Chest Freezer

Praying for your freezer issues to be resolved. We went through this during the Covid lockdown. Our freezer died and to make matters worse nobody near us had any freezers in stock. They’re pretty much either built in China or built with China parts now.

We lost 50lbs of shrimp, two whole processed deer, and a whole hog. Made me sick to throw it out. We had an upright frost free 22 cu.ft. When our appliance store received a shipment two weeks after ours failed, all they had were chest freezers. So we bought a medium sized one.

The Lord has blessed us again. My son got three nice deer and one hog this past season. We had to buy another freezer so we got another 22cu. ft. upright frost free. Now we have two freezers full. I’ve since told my wife not to buy more than 5lbs. of shrimp at a time. We now have 10 lbs. frozen.

We live close to the coast so we can get fresh shrimp cheap.

We've often canned meat instead of freezing it, then it doesn't get hurt if the power goes out. But some cuts are better frozen.

Last month the Lord helped me find a part needed and made my big chest freezer work.

Now I discovered it isn't working again. My valuable food is thawing fast.. it's above freezing.
I left a message for an HVAC repairman. Still waiting for the response. Please pray that I can get it working again right away.

I will pray! Lord please help Mr. H&H to be able to fix his chest freezer soon! In Jesus' name Amen.

Couldn't you buy bagged ice until the repair can be made?

The freezer compressor quit running altogether yesterday evening.
The unit was getting power, but nothing was functioning at all.
I worked on it yesterday with no improvement.
After we prayed last night, it occurred to me that there's a part whose function is to only activate when manually defrosting. I disconnected that solenoid and plugged the freezer back in. It must have been the Lord helping me because it started working again!
I just checked when I woke up and the system is still working. It's cooling down.
