I know I am new... But..., Time is short...
Has anyone considered what is written in Gen. 6:1-7? And Dan. 2:43? Would like to know what others my understand on this subject...
Daniel 2 is concerned with prophesy and verse 43 is not dealing with angels but a kingdom.
Concerning Genesis 6, angels don't have the ability to procreate. Even if they did, created being produce after their own kind.

Are you saying that this is not saying that angels mated with women and had offspring?

Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were in the earth in those days, and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown.

I'm saying species can only produce offspring of its own kind. Actually, I'm saying the Bible teaches that.
If it had said the sons of dogs came into the daughters of cats would you expect offspring?

Again you lack a correct biblical perspective and content in your posts.

Dogs do not mate with cats because they are not in rebellion to God's created order.

HOWEVER.....fallen angels AND fallen women WERE! The context here is inescapable. As are the specific Greek terms.
Altogether they mean only one thing. Fallen angels unlawfully mating with human women because of their evil lust.

Jde 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, G3613 he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Jde 1:7
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Evidently the Jude 1:6 angels took a downgrade (to satisfy their ungodly lust), while we Christians are gifted with an upgrade.

G3613 - oikētērion - Strong's Greek Lexicon (kjv) (blueletterbible.org)

The KJV translates Strong's G3613 in the following manner: house (1x), habitation (1x).
Outline of Biblical Usage [?]
  1. a dwelling place, habitation
    1. of the body as a dwelling place for the spirit
Jde 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, G3613 he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2Co 5:2
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house G3613 which is from heaven:

Where did the ability to procreate come from in angels? And even if they could, what makes you believe they can procreate with anything other than their kind?

You tell me. Regardless of the blanks not filled in, the incursion and incident did in fact occur.

The Bible is always correct. People's understanding, not so much.

I'm asking about this verse right here. It says " the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them: the same were the mighty men that were of old, the men of renown."

A statement of fact. Willingly ignored by many, as it is far too galling to the pretentions of the liberals.

Sons of God are human.

Sons of God are human.
Who are these humans that all their children were the mighty men of renown and what are "Nephilim" and was Goliath human? Also Jude 6 doesn't seem to make sense with that interpretation.

The proof is that they had offspring.
This is not an item of the faith, the fact that we have different interpretations with one another should not be a big issue.

Nephilim were the offspring.
Mighty men appear to have had heightened human qualities.
Goliath must have been from a line with some genetic factors for size or some condition that lead to enlargement.

You are hanging your entire interpretation on Genesis 1 but Genesis 1 doesn't say what you are trying to make it say. It says they brought forth after their kind. But Genesis 6 is about as clear as you can be that these offspring are not after their kind. Nephilim are not after the kind of humans. Goliath is not after the kind of humans. Og was 9 cubits tall, that is not human. So these offspring of the daughters of men were not after our kind.

Not just Genesis 1. Jesus said angels are not given in marriage.
