Right. The Seventh Day Adventists went that route, and they have also added many false doctrines to their belief system. There is also a degree of elitism among the Sabbatarians -- just like the Pharisees who hedged sabbath-keeping with all kinds of regulations, but forgot the weightier matters of the Law. And then hated Christ for supposedly "breaking" the Sabbath law, since He deliberately chose to heal on Sabbath days.

So those who insist on Sabbath-keeping but forget to offer all those animal sacrifices are in deep trouble. It is all a part of the same package.

There is a lot the Bible admonishes us to Not Do on the Sabbath. My dilemma is what can we DO? I spend some time in prayer, some time reading the Word, and then I am stumped. I physically cannot sit around all day and end up just doing things (renovations on house etc) that are self-serving. What is acceptable to God on this day? What sort of things do YOU do to keep the Sabbath?
Mar 2:23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
Mar 2:24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
Mar 2:25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
Mar 2:26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
Mar 2:28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Luk 13:12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Luk 13:13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Luk 13:14 And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.
Luk 13:15 The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Luk 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Luk 13:17 And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

They could labor on the sabbath day if it had to do with providing their needs, or the needs of others, for we should do good every day of the week and love people.

But they could not labor to make a profit to benefit themselves, or did not have to do with their needs, or the needs of others.

I do not believe we have to go by the physical sabbath anymore because Jesus rose to be with the Father so it is spiritual now, and not physical.

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Heb 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Heb 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
Heb 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.
Heb 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

The Jews kept the physical sabbath holy because it was A physical covenant with physical blessings.

In the New Testament it is a spiritual covenant and the saints are strangers and pilgrims on Earth which Jesus went away to prepare a place for them which is a spiritual kingdom.

Which when a person receives the Spirit then the kingdom of God is within them, and they belong to the new Earth, the New Jerusalem.

So the saints keep a spiritual sabbath and not a physical sabbath because they are part of the spiritual Earth.

Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
Isa 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

When a person receives the Spirit it is their rest, and refreshing, yet some people would not hear but said keep the physical sabbath.

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Jesus took the physical ordinances of Israel out of the way nailing them to His cross for they were contrary to us because they could not provide spiritual salvation.

So let no person judge you by telling you to keep the physical ordinances of Israel.

The Bible says those are a shadow of things to come but the body is of Christ so when a person receives the Spirit then they are part of the body of Christ, and the shadow is gone and they go by a spiritual sabbath, and not a physical sabbath for the New Testament is a spiritual covenant.

Many of the 10 commandments are not repeated in the new testament but are readily accepted as a moral law.
Only Sabbath keeping is not presented/repeated as a commandment in the NT.

Do not worship any other gods (1 Corinthians 8:6; 1 Timothy 2:5). Do not make idols (1 John 5:21).
Do not misuse the name of the LORD (1 Timothy 6:1).
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit
adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

Peter reinforces the Sabbath when he tells his readers to be holy as God is holy (1 Peter 1:13-16). Peter’s
concept of holy conduct is based on Leviticus, which he quotes in 1 Peter 1:16. Leviticus 19:2 says, “Be
holy, for I the LORD [YHWH] am holy.” The very next verse in Leviticus explains what holy conduct
involves. It says, “Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep my
Sabbaths” (Leviticus 19:3)

The apostle James reinforces the Sabbath when he admonishes believers to be “doers of the word”
(James 1:22). Since James equates the “word” with “law” (James 1:25)—that is, the Torah—we can see
this as a direct instruction to Christians to obey the Torah, which includes the command to keep the
Sabbath.

There are many places that the New Testament exhorts us to keep God’s law or commandments
(Matthew 19:17; John 14:15, 21; 15:10; 1 Corinthians 7:19; 1 John 2:3-4; 3:22-24; 5:2-3; Revelation
14:12). It can be reasonably assumed that all the New Testament’s general exhortations to keep God’s
law or commandments include the command to keep the Sabbath. Why? Paul declares that “all
Scripture” is profitable for training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). When 2 Timothy was written, the
“New Testament” that we know today had not yet been canonized. So, when Paul speaks of “Scripture,”
he specifically has in mind what we call the Old Testament, or the Hebrew Scriptures. To the New
Testament authors, “Scripture” meant the Old Testament. That was their “Bible.” God’s
law/commandments would refer to those commandments in the Old Testament, which includes the
Sabbath. Therefore, the command to keep the Sabbath is included in these New Testament exhortations.

I see four major objections from the Christian's point of argument.

#1) I don't want to be bound by any physical laws/ie I want to be lawless.
#2) I love my Easter ham and pork chops. I don't want any restrictions. I want to be lawless.
#3) I love Christmas and the fat man in red flying in the sky to deliver gifts to all the good boys and girls and I love raising up a tree and decorating and adorning it. I don't want to hear how this and Easter are connected to paganism and how the LORD hates paganism. I want to be lawless. I want to be a worker of iniquity. I want to be told "I never knew you. Depart. You workers of iniquity/lawlesness.
#4) I don't give a **** what the Bible says about not mixing holy with unprofane. I want my Jesus and all the freedom I can get, because one day (soon) He is returning and I want to show Him, look I honestly and sincerely believed that the law was done away with, even though now, I know it was my sins and the debt that I owed that were taken away. But I want to believe it is both, the law and my sins are taken away and done away. (Right! That is why we live in a world of such turmoil. If we only could have trusted God and that His laws were for our benefit and are part of the renewed covenant, we would not be arguing or debating the merits of being lawful as the whole goes to **** in a hand basket.

You are dead wrong on that point.

The law was given to Israel only. God was in a covenant relationship with the Jews.

How about you explain the following.

Romans 11:25
For I do not want you, brothers and sisters, to be uninformed of this mystery so that you will not be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.

Jews and Gentiles are not cut from the same log. Jews have been grafted out and Gentiles have been grafted in.

Why would you think that there is no difference between Jew and Gentile?
inquisitor, there is something you must not forget, when there is a difference in scriptures, there is an order of importance as follows;
1-The word of GOD the HOLY father himself, through Moses and the prophets,
2- The words of Jesus the son of GOD as in the 4 first books of the new testament.
3-the rest of the bible.
you have to give the proper importance to each scripture in that order when there is a difference in opinion.
this I am certain of. You will not find any difference between 1 and 2. Most of what you have said in previous posts is not correct and does not follow this crucial order of importance.

Blessings,

do you believe honoring the Shabbat is Sacred enough, disobeying IT, can determine Salvation?

because Paul instructed us Gentile and Jew:
Colossians 2:
16 Therefore, do not let anyone pass judgment on you in matters of food or drink, or in respect to a festival or new moon or [[((Shabbat))]].
17 These are a foreshadowing of things to come, but the reality is Messiah.

notice these Verses:
Colossians 2:
16 Therefore, do not let anyone pass judgment on you in matters of food or drink, or in respect to a festival or new moon or [[((Shabbat))]].
17 These are a foreshadowing of things to come, but the reality is Messiah.

Verse 16 shows us that in the FUTURE PEOPLE WILL PASS JUDGEMENT ON THOSE WHO DO NOT HONOR SHABBAT!

Verse 17 verifies this will happen by prophesying it WILL HAPPEN in the FUTURE

does that mean Threads like this is an Example of these Verses being fulfilled?

being JUDGED for not honoring Shabbat?

One of the biggest lies I have seen is the doctrine of dispensations. Problem is they don't know the present dispensation.
Mal_3:7 Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Mal_3:18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Observing the Sabbath, Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is what I do. I love the LORD & His Yeshua so much that I look forward to the 7th day every week. I love to prepare for it. I love the knowledge and understanding I receive from participating with other Torah keepers. I love the blessings. It is not grievous. It is a joy. It is a date with my future husband who will rule the 7th millenium/the millenium of rest. I can not forget my Creator when your whole life circles around love for Him and showing Him love the way He asks to be loved. This is the fruit of that love for Him. He loved us first, and He loved us so much He died and resurrected to bring us back into covenant.

Did you get some kind of schooling? Did you hate it, having to prepare for a test? Or just having to show up for class? Did you hate the lectures on the topic? Did the studies prepare you for something in the future? Did those studies provide "blessings" in the future? Like maybe a good paying job or skills? Or do you hate your life and what has become of it? Did you get married and have children? Does your household have a "leader" and "house rules"? Do you have a territory that you claim as your space? Do you love anything? Does that love dictate how you treat that "thing"?

18 verses with "love" and "commandment".

1) Exodus 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

2) Deuteronomy 5:10 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

3) Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

4) Deuteronomy_11:1 Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway.

5) Deuteronomy 11:13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul,

6) Deuteronomy 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

7) Deuteronomy 19:9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

8) Deuteronomy 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

9) Joshua 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

10) Nehemiah 1:5 And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

11) Psalms 119:127 Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

12) Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

13) John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

14) John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

15) Joh_15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

16) 1John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

17) 1John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

18) 2John 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

Revelation 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

I don't know which gate I will be assigned to enter in by, but I do know this, it is one of the twelve tribes. I don't see a gate that is for rebellious and stiffnecked Christians who are lawless and disobedient and strive to live by the lie that the commandments have been done away with.

If you love God/LORD/YHWH...how will you live your life? The way that He tells you to or by the way that feels right to you?

The name of this thread is "How does a christian keep the sabbath holy?" If it can be done the other six days, then leave it for the other six days. No work, no buying and no selling. Leave those for the other 6 days. Once you get started, you may find that you really were not prepared and felt like a failure. Well don't give up now, you've got six more days to think about, study how others remember the sabbath, and how they prepare for it.
Mat 23:2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
Mat 23:3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do. But do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.

Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

I have an international zoom group (we are in a virtual world/but can be interpreted loosely and call it a synagogue). We go all day long, till the sun sets. I prepare my meals and snacks and drinks before this Sabbath zoom group. My house it tidy and clothes are washed and put away. There are no distractions of that kind., However, I do allow the cell phone and a game or two to play while I am listening. That might be a distraction for some of you. We only have a small goup between 50-60 attendees. It is a deep study, and you are free to comment or ask questions. Just raise your hand. We have pre-recording time of prayers and music. Sometimes the music is copyrighted, so we never play while recording. Within a few hours of closing the meeting, the recorded portion is posted on YouTube. If you think you would like to watch or come join in, private message me and I'll share the how, when and where.

3) Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

6) Deuteronomy 11:22 For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

12) Daniel 9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

The way that He tells you to or by the way that feels right to you?

why the Torah keeper?

as a real Student of Yahweh, keeping the Doctrine of the Prophets and Law from the Hebrew Scrolls, you should be a Tanakh Keeper. it's both the LAW and the Gospel of the Prophets that equal the coming Messiah, Yeshua!

the truest viewpoint of the entire Old Covenant.

Christ even told us that He is revealed in (a) the Torah (the Law of Moses), (b) Neviim (the Prophets), and (c) Ketuvim (the Psalms). The entire Tanakh -- consisting of 24 Hebrew books (39 of our OT books).

Luke 24:
44 Then He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you—everything written concerning Me in the Torah of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.

by saying Torah of Moses, Jesus, confirms the old question, did Moses really write the 5 Books of the Torah?

There is a lot the Bible admonishes us to Not Do on the Sabbath. My dilemma is what can we DO? I spend some time in prayer, some time reading the Word, and then I am stumped. I physically cannot sit around all day and end up just doing things (renovations on house etc) that are self-serving. What is acceptable to God on this day? What sort of things do YOU do to keep the Sabbath?
As a living temple via the Holy Spirit, I feel like every day is holy unto the Lord, as that which is holier than the Sabbath. And so, I feel no guilt for celebrating the Sabbath on Sunday. Of course, it is good to do good on the Sabbath as it is for every day.
Devotions with the Spirit in the Lord's word is good for the Sabbath as it is for every day. Devotions in prayer to the Lord is good for the Sabbath and for every other day too. It's a good thing to present my body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God which is my reasonable service as an eternal priest after the order of Melchisedek on the Sabbath. It is a good thing to give thanks and sing praises unto the Most High on the Sabbath and on every other day too.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things," especially on the Sabbath and every other day too!
This is how I do the Sabbath.

Why the Torah keeper? Why not? The WHOLE BIBLE (all 66 chapters are Torah). There are laws/commandments/statues/INSTRUCTIONS/illustrations/genealogy/history/and prophetic teachings/words, etc. The Bible is the LORD's love letter to His family. Some are Brides, and some are guests. Some are neither. There is a Wedding coming, for those who have accepted the Re-newed Covenant.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them (those who the LORD divorced/ten tribers/House of Israel and finding fault with the House of Judah/Judah/Benjamin/Levites), he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Mat_15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Deu_30:3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.

Mat_5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Deu 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
Deu 24:2 And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife.
Deu 24:3 And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;
Deu 24:4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the LORD: and thou shalt not cause the land to sin, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.

Jer 3:1 They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man's, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.

Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law (THE LAW OF DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE); so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law (THE LAW OF DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE) by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, , even to him who is raised from the dead,, even to him who is raised from the dead,, even to him who is raised from the dead, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Who died and raised from the dead? Yehovah/THE LORD/YHWH/Yeshua/Salvation

This is what a Saviour is!! My LORD and Saviour, came as Immanuel/God with us.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Joh 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Joh 3:20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Joh 3:21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

After the House of Israel was captured, they never returned to the LORD. They were scattered throughout the entire WORLD, forgot who they were and who the LORD is and Jesus said the end does not come until He has found that last lost sheep.

You dear reader, might be that last lost sheep that Jesus/Yeshua is searching for. Do you feel a strong tug to love the LORD? Do you want to draw close to Him and He draw close to you? He sent you a love letter. Paul called it a Mystery, but Paul figured it out, so there is no surprise that Satan has been deceiving the whole WORLD. But we are now the Last Days. The final last half of the final Jubilee cycle which will end 2044. He will cut the time short and come sooner than that date.

Remember the parable of the prodigal son? His Father was watching the road everyday, because he knew his son would return one day. How did that Father know that? What was Jesus telling you in this story? The older brother represents the House of Judah. They never left the Father's "laws". It was the House of Israel that was divorced, scattered throughout the whole WORLD, only to come to the realization that the pig pen is not their home, and that it is better to be a servant at the Father's House than to STARVE. i'm highlighting the word STARVE, because all around the world, waters are drying up. The crops are failing. Food storage facilities and manufacturers are going up in flames. Monster tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, wild fires, mud slides, floodking. We are in the birth pangs and it is YEHOVAH/THE LORD/YHWH that is doing this to the earth. YHWH is getting our attention. How much more will you wallow in your iniquities before you REPENT. Sin is the transgression of the LAW (See 1 John 3:4).

Jonah_3:9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Mat_3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat_4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mar_1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Mar_6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent.
Luk_13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Luk_13:5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Sin is the transgression of the LAW (See 1 John 3:4).

The Great Day of the Lord
Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Mal 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.
Mal 4:4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
Mal 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
Mal 4:6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Jer 18:15 Because my people hath forgotten me, they have burned incense to vanity, and they have caused them to stumble in their ways from the ancient paths, to walk in paths, in a way not cast up;
Jer 18:16 To make their land desolate, and a perpetual hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished, and wag his head.
Jer 18:17 I will scatter them as with an east wind before the enemy; I will shew them the back, and not the face, in the day of their calamity.

Jer_16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

The adversaries minions forcing people to get back under the law Christ came to free us from.
I can warn but I have zero power to make or force you. You and you alone are accountable.

The 10 commandments are part of the law and Jesus fulfilled all the requirements of the law so that those who believe in him would be justified from all things
Yes Jesus did keep the law perfectly because it is perfect righteousness in action.
Many think that because Jesus gives us the perfect righteousness by faith we can ignore the law and be lawless.

Because Jesus was perfect and wants to give us this as a gift does not make the law void.

If Jesus was able to do it in His life can He obey it in your life too? By the Spirit through faith He can and wants to.

1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

The only thing of value to God in this world is our hearts.
Our character are all we take from this world..

Why are you teaching cheap grace? Why are you saying the obedience doesn't matter and the law is gone?
These promote lawlessness and selfishness.

God does not change and His standards don't change.

Isa 56:6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; 7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

^ Jesus' words in Mark 10 ^
And the sabbath....
Which is mentioned more times then any other commandment, is there too.

Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Mat 12:8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Why would God put the Sabbath law in the middle of the 10 commandments and cause 9 to continue but 1 to be forgotten. Especially when the commandment starts with REMEMBER.
