illustrated very well during the pandemic. I saw one woman who had put everything she had into a restaurant and when all the social distancing rules came out she converted her parking lot into a place where people could eat. Even so they shut her down. Meanwhile in the parking lot next to her a movie had set up a place to feed all those working on the movie. The hypocrisy could not be any clearer, there was no difference between what they set up to feed the crew with what she set up. 40% of small businesses were pushed to the edge of bankruptcy by the pandemic rules but meanwhile Amazon.com and FedEx and other tech giants had banner years.
14 The swift will not escape, the strong will not muster their strength, and the warrior will not save his life. 15 The archer will not stand his ground, the fleet-footed soldier will not get away, and the horseman will not save his life. 16 Even the bravest warriors will flee naked on that day,” declares the Lord.
You have designed a system so that the poor are trapped, so loaded up with pressures they can’t escape. A system so confusing the poor don’t know how to even use their strength to save their life. I recently wanted to pay off the car for my wife, feeling that eliminating this debt would make our financial situation more secure. She was against it, she wanted to keep the money in reserve in the event of an emergency. I did the math, I showed her that paying it off now would save her $700. She was stunned, she had no idea how the system was designed. The archer has a nice distance between him and the battle, when you lose your house they give you a month, two months, even three months warning. But in the end you lose your shirt and wind up fleeing naked. As they have done it will be done to you.

Jeremiah 9:10-26 You had better learn how to wail
10 I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the wilderness grasslands. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds have all fled and the animals are gone. 11 “I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.” 12 Who is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?
We have just learned that the Biden family has been selling influence all over the world, but that China is the key country with business dealings in excess of $1 billion. Is it any wonder that all the manufacturing jobs go to China while the politicians make promises to get a fair trade agreement with China but never deliver on that promise? They are trying to pass laws concerning climate change that would outlaw cows. But I don't think this is why Jeremiah is weeping and wailing. The birds have fled and the animals are all gone? That is not due to some trade agreement or UN law. Perhaps we are looking at a nuclear wasteland. That would explain "the land has been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross". This sounds like they have designated the area contaminated, the animals are all gone or dead and you are not permitted to go across that land.
13 The Lord said, “It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law. 14 Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.” 15 Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water. 16 I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have made an end of them.”
The US has forsaken the Lord's laws. We see it everyday with the LGBTQ agenda and pushing Transexual story hour or having doctors mutilate kids without their parents knowledge. The schools forsook the Bible and prayer back when the US school system was the envy of the world and now the US school system is the joke of the whole world. They devour widow's houses and claim the banks are too big to fail so no one can be held accountable. They steal elections, they censor the truth, the force a kill shot on everyone. They aren't following Biblical principles, instead these the principles of Cain on how to defraud, cheat, steal, lie and kill. We saw what happened to Israel when they did this, they were scattered among the nations and they were pursued with the sword until the Lord made an end of them. We have been warned and now the US has gone down the exact same path that Jeremiah prophesied about.
17 This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Consider now! Call for the wailing women to come; send for the most skillful of them. 18 Let them come quickly and wail over us till our eyes overflow with tears and water streams from our eyelids. 19 The sound of wailing is heard from Zion: ‘How ruined we are! How great is our shame! We must leave our land because our houses are in ruins.’”
How did our education become so poor that people don’t know about the electoral college and don’t understand simple math? The schools are run by the cities, and the school system is a great way the politicians can sell themselves like prostitutes. You give them $1 million for their campaign and then they give you a contract for $10 million to supply the schools. Our schools were forced to switch out all our desks and chairs after the last election. Why? We had no issue with the desks, what we needed was $70,000 for tutoring and instead we got $500,000 worth of desks we didn’t want or need. Well these desks were triangles, a very useless design unless you put four of them together to form a square. These desks require the kids to sit in groups of four, which is a slick way to lower standards. Now four kids get the credit for the work they produce. Consider your own experience in school when you did group work, did everyone pull their own weight? No teacher wanted this, but it was forced upon us, and it gets worse. Not only do they waste $500,000 for the school making it look like our schools are well funded, but then they have to create an entire justification for this which forces all teachers to now teach kids in groups of four. So then we get the order from on high that you have to teach the kids like they are running a 3 legged race. What idiot would design a school system like this? It was obvious, the rich and elites want to make sure that inner city kids who are more motivated than their kids don't out perform them. This is what they did to us so the Lord is going to do the same to them. He wants a whole new class of skilled laborers called "professional wailers".
20 Now, you women, hear the word of the Lord; open your ears to the words of his mouth. Teach your daughters how to wail; teach one another a lament.

What do you think happened to Detroit when they sent the manufacturing to China? Why do you think the water in Flint was poisoned? When you lose your tax base, you lose your ability to provide basic services. Why is it that the US suffers from so much gang violence and drug deaths? These cities have been sold out by the elected representatives.
22 Say, “This is what the Lord declares: “‘Dead bodies will lie like dung on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.’”
There is going to a horrific surprise attack on the US from all our enemies. Not just Russia, but China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, etc.
23 This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, 24 but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord.
The church is the ark where you will be saved from this coming calamity.
25 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will punish all who are circumcised only in the flesh— 26 Egypt, Judah, Edom, Ammon, Moab and all who live in the wilderness in distant places. For all these nations are really uncircumcised, and even the whole house of Israel is uncircumcised in heart.”
The problem is our heart. Why are we willing to ignore politicians who are robbing us blind? Why are we willing to listen to empty promises year after year after year and yet when they were in power they did nothing. The problem is we aren’t circumcised in our heart. Why are we willing to let our schools become the laughing stock of the developed world? We will be circumcised on "the eighth day" and this will separate us from these fleshly ones. They will be cut off and tossed in the trash. When the US is destroyed in a surprise attack it will impact the entire world and they will all be punished.
10 I will weep and wail for the mountains and take up a lament concerning the wilderness grasslands. They are desolate and untraveled, and the lowing of cattle is not heard. The birds have all fled and the animals are gone. 11 “I will make Jerusalem a heap of ruins, a haunt of jackals; and I will lay waste the towns of Judah so no one can live there.” 12 Who is wise enough to understand this? Who has been instructed by the Lord and can explain it? Why has the land been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross?
We have just learned that the Biden family has been selling influence all over the world, but that China is the key country with business dealings in excess of $1 billion. Is it any wonder that all the manufacturing jobs go to China while the politicians make promises to get a fair trade agreement with China but never deliver on that promise? They are trying to pass laws concerning climate change that would outlaw cows. But I don't think this is why Jeremiah is weeping and wailing. The birds have fled and the animals are all gone? That is not due to some trade agreement or UN law. Perhaps we are looking at a nuclear wasteland. That would explain "the land has been ruined and laid waste like a desert that no one can cross". This sounds like they have designated the area contaminated, the animals are all gone or dead and you are not permitted to go across that land.
13 The Lord said, “It is because they have forsaken my law, which I set before them; they have not obeyed me or followed my law. 14 Instead, they have followed the stubbornness of their hearts; they have followed the Baals, as their ancestors taught them.” 15 Therefore this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “See, I will make this people eat bitter food and drink poisoned water. 16 I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known, and I will pursue them with the sword until I have made an end of them.”

He that is least -- Let this mind be in you and take the kingdom by force
Matthew 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.
I always assumed that the Lord was saying that everyone in the kingdom of heaven is greater than John the Baptist, but that isn't what He said. He said that He that is least is greater than him.
The word means small, and incidentally the name Paul also means small.
It means small in stature, in rank, in influence, and in number.
That in turn reminded me of Philadelphia. Laodicea claims they are rich, that is not "least". Thyatira has queen Jezebel claiming to be some great prophet of God. They appear to represent the Catholic church, they are surely not "least". Sardis has a name that they are living, so at least in name they aren't least. But Philadelphia had "a little strength", enough to not deny the Lord's name and to keep His word. If you don't do those two things you wouldn't even be in the kingdom of the heavens. Pergamos had the throne of Satan. Ephesus was out examining so called apostles and prophets and judging that they are false, that is surely not "least". Perhaps Smyrna and Philadelphia represent those who are least, those who have died in Christ and those who are still alive at the Lord's coming.
But then I was reminded of Philippians chapter 2.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Jesus is the one that is least. Jesus is the one who is greater than John the Baptist. We are told to let this mind be in us.
Now if we tie Matthew 11:11 to these verses in Philippians 2 it gives an entirely different interpretation to Matthew 11:12.
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
If this is referring to Jesus and all those who are in Him and take up their cross to follow Him what is His example of being violent and taking the kingdom by force? Surely this is referring to the cross of Christ where He put Satan to an open shame.
I was once talking about the crucified life and being absolute for the Lord and I used the example of Ronnie Lott. Ronnie was a safety playing for San Francisco 49ers. He was injured in a game, his pinky was mangled and they had to put it in a cast. However, the playoffs were starting so he would miss the playoff games. So he asked the doctor, what if we just cut it off, if you amputate the pinky can I play? They were stunned, they hadn't considered that, but yes, if you amputated the pinky he could play. So he told them "cut it off". Was Ronnie Lott violent and did he take the kingdom by force? Surely in typology he did.
If you begin with the mind that you are the least it is not hard to say "cut that off". If I am the least I am so happy to be on the team, to be going to the playoffs, no way I'm going to let a hurt pinky keep me from that.

I will punish you for all your sins
Amos 3:1 Hear this word, people of Israel, the word the Lord has spoken against you—against the whole family I brought up out of Egypt: 2 “You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”
Yes, this applies to Israel. However, consider our history in the US with Plymouth Rock and the Lord bringing our ancestors across the sea from persecution. There is a reason that the US alone is considered a "Christian nation". When I lived in Taiwan they had a strong Christian presence, but no one would consider them a "Christian nation". When I lived in England they have a national church and yet they made it very clear to me they are not "a Christian nation". Judgement begins with the house of God. During the Holocaust a third of all Jews were killed and when we read in Revelation during the tribulation a third of all the people on earth are killed. So then what does Paul tell the believers, we believe that one died for all, therefore "all died". Paul said "I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me". All genuine believers in Jesus Christ should be crucified with Him.
3 Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?
If you claim you are a believer, then you have agreed to walk together with the Lord. That road leads to the cross.
4 Does a lion roar in the thicket when it has no prey? Does it growl in its den when it has caught nothing? 5 Does a bird swoop down to a trap on the ground when no bait is there? Does a trap spring up from the ground if it has not caught anything? 6 When a trumpet sounds in a city, do not the people tremble? When disaster comes to a city, has not the Lord caused it?
We have a duty and a responsibility. We know God’s words, we know His laws. We are supposed to be the light of the world and the salt that kills the germs. If God and His people are going to walk together they must be in agreement. If you are a servant of the Lord you should hear when the Lion seizes the prey. You should be aware when the trap has sprung. You need to sound the trumpet! The fool in his heart says there is no God, but we need to let them know that when disaster comes to a city the Lord has caused it. This plan has been revealed to His servants, so the servants have a responsibility and a duty to sound the alarm.
We can hear the lion roaring about "catching them all" but we see nothing. The point is, no one claims to have "caught all the criminals" in the government if that is not true. Making accusations like that is how people end up missing or suicided. Who put bait in the trap? That was God. Ukraine is a trap and Biden had been caught. Disaster has come to Ukraine, you can be sure God has caused it. Disaster has come with this huge winter storm, you can be sure God has caused that too. Why?
7 Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.
This is the context of this much quoted verse. There is a plan and you know that it has been revealed to the prophets. Therefore seek and you will find these prophets. Judgement has been determined on the earth and it will begin with the US. You may think that it has begun with Ukraine and that has nothing to do with the US. If that were so why are they so intent on helping Ukraine, sending them over $100 billion and willing to start a nuclear war with Russia over Ukraine. Why do they claim that they are protecting democracy when Ukraine is a dictatorship with censorship and one of the most corrupt regimes in the world? Do you really think the US blew up the Russians pipeline because Ukraine has nothing to do with us? The US has been caught in a trap, they have to fight Russia over Ukraine because whatever is hidden in that country will be the end of them. We are hearing that they have all been caught, we are hearing the lion roar, and we have been told that the Lord put the bait in the trap. Why? God told us, because He is going to punish the US for their sins.
