if a violent dog kills a human, and the owner knows the animal is violent the owner is liable for the death of a fellow human.
It is the very broad brush the op has used to describe a certain 'type' of dog that has myself and one other objecting.

ANY dog at any time in a particular situation can kill. This is all breeds. The actual pit bull breed was at one time one of the kindest animals to be found. Am Staffs are not pit bulls but it is reasonable to assume one could be dangerous. German Shepherds, among other breeds, have killed children.

There is always the danger of the pitchfork brigade willing to take on just about any cause in the name of justice. I would be careful of such things more than a dog.

as far as the title to the op goes:
God gave us guidance on killer pit bulls and their owners!
No He didn't. there is not one word in the Bible about pit bulls. And yes, I did see the reference to bulls and goring. It wasn't a carte blanche ordinance, but we do have laws on the books for dogs who maim, kill or even just bite.

I can understand the emotional women getting upset and misreading what I wrote, but come on men. I did NOT compare the example of the dogs to the thug! After my comment on man killing ox's and dogs, I wrote:

"Thinking about our society and the principals contained in God's laws, how would God have us handle this 17 year old, 6' 6", 270 pound thug called a "special needs student" a public high school?"

I wrote "principals", plural, moving on from the dog story to the account of the monster attacking the lady. I was not comparing the two.

Yet, when humans act like animals, I'll call them animals. Did no one actually watch the video of that thug?? Someone with that sort of "special needs" needs to be in a reform school setting, not a public high school.
I saw it several times. The entire school system is a travesty.

The comment on emotional women notwithstanding, perhaps you might note that God desires mercy before judgement. Personally, I have had a dog put down that attacked another dog with the intent to kill. My brothers children were playing with that very large dog and I had him put down because of those children. I put all emotions aside in such a case.

the term' Quit virtue signaling' sounds a lot like Stop Judging.
Although the terms could be used in ways that create overlap... they have different meanings.

* Judge means to assess or evaluate a thing.
* Virtue Signal refers to any broad range of claims or activities intended to display your own sense of self righteousness in a public way in order to gain approval... usually for something you don't really care about in the first place. It therefore indicates a pretense of some moral concern (virtue) where there actually is none... hence the term "virtue signal."

So, although they could certainly overlap at times, they are entirely different things.

I think she means over used, misused, and abused until it has no real meaning.

I can't address her presumed intentions; I can only address what she said.
So I pointed out the two terms have entirely different meanings.

Take Care.

Now i really understand they are very much alike. Some one is judging if some one else really cares about something. Moore liberal speech control.

I defined the terms, so other people reading would not feel dissuaded or constrained by your equivocations.

You are, of course, free to think, believe, or say whatever you like.

However, this is a debate forum.
So people are also free to disagree with you.

God Bless.

Thinking about our society and the principals contained in God's laws, how would God have us handle this 17 year old, 6' 6", 270 pound thug called a "special needs student" a public high school?
Sorry guys, I don't even see a person being compared/ called an animal.
What I do see is a misplaced statement that should not have been put in this thread. I also see the "implication" of the comparison others are saying, but our definition of an implication is actually a judgment call stating what we "think" he said.
I do think something should be done to a member intentionally stirring up strife with implications, if that's what this is.
In the end, others are psychologically inflamed to lash out. We should stay on guard to not be manipulated to anger & rage.
The bible says "be angry, but sin not."

Hold on a minute. You read this as it was actually written, without imposing outside influences, ideas and emotions upon it?
Is that even possible?

1 Corinthians 13:4Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

According to scripture, it's possible.

As the mama bear of a special needs child I wont even BEGIN to give my full 2 cents worth here, just going to give a lot less than that.
OP you are WAY out of line trying to compare the 2 stories.
aw, you're a wonderful mommy. ♥

just thought i'd mention two things... one of our sons in law (delightful young men, both of them) is a teacher.
he told me that he was labeled "special needs" when he was in school because he's dyslexic. so there appears to be a pretty wide range when it comes to the term.

the other thing is i've seen many, many news stories that never say the boy IS special needs, and in fact is being charged as an adult for assaulting the aide. i feel sure a prosecutor would be remiss to do this if there were serious extenuating circumstances. however, the whole story is not yet told, and i suppose time will tell.

I had already corrected my error in typing, if you had read back. I commented how that my error was probably why so many on here lacked reading comprehension concerning my OP!

I REPEAT, THE 17 YEAR OLD IS A THUG, AN ANIMAL

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The charge against a Florida high school student accused of attacking a teacher's aide over a video game have been upgraded to adult court where he now faces a felony, according to court records.

The 17-year-old male accused in the assault which left the woman unconscious, was charged with aggravated battery on a school board employee, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison.

Read the article, which includes his continued violence.

I'm not as confident in that. I've only watched the surveillance video and skimmed through the introduction of the article as I'm always mindful of nature of media to spin one way or another toward the writer's opinion, along with a reader's static interpretation thrown into the mix. It seemed the 17yo had the mentality of a 2yo contained in the body of a hulk. I'm not making excuses for him, just pointing out the reality of the possibility. There are certainly those that'd be fine with the OT treatment of justice if the OP isn't one of them. The Hebrews had no concept of prison in their outline of justice as I understand it. That system is of a Roman construct. I hope for the teacher's aide's complete recovery from this trauma but there isn't much hope for the 17yo, considering he's facing his only education being Advanced Thug Life is the only solution for his reformation is prison as, obviously, he doesn't possess the adequate cognitive fortitude to navigate through it all with much success.

Where is the video showing what took place in the classroom when this teachers aide took away the Nintendo?
How that situation was handled will hold a lot of clues and information.

As the Daily Mail reports, this is not the first time Depa has been arrested for alleged acts of violence. In 2019 alone he was taken in and charged with battery three times. The teen then completed a Department of Juvenile Justice program.

Depa is scheduled to appear for his arraignment on March 6.

Unless she physically assaulted the guy there is no excuse to brutallize her. Even if she did assault him, the is a such thing as appropriate force.

Saddly this fella was allowed to continue to brutalize folks before anything is done, and the wrong thing will be done. I despise our criminal justice system. Because "we arent under God's law", we can't learn anything from it, so we adopt a pagan model instead. This isnt wisdom. Prison does not work.
