No corporations in the millennium age?

Isaiah 65:21-22 "They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. "

Today, corporations are buying up homes and farm lands. They than rent out the homes and farm lands, keeping prices up. it appears in the millennium age this will not happen.

A lot of things will not happen in the millennium - because what Jesus sets up will be based on 'love' and not 'greed'.

I long for the day when mankind is no longer in charge.

It certainly does. Also that prophecy is specifically about Israel.
Having said that, I believe it does have a wider inclusion for mankind as a whole.

Prophecy often has a telescopic view, where the prophet peers through one event and sees a further fulfillment as well.
This is how Jesus appears in some of the same prophetic visions as both a sufffering servant and a victorious warrior king.

We are looking forward to his millennial reign during which time Satan is confined in prison and cannot deceive us.
At that time we will see unprecedented blessing on the earth for mankind. Although his reign precedes the new heaven & earth

Corporations were only created so men had limited liability from the problems they caused with their profiteering. If we had even a mediocre sense of justice, we would not permit corporations here on Earth, either.
