I’m new to Christianity. Have been going back and forth with it for a while. I lost my Dad over a year ago and he was my mom and dad. He always believed this life wasn’t the end. I’ve noticed myself anxiety ridden and depressed missing him. Then I get so scared to lose anyone else. I’m trying to come to peace with excepting death and Jesus. I just don’t know where to start. Because I’m not living life, I’m fearing it.

Welcome Sunsetskies so glad to have you joining the family here at CC😄 I want to remind you we all started at the beginning and have a long way to go. One thing for sure is that the spirit of fear is not of God, it opposes the trust we are to find in God's promises for us. They are all good and you should get familiar with them as I'm doing. God blesses us through His Word, that actually is Him speaking. Well enough here, lol, and please join in the other Forums with any questions and thoughts you'd like to share. Lastly, your dad would not want you to be anxious/depressed😍 God bless & keep you always🙏!

"I hope you come to learn the significance of a spiritual life, here in the now.
Thank God I have learned my spiritual journey of over two decades has been

a profound wake up, and I have learned there is peace to be, so long as I don't
get got up in the avalanche of worldly delusional mayhem."

Welcome, dear sister. This life is not the end. It is barely the beginning. It is necessary that we see how short this life is for all of us. The point of life is to prepare us for the real thing; the far greater thing on the other side. We are like butterflies in the chrysalis stage.

I know you are a Christian, but sometimes it helps to remember and refocus on the good news...

Mankind really messed things up for himself and all his descendants early on, but God provided a remedy...
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

His Son's name is Jesus. Jesus voluntarily came down to earth to make a Way for us to be cleansed from the poison of sin brought down to us through our ancestors. It was something only Jesus could do, and He did it because He loved us. Simply receive His free gift today. He will do the rest.
John 14:6
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Godspeed. (y)

Hello, let Jesus be your continuity. Once we receive Him into our hearts He will never leave nor forsake us.
