1 Cor 2:14 is about the Gospel, its foolishness to the natural man

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1 Cor 1:18

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
 ... just because 1 Cor 2:14 and 1 Cor 1:18 contain the word "foolishness" does not mean the Gospel is the same as the mystery.

There is no claim in 1 Cor 1:18 that the preaching of the cross is not understood.

The preaching of the cross is understood and those who believe the Gospel to be foolish suppress the truth of the Gospel so it does not benefit them:

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Once a person believes, he/she is born again and begins to mature spiritually. As the believer continues to grow up in the Lord Jesus Christ, he/she becomes mature. It is the mature believers who are referred to as "perfect" in 1 Cor 2:6:

1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect [Greek teleios = mature; of full age] yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought

It is the mature believers Paul was able to teach concerning the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom:

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

What Paul taught the mature Corinthian believers was much more indepth than what Paul was able to teach the carnal believers at Corinth (Jesus Christ and Him crucified - 1 Cor 2:2).

You really need to stop trying to align Scripture to your dogma. You need to start reading Scripture with discernment if you want to understand the things of God ... or maybe you're content with not understanding the things of God (i.e. the difference between the Gospel and the mystery) ...

 if they are enemies, they are not reconciled.

I have shown you the meaning of the Greek words used for "enemies" (Gr. echthros) and "reconciled" (Gr. katallássō).

That you continue to alter the meanings of the words in order to manipulate Scripture to align with your erroneous dogma does not change the meanings of the words.

enemies is enemies (i.e. irreconcilable hostility).

reconciled is reconciled (i.e. two parties reconcile when coming ("changing") to the same position).

"they are born into the world enemies" = irreconcilable hostility.

Once a person is justified by faith (Rom 5:1), then he or she is "reconciled to God"..
You wonder on how can one be reconciled to God while being an enemie !
 oh brother!!! Now you're claiming to know my thoughts???

I don't "wonder" about the nonsense you spout. Scripture reveals your error ... and you reject the truth of Scripture in your desperate attempt to support your erroneous dogma.

1 Corinthians 1:18 does not mention the mystery, the hidden wisdom and, in fact, 1 Cor 1:18 corroborates what is written in Rom 1:16 (that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth).

For you to insist that the Gospel is the same as the hidden wisdom does not change the Gospel into the hidden wisdom.

The hidden wisdom was hid in God until He revealed the mystery to Paul.

Romans 16:25 tells us the mystery was kept secret since the world began:

Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began

Ephesians 3:4-5 tells us the mystery was not made known:

Ephesians 3:4-5 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit

Ephesians 3:9 tells us this mystery was hid in God from the beginning of the world:

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ

Colossians 1:26 tells us the mystery was hid from ages and from generations ... BUT NOW made known:

Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints

For you to continue to insist the Gospel is the mystery is foolishness on your part.

1 Cor 2:14 relates to the Gospel !
nope ... subject changes to the mystery the hidden wisdom at 1 Cor 2:6.

1 Corinthians 2:

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

You can reject the truth of Scripture, but your rejection does not change truth of Scripture ... the Gospel is the Gospel ... the hidden wisdom is the hidden wisdom.

No the subject never changes, Its about Christ and Him crucified throughout, Paul makes that clear here 1 Cor 2:1-6

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

The word howbeit is connective, it means and or moreover:

4. it is joined to terms which are repeated with a certain emphasis, and with such additions as tend to explain and establish them more exactly; in this use of the particle we may supply a suppressed negative clause [and give its force in English by inserting I say, and that, so then,
The objective was to bring about Faith, and joined to that objective, Paul explains further, we are speaking [Present active ]wisdom,

Now plainly Christ is that wisdom 1 Cor 1:23-24

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Barnes writes about wisdom in 1 Cor 2:6

We speak wisdom - We do not admit that we utter foolishness. We have spoken of the foolishness of preaching 1 Corinthians 1:21; and of the estimate in which it was held by the world 1 Corinthians 1:22-28; and of our own manner among you as not laying claim to human learning or eloquence; but we do not design to admit that we have been really speaking folly. We have been uttering that which is truly wise, but which is seen and understood to be such only by those who are qualified to judge - by those who may be denominated "perfect," that is, those who are suited by God to understand it. By "wisdom" here, the apostle means that system of truth which he had explained and defended - the plan of salvation by the cross of Christ.
Gill writes

Howbeit we speak wisdom,.... Though the wise philosophers among the Gentiles accounted the Gospel foolishness; and though the apostle, by an ironical concession, had called the ministry of it the foolishness of preaching, and the foolishness of God, and had thought best, for wise reasons, to deliver it in a plain and simple manner, without the embellishments of human wisdom; yet he vindicates it from the charge of folly: it was not folly, but wisdom, which he and his fellow ministers preached, and that of the highest kind, as appears from what follows. Though it was not esteemed so by all men, yet

The Gospel is hid to them that are lost ! 2 Cor 4:3

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

1 Cor 2:14 is about the Gospel, its hid to the natural man, because he is in a lost state and or condition. The word hid is in the perfect tense meaning is completed once and for all.

Notice how he speaks of ungodliness in the past tense ? He’s not saying feel free to keep living that way because of grace of you continue on in those epistles you find instruction that leads to repentance and right living fulfilling the promise of righteousness by faith

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge ( hearing and believing the gospel of the kingdom )
after the image of him that created him:

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:5-10, 12-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the instructions about repenting from our old sinful ways and doing the new things walking in the good works the gospel sets before us is part of it all.

you have made good post here , I think if you let the rest of those epistles into your belief it will change what “ grace and faith “ means into a powerful effectual changing of the sinner into a child of God in deed and truth

Amen ! Thank God for repentance and remission of sins by the blood and the word of Christ Jesus or we would have no hope of overcoming death at all

Yes I agree but would say we’re all capable of sinning , it’s not something we are enslaved to any longer in Christ we can repent now as he enables us through faith and us stepping out into faith

we are all tempted sometimes at our weakest points and we sometimes fail the test of faith and do wrong or we do something not realizing it and later we then realize “ I did something wrong towards or to another person I’ve sinned against the lord and one of his children so I need to deal with my Heavenly Father on the matter because of I don’t my conscience will be damaged and haunt me until I get it right with the lord and person if I’m able to do that

I’m saying It’s when we become conscious of a sin we have committed that we’re going to repent because it’s going to bother our heart and mind

The reason it’s going to bother us so much is we are truly changing over time as we press forward on our faith wherever we are currently knowing it’s a lifelong journey and we never stop growing and learning things from the word and spirit of God in seven decades I realize everything I don’t know more than the little I do know

press forward even if I’m not educated and strong yet I can still hear and believe his word where faith begins for many we have to know and believe little
Bits before we can hear and believe more and more

many christians find a birth right here that leads to a life twenty years from now they never deserved or really should have a close father and son relationship with God it all grows from that one little seed one little line of eternal truth and thrower belief spurs then towards that promise they want to live

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The natural man cannot understand the Gospel 1 Cor 2:14, for its foolishness to him, it cannot be spiritually discerned by the natural man, the natural man is in a condition of lostness, and unfortunately, the Gospel is being hid to them that are lost, resulting in unbelief. 2 Cor 4:3-4

1 Cor 2:14 speaks of the mystery, the hidden wisdom (1 Cor 2:7). You know this because I have explained it to you many times. However, you are free to suppress the truth in unrighteousness (Rom 1:18) because God allows you to make that choice.

I have explained to you that your rendering of 1 Cor 2:14 and 2 Cor 4:3-4 contradicts Scripture but you hold to your error and that, again, is your choice.

Because you conflate the Gospel with the mystery, the hidden wisdom you have error upon error.

conflate
to combine two or more separate things

Because of your ignorance of Scripture you are blown about by a wind of doctrine (Eph 4:14) and reject the truth. Have at it, brightfame52.

2 Cor 4:3-4 tells us it is satan ... not God ... who attempts to hide the gospel.

Scripture also tells us the mystery ...

was kept secret since the world began (Rom 16:25)

in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men (Eph 3:4-5)

hid from ages and from generations, but now made known (Col 1:26)

And according to Eph 3:9, the mystery from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God.

Since the mystery was hid in God from the beginning of the world, satan would have had no knowledge of it in order to hide it.

In addition, 1 Cor 2:8 tells us that if satan had known the mystery, he never would have crucified the Lord Jesus Christ

Again the natural man, the unregenerate cannot receive/know, understand the Gospel thats what 1 Cor 2:14 says

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Gospel as is the scriptures is inspired by God 2 Tim 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

So those who understand the scriptures, must be inspired by God, they must be spiritually discerned, so it is with the Gospel according to the scriptures 1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

nope ... as has been explained to you many times, 1 Cor 2:14 refers to the mystery, the hidden wisdom spoken of in 1 Cor 2:7.

you do not accept doctrine, reproof, or correction. I have shown you that 1 Cor 2:14 refers to the mystery, the hidden wisdom and you reject the truth.

Your understanding of 1 Cor 2:14 is "inspired" by your erroneous dogma.

You are not to align Scripture to your dogma. You are to align your dogma to Scripture and where you are in error, let go of the error.

1 Thessalonians 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

1 Cor 15:3

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
1 Corinthians 15:

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures

vs 3 - Paul received the Gospel.

vs 1 - whoever hears the Gospel must receive it. If the person who hears the Gospel rejects the Gospel, there is no benefit to him/her.

And the Gospel is more than how that Christ died for our sins. The Gospel includes and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day.

It is through the resurrection that the Lord Jesus Christ is declared to be the Son of God:

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead

Again the natural man cannot receive the Gospel with any spiritual understanding, its impossible since the Gospel must be Spiritually discerned 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
