In the way of business what do you think we should support with our God given monies ?

We say to each other All good things , blessing come form God . Does what we do with those blessings matter?
Do we support other Christian business? Do we justify supporting the ways of the world?
Save a few dollars and support Amazon, as an example?
We are many but we will not unite. Sure discussing differences on forums is a good time and some Biblical learning. But do, should, small fractions in our ranks define us against the world? Most of us have families we can bicker but truly love each other. Can we come together under His banner to face the world... Does OSAS, tongues, how or if to baptize, view point from either side come between your standing with a brother ,sister against the world. If it does should it?
How many remember the pain of junior hi and high school clicks .The isolation the disconnects ? How about the Baptist and the Pentecostals having a baseball game and get together . Sharing food drink and the LORD. I would not like it if my siblings all thought exactly as i do we should celebrate the differences . I fully understand some take the Lords name as their own in vain i am speaking to Christians , when we put Him first we should include His other kids.
I am suggesting we take the time to look as business and decide should i support this? What pushed me to post this thread was what i saw Budweiser is pushing a trans on the can..

Hey Beckie.
Yes it does matter what we do with what God gives us.

Some people would argue against tithing, but wants us to bring the first fruits of our labour's to the store house or give 10 percent of your income.

Money is a tool used to perform Gods work, first it pays for the maintenance of the church, but that money is also used to but tools and resources for you Sunday school, your music ministry, administration and office supplies, your churches academy, the soup kitchen, clothes closet, other ministries your church has to reach out to the local community and to missions.

Yes it matters in business as well, people used to have mom and pop businesses but for the sake of obtaining cheaper goods and so people start shopping at Walmart or other corporations and the mom and pop stores end up closing.

Now people are shopping online,. Your money is leaving the country, going to another country and it's killing local jobs in the community and sending them over seas. Because people are going online and killing demand for jobs where they live. That's where economics lay if their is no demand they have to create it, lay off people to balance the books with the losses or just close all together.

Yes you should support your fellow Christian Brothers and sister where possible. As for the trans beer, no one should be drinking alcohol in the first place.

Alcohol distorts brain function, affects motor skills and decision making. But no one makes good decisions when they are drunk. Plus long term destroys liver and kidney functions. You should research the effects of alcohol.

Canada spends $20 Billion a year on intoxicated offences.
Here are a few resources to help you out

Christian Hermitage Party of Canada
Chp.ca

Canadian Christian Business Federation
Ccfb.org

The Shepherds Guide
Shepherdsguide.ca

You can google them incase I got the sites wrong.

if someone is a Christian, & we all should be, 1st, i would ask God where i should donate. check out all entities to see if they are operating in an ungodly fashion. if they are, don't donate. i wouldn't donate to Amazon. who thinks they need it? i can't imagine a christian supporting Budweiser or any other alcohol business.

The devil pretty-much has all the rest...

I know that sometimes it becomes "the lesser of two (or many) evils" - you do what you have to do.

Obvious answer: Look to the Lord for guidance.

I buy stuff online sometimes - but, try to deal direct and not go through Amazon et al.

Hmm... This one was all over the map...

About the beer in particular, I don't drink it. It smells like horse pee. But I know a lot of Christians who do. Baptist and Catholic beer drinking is so common it is a stereotype for those denominations.

If you find a list of "Companies Christians should avoid" let me know. I bet it'll be a long one. Supporting LGBTQ is rather fashionable these days. Doritos made their rainbow chips, Disney has their "you shouldn't say anything bad about homosexuals" classes for employees, etc, etc, etc.

About different churches getting together, that happens all the time in my town. The methodist, pentecostal, baptist, presbyterian and etc. churches will have joint services for Easter sunrise service, Thanksgiving service, and once a year in late spring we all go out to the park for an outdoor service with food, singing and preaching.

Wonderful !
If we can get each community to do the same we would be showing a strong army in this war on Christianity

CNS (Central Nervous System) depressant versus CNS stimulant.

*shrug

What really gets you mixed up is when you drink energy beer. Beer with caffeine. Between the alcohol trying to depress your nervous system and the caffeine spurring your adrenal glands, I hear you can get messed up real fast.

That brings up a question though... I've seen commercials for "hard" lemonade (lemonade with alcohol in it) and "hard" almost every other kind of drink. Why have I never seen a commercial for "hard" cappuccino?
