No Christians worship Trump. There do seem to be a lot of fan boys. And the reasons are obvious. Trump in his 4 years made life better in America for most Americans. He did this across the board. And for the first time in a long time, there was some real push back against the economic and cultural rot that had set in and has since returned. These people are easy for me to understand.
The people I don't understand are those who know that it is God who raises and lowers those in high positions who resist God in the choices He makes. Read in Isaiah about the response of the Jews to God's choice of Cyrus to deliver them from Babylon. To me, it's very similar to many Christians response to Trump.
I agree, Trump isn't the Christians' deliverer as much as a stand-with/for-er, defending our right to a voice just as much as the next so-called 'know-better-than-you-common-folk-ers,' which would obviously be that much more appreciated in any character considering the general trend to dismiss our voices for 'radical.'

You think Salvation rests with Trump or the Republican Party eh?
Good for you friend, good for you.

I usually pray for Peace so that God gives peace to all current political leaders in the world so the suffering in Ukraine or elsewhere ends and no more innocent blood is shed.

Then you need to pray for Trump. He promises to end it in no time. Ha! Got ya on that one!!

I think seeking God for a great awakening within the Church is possibly the first thing that we need to do. Of course, that doesn't mean that we neglect our own political involvement.

What alarmed me today is something I heard in a Charlie Kirk podcast dated May 25th(?): The DHS is looking to harass conservative groups (TPUSA, Dennis Prager, etc.), the RNC and Christians. I'm wondering why they think they'll skate through this with no consequences, if true.
I think some people think that since we are nice loving people, that were weak and stupid, just because we follow Jesus, does not mean I don't fight back,

I wonder if people said the same thing about Cyrus. They definitely said the same thing of Jesus.
It doesn't matter who God uses. It only matters that God moves.
I have no doubt that some, if not many, trust in Trump. But every Christian who loves justice should be crying out before the Lord for it. And it's only over when God says so.

I agree, ultimately, the focus should be the gospel. For what would it profit to win every election only to lose your own soul?
Priorities. Souls are eternal. Our politics are not. But... our government's a powerful institution, and it affects the lives of 330,000,000 million people. It will either enslave them or protect their freedom. It is important to be involved and to care. The Christian men and women who founded our society, and the pastors of the day who were with them, felt it was important enough to risk life and fortune for.

But, whoever puts government over God has made the government a god. That's for the pagan Leftist to do.

Same prayer for Biden, right?
You know, I do think we should pray for the salvation of our enemies. I will admit that in my anger I want to see them all slammed by God. But... if He was merciful to me, I ought to pray that He save those among our enemies who are destined to be so. This includes Biden to AOC to Newsom to Hochul to the communist professors to the antifa and BLM useful idiots to the neighbor next door voting for the Marxism and hating us.

As for the rest, may justice hit them, and may their names only be remembered in infamy and shame.

Not arguing with you! :D

But... we need to use discretion and wisdom for when and how to do so.

Yes, but it was kind of a comment based off of JLs comment

"I pray for his salvation and a change of heart for him to reflect Jesus and tone down the pride."

JL is Democrat, not sure if she voted for Biden, but my point kind of rests on her comment.

Posts like that reveal a non believer and/or backslidden.
Nothing in it lines up with Galatians 5 attributes of a genuine believer.(y):coffee::(

My mother and I prayed for two hours the other night. My husband said "how did you pray for two hours straight?!" I said "because once you start there is so much to pray about now days you can't stop."

Whilst Biden is in power, we should pray that he strives to do the will of our Lord. If Trump comes to power, we should make the same prayer for him too.
