Some individuals may or may not have been in covenant with God, but America as a whole never entered into covenant with God.
Covenants are initiated by God and truly He alone can uphold them.

America's 'Explicit Covenant with God': How a Nation Pledged to God Can Save a World or Lose It
07-01-2022

Paul Strand

WASHINGTON – Covenants are viewed as the most sacred and binding of deals – an oath that's never to be broken. America's earliest settlers made a covenant with God to serve and proclaim Him throughout the earth. These days, however, Americans appear to have forgotten this covenant and that can have dire consequences.

America Began in Covenant

Early English settlers also wanted their new land to share such a binding covenant with God. Christian historian Eddie Hyatt, the author of The Great Prayer Awakening of 1857-58, said those who came to Jamestown starting in 1607 put it in their Virginia Compact.
There is not one mention of Jesus in the founding documents.
It hubristic to think men can make a covenant with God.
There also is no scriptural evidence of America having a covenant with God. Nkr is there any evidence of a nation being able to make a covenant with God.
God makes covenants .

Jonathan Cahn loves to be introduced as "Rabbi" despite Jesus' clear command not to call anyone on earth Rabbi. He also loves being introduced as "New York Times best-selling author." I wonder if he bought his way onto this list like other famous Christian celebrities have done.

In my ignorant years I used to believe this myth, at least partly. It's simply not true: the US is not and has never been a Christian Nation. Ever.

To believe the US has some covenant relationship with God is willful blindness, probably started by a politically motivated speaker.

But let's for a second, say that the US had or has a covenant with God: in the end, as in the time when the beast and the anti-Christ rule, all nations will succumb to their ways with no exception. So how much, do you think, a believer should extoll the virtues of a country destined to go the way of the anti-Christ? 5%, 95%.. Seriously. The time to repent of US exceptionalism, as far as God is concerned, was yesterday. Men cling to it to their own folly.

The first place I recall hearing this myth was on TBN; the Crouches used to push it heavily. They may still, I don't know. It may go back to British Israelism and the idea that the US and Great Britain inherited the blessings of Ephraim and Manasseh.

The nation's motto is not a covenant. A covenant would appear in the Bible..................wake up.

That would make sense. I label TBN as politically motivated since they often push the idea that the US can vote its way into the kingdom.

I've known of this guy's books. They're stupid and they play upon the myth of the U.S. being a Christian nation.

Nowhere, in the Constitution or in the law of the United States, can I find a covenant relationship between the nation of the United States and God. A nation cannot abandon what they've never obtained and God cannot abandon what He's never possessed.

In fact, U.S. law makes it quite clear that the people are the sovereign over the nation. This is nowhere near the model of the kingdom of God.
You may know of them but you clearly have not read them or you would know he's speaking of a Covenant made before the USA became a Government.

Which makes me wonder why you would post tearing down someone based upon the fact you don't know what you are talking about?

And I am not interested in your explanation because your actions tell me all I would ever need to know about you.

Are you talking about the Mayflower compact?
Henry Hudson [Hudson River], English Settler who led first Pilgrims.

His Covenant was based upon his relationship with God and how Nations made Covenants with God based from the Bible.

Henry Hudson? God made a covenant with Hudson to form the United States? You've completely lost me. The only thing I've heard Jonathan Cahn say about Hudson was he discovered Manhattan.

Hudson made a Covenant. But they were followers of God who made their way to this land. And when they arrived they made this Covenant. Unlike many on this Forum, they believed what they read in the Bible and imitated what they read by applying it to their own lives. You know, how we are supposed to be...imitators of God, which can be found in the New Testament?

Anyway, they were the first people designated to come here, live here, and establish a foothold for the following generation until it became a Nation of its own.

What is a covenant ----Definition -----

A covenant is a relationship between two partners who make binding promises to each other and work together to reach a common goal. They're often accompanied by oaths, signs, and ceremonies. Covenants define obligations and commitments, but they are different from a contract because they are relational and personal.

So People can enter into a Covenant with God -----as God has already made His promises available to us ----and as long as you have the right Faith in God and have received His Son as your Lord and saviour you have every right to enter into a personal Covenant with God -----now when you make a Covenant with God if you break the Covenant you will reap the consequences ----

So when this says ---this is a binding Covenant that was made to God by A man of God for a Country ----which was America ------

America’s Covenant with God
http://1607covenant.com/americas-covenant-with-god/

In 1607, the expedition led by Pastor Robert Hunt arrived in Virginia Beach. When they arrived in Virginia, the expedition dedicated our country to the glory of God. They planted a rough-hewn wooden cross, which they brought from England, in the sand and prayed:
We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this Land, along with England, be Evangelist to the World. May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.

I say ----
Israel entered into a Covenant with God ------when they said they would keep the laws ----God did not initiate this Covenant -----the People did ------God just gave the Israelits what they wanted which was rules to follow and gave them Blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience ----

https://guardian.ng/sunday-magazine/prepare-to-enter-into-covenant-with-your-god/

Joshua chose to enter into covenant with God by taking a decision to serve the living God with his family, notwithstanding whether the entire Israelites decided otherwise. The Bible presents it thus in Joshua 24:15, And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua took a decision for his family to serve the Lord and God blessed him for that.

Nehemiah 10
Israel makes a Covenant with God -------
https://enduringword.com/bible-commentary/nehemiah-10/

B. The terms of the covenant.
1. (28-29) The making of the covenant with God.

Now the rest of the people; the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the Nethinim, and all those who had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the Law of God, their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding; these joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, and His ordinances and His statutes:

a. Now the rest of the people: The 84 people mentioned previously sealed the covenant, but the rest of the people – that is, everyone who had knowledge and understanding – also made the covenant with God.

b. Entered into a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law: In making the covenant, they agreed to accept a curse from God if they did not obey His Law. They accepted the curse as a form of His correction, to bring them back to obedience.

i. Many of us have done a similar thing. We probably didn’t pray “God, curse me if I disobey You.” But many of us have prayed, “Lord, whatever it takes I want to follow You. Whatever it takes I want to be Your man/woman.” That is essentially praying the same thing, and that is a good prayer.

c. Their wives, their sons, and their daughters, everyone who had knowledge and understanding: They made this covenant publicly; though its most significant meaning was between the individual and God, it was also important that other people be witness to the covenant. A public covenant meant accountability.

What a hubristic notion, that a man can make a covenant with God.
That a man can make a covenant on behalf of other people.
Show via scripture that mam can make a covenant with God.

You have a REPROBATE MIND!

Every Church property and personal property I have either owned or been a part of building we've walked the perimeter and placed Angels and gave the property to God in a Covenant that He is owner and Controller and we will honor Him in everything we do.

That's what Abraham, Isaac, Jacob did, Solomon did for the Temple, and many examples of building altars, wells, other things and dedicating the area to God.

These are basic concepts most Followers of God learn at a very young age.

And for you not being able to connect the dots speaks volumes to why you are on this Forum offering Your viewpoint when You clearly have no idea about the basics of our Father's dealing with Our God.

Dedicate this lamd that is not ours to dedicate. To reach the people with in these shores, but rather decimated and took their land for Jesus.
and to raise up Godly generations
Who will import and possess kidnapped peoples to this land against the specific command and law of God.

Which became the primary point of entry for stollen people. And rather than evangelize the people who already lived there instead began killing them.
