That's super cool. Youre right, it's usually all about a "hook up." So sad, especially since a lot of men call themselves "Christian", which is usually a default religion as far as profiles are concerned. I've left it in the hands of the Lord and am waiting for His choice and have been celibate since not being married. He is my strength!
Trust me when I say that there were plenty of people of BOTH genders who are as you describe. The women were just as bad as the men.

Because of the feminists men have been beaten down too much. And the good men have walked away from the dating scene...leaving the "Chad and Tyrone" types out there for the "Karen and Tatiana" types to fuss over.

Good guys hang out with their friends...going to work and busying themselves with life.

Most guys (the kind that don't wear lace underwear or sit down to tinkle) have stopped going to church as it's overrun by women too. True scholarship isn't there anymore so the single guys left.

Finding a single man's man in regular attendance at church is like finding a mythical unicorn.

But they can be found at fishing holes, Barbecues, car shows, gun shows, and anyplace where the discovery Channel is playing as well as seasonal sports.

I used two Christian Dating apps. Here is the way they work. Women join for free or can pay for a basic membership, you can also pay for background checks and verification. But if you just have a free membership as a woman, any man with a paid membership can talk to you if you message him. It can be free for women but not for men. One Christian dating site still free for women, but I paid. I got a Human Matchmaker that accompanied me on dates. They also arrange travel overseas and do Paperwork. For me this cost $$$$$. Any man who isnt a creep(the dating sites are full creeps and scammers, both male and female use wisdom) will have a Diamond Membership it will show up on his profile. Some men have a "Verified Identity" badge on their profile. I have made a lot of friends on dating sites, I used it like a Chat Forum. I lead a lady in China to Salvation on one. Still saved today. Dating sites even "Christian Dating" sites have creeps just like Church and Life in General. Im no longer on dating sites as I met "The One" and we left the site. We continued chatting on Skype. We video chat every Sunday Evening here, Its tomorrow Morning in Thailand. Let the Guy pay. Sure He will pay for background checks, he may even hire a PI to check you out. You are worth it. Trust me there are a lot of good Christian men out there, having a hard time meeting "The One" in Church. On Dating sites you can block and report creeps. Dating sites can be free for women. But be careful.
I met my wife on a Christian dating site. Dating sites these days are just places to meet people. With the ease of communications these days, it isn't hard to verify who you are speaking to and finding background information. The key is spending enough time to see the person in a variety situations and get a feel for who they really are.
The biggest problem I see is people making commitments emotionally long before they know the other person. Go with the idea of making friends and leave the rest to God.
Online dating apps are exclusively meat markets...they are solely for romantic relationships....which often ends up in premarital sex. Both parties are trying to force a relationship where it should grow organically. Meaning that the relationship is not going to be very intimate on an intellectual and emotional level. It takes years to figure out who the other person is. And you actually have to care to know...history is telling but there's nothing like real life together long term.
Hmm... A and B directly contradict C. Which should we believe? Which should we believe? Think, think...

You ought to visit my church sometime. Apparently we've got a crap load of unicorns.

To be Honest, people have different results on Dating sites. I read a statistic on Dating sites that said most people quit them because it takes a long time to meet someone serious. I stayed with it for about 2 years off and on. When I met "The One" I was deleting my profile and giving up on the Idea. But something inside said, "Go Ahead Talk to Her" "One Last Time and be done with it" "Why Not". I got Blessed. Its very frustrating weeding out the Scammers and "Ho's"( Sorry I just didnt have a better word). Ghosting is very common.

I always prefer to meet a potential partner in person first
There are plenty of social gatherings provided by churches and Christian organizations where singles can meet

I think it can be a bit of a minefield

I dont think christian mingle has a great reputation. Also putting up a profile is like opening yourself up to scammers so just be warned. Its not a particularly safe way to meet others to mate or partner or whatever
and you might get indundated with offers to scam you lol

If you can handle that but be warned.

I wouldnt go to a car club unless I was into cars, though some women go to them to meet men so they can ride in their cars. I know one poster on this site got into a dates car and posted about that.

If you are serious go on a parenting website pehaps to meet potential dads. That way youd at least know that the guy is serious and not just out for a good time scamming you lol. Or hire a hubby, try one out first.

Actually dont go on a dating site, learn chess or join a chess club and play that instead.

lots of boys are into chess and Im sure they would challenge a girl if she wanted play. Its a two player game after all and you wont end up killing each other and its not expensive. Also it looks like fun and you can do it online.

Unfortunately I am no good at chess but I can play checkers.

This is funny to me...

I come from the Mr. Roger's Neighborhood generation....you can like anything outside of stereotypical norms. It doesn't mean that you are strange or weird. It most definitely doesn't affect your sexual preferences.

For you it just means that you like strategies, critical analysis and logical progressive thoughts. The whole "if-then" thought process.

If only we had more people doing that.
As it is people keep swallowing propaganda. Succumbing to stereotyping because of it. We had a guy that liked gardening last week who was worried about what that meant...as if his gender or sexual norms were wrong somehow.

People are getting brainwashed into the dumbest things lately.

? what

Gardening is for all
Men just prefer to call it 'landscaping' or maybe 'manscaping'

I was planting trees the other weekend and met a boy about seven years old, I kept him motivated digging holes by asking him if he'd found the gold yet. His sister who was a bit younger couldnt handle it and went home early - she didnt want to get her pink gumboots muddy.

When you focus on rose gardens or flowers people look at you funny as if you are homosexual or transgender.

Manscaping is the definition of hair removal around a guy's generals. Which is the ONLY thing I know about that topic.

why
that stupid. Gardening isnt just about flowers or roses.
Anyway the rose breeders Sam Mcgredy or David Austin probably would not say so, theres plenty of men in floriculture.
When I joined a gardening company it was mosty male and they actually needed more females. We planted traffic island beds which were pretty much all annual flowers as long as we didnt get run over we were fine.

People just seem quite ignorant and ready to label you as something when you are not.
But this is why we dont walk round naked staring at each others genitals all the time.

Yeah, getting run over could prove to be problematic.
