Something Christians can do to store treasures in heaven. Many of us get 2 for 1 coupons for fast food places in the mail. I'll get the coupons and use them for neighbors, family and friends. They get one and I get one. You never know you could make someone's day by giving them a burger or sandwich. Jesus said to let your light shine before men so they might glorify GOD. It doesn't have top be just for the homeless. Some people have not transportation to get to a fast food place. It makes for nice connection with others.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.....Matthew 5:16. Use a 2 for 1 or discount coupon and give someone a burger or sandwich.

I also keep warm clothes in my car as well as food and $$ and stop and minister to the homeless. The govt s/b focusing on giving them a helping hand.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth , where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is there will be your heart also.

John, thank you for your example. With all the filthy rich spiritual elitists out there lying to people, telling them they should be giving them their money them, it's very encouraging to hear from someone who knows what it's really all about.

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. Matt 24:12

Another reason to help the poor and those around you. Do not let the love in your grow cold. Doing these small works will keep the love going.
