I understand your point. I'm trying to tell you that what you think Calvin is saying is not what he is saying. He actually believed people are accountable for their sins. You are making assumptions about what he believed and extrapolating your own understanding to come to your conclusion.
Ok, then it's a good thing if he feels true guilt from his sins.

Oddly enough, rumor has it he still was part of having Armini killed.

I wonder if he felt same guilt as he did getting caught with another man in his embrace?

Again, his personal life isn't the issue for me. I'm just trying to show you that so much of what is debated as truth concerning certain people isn't even based in truth.

Please pay close attention to this from the Westminster Confession, which is simply a dodge. "God from all eternity, did, by the most wise and holy counsel of His own will, freely, and unchangeable ordain whatsoever comes to pass; yet so, as thereby neither is God the author of sin, nor is violence offered to the will of the creatures; nor is the liberty or contingency of second causes taken away, but rather established.

Another way of saying the above is that God decreed (predetermined, unchangeably ordained) everything that happens on earth, yet He cannot be held responsible for all the sin an evil. So how is that even possible? Does the Bible even suggest such a thing? There is a huge difference between God ALLOWING sin and evil to exist and God UNCHANGEABLY ORDAINING all the sin and evil. And we know that God allows sin, evil, wickedness, and iniquity for a season, but not forever.

It is a real shame that the Westminster Confession failed to present Bible Truth and Gospel Truth as found in the Bible. Had those men who compiled it refused to be swayed by Reformed Theology, every Christian could have given full consent to that document. People should also understand that (at least) the conservative Presbyterian churches expect their members to give full consent to the Westminster Confession. Possibly the Reformed Churches also. The liberal Presbyterians probably don't care one way or another.
You should also notice that freewill is unabated. God can ordain something and it still come to fruition through the choices man makes. Peter's sermon the day of Pentecost gives an example:
God foreordained Christ's death and men of their own volition killed Him.

I understand what you mean.

But I tend to research people to know what I should believe. And this argument has been around so long because it is up to date and current that I am not debating here. I clearly did my own homework.

But You are correct!

See how far we can take that conversation?
The very idea behind that sort of doctrine can be varied and leaves much room to have any absolute towards it.

Compare it to the Simple Gospel of Christ Message, you might as well be following the Law itself.

Agreed. The gospel is simple. People, however, are complicated.

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

The gift of God is that we are "saved through faith." The gift is not the faith to believe.

Correct. The faith in this verse, is not our faith, but is the faithfulness of Christ's willingness in going to the cross (Gal 2:16).

This is what I mean, by sticking to only the scriptures, and avoiding other mens writings about the scriptures.

No, it's our faith. We must choose to have faith in the gospel, faith in Christ.
It's something anyone can choose to believe.

Agreed!

But anyone can only choose to believe if they have been exposed to it. The exposing is where God is dealing with them to Believe.

You flip radio channels and stop at one where a recorded church service is taking place and you listen to it for 5 minutes before flipping channels again. That 5 minute exposure to someone who doesn't know God is becoming a seed. And it is God Himself planting the Seed. God has made contact.

Eventually, that Person will deal with thoughts about God. This is where they choose to seek more information about God or walk away.

But we only choose after God makes contact with us.

Now, I Believe God makes contact with every human being in one way or another.

I also Believe, God, if He so chooses, doesn't make contact with a specific human being that is His ability and Choice.

But, I don't believe it happens much if at all.
And if it happens, I would be interested in seeing who and what that person becomes in life. They must be a enemy to God and God is using them to rally His Followers. Be another example of Pharaoh who hardened his heart and God sealed the deal. Modern Day Hitler. Antichrist.

Hence the Great Commission. How people deliberately refuse to comprehend this is actually incomprehensible.

No, I listen to real honest true Testimonies from people and they tell me how they were doing this vacation and this happened and somehow that led to something else and eventually they met God. Which is the issue that bothered them most, because they were never believers in God. In fact, many call themselves [[educated people]].

So when I see the variety of ways that God works in connecting to people's lives, and I apply to what the Bible is saying what else is happening, the Holy Spirit gives me a personal understanding that how they explain connecting to God can be aligned with Scripture.

Because, we read what vaguely happens in a overshadowing moment.

But that is happening only during the moment God is filling a life who finds Christ and Accepts Him as Lord and Savior.

I am talking about something like the Burning Bush example.
It got Moses' attention. God made contact with Moses. God using multiple ways to get someone's attention.

That is flipping radio stations, or television stations, meeting people who are Believers, or an accident happens and an Angel is involved...so many possibilities here how God gets a lost soul's attention.

You clearly have never applied the Word of God into real life experience, testimonials, situations.

It's fascinating to see God working in lives who have no connections to Him and He just interrupts their lives and makes Himself known.

But you read your bulletin jargon and have no clue to anything happening beyond the measures of your own awareness.

I was friends with a guy who was a rugged alpha dog who mocked believers in Christ and yet he was happily married to a woman who believed in Jesus.

For 30 years she attended worship service every Sunday and always asked her husband if he would like to go and he said no. But one Sunday he said yes because he wanted to appease his wife and see once and for all what made her so happy and at peace.

So there he sat in worship as the Word was shared, and on that day, the seed was planted. He understood, he believed, he got it! Right there and then he wept with extreme remorse, then rejoiced as he felt God’s love and grace reign down upon him and felt God’s very real presence encompassing his very being.

He lived the last 15 years of his life working diligently by sharing the Word and serving as a church deacon. He’s now home with the Lord.

I have a Cousin who attends a couple of churches [attends 1 on Sunday and 2nd midweek] and has never missed any time except for the time he spent behind bars for a foul kind of crime no death involved.

He sits in Church and brings a notebook and lists date, time, Sermon Title, Scripture used, and the highlight points when a Preacher says, to those taking notes, this is one you should be jotting down.

But there's nothing in him that he's sorry for the type of crime he committed. It's like he's missing something between the lobes connected throughout his brain.

But I suspect one day God will awaken him as well. World would be better for it.
