Mat 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Mat 19:24
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
Mat 19:25
When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, ***Who then can be saved?***
Mat 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, ***With men*** this (***BEING SAVED!***) is impossible; BUT with God all things are possible.

v. 24: the traditional and prevailing woks-based-religious view of salvation is false and it is impossible to be saved by the works of men.
v. 25: the disciples were held hostage to this error and need clarity from Jesus. They ask the right question re: salvation
v. 26: Jesus declares that it is impossible for the WORKS OF MEN to achieve salvation. Contrarily, it is God Himself Who makes salvation possible.

The bogus preachers and Churches have misapprehended these passages to the dire detriment and injury of the little flock for who knows how long. Money and possession of wealth or the lack thereof has nothing whatsoever to do with salvation one way or another. The ONLY matter of any relevance is belief and faith in the Savior.

Don't be a victim of the jive-talkers.

The question we must ask is "Why?" And Christ has given us the answer in the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus, as well as in the account of the Rich Young Ruler. Their wealth prevented them from putting the Kingdom of God first. At the same time Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus are examples of those who did not idolize wealth, but put it to good use. So it is not money that is the root of all evil, but THE LOVE OF MONEY which is the root of all evil. Wealth properly applied can be a blessing to many.

The matter at hand is not the supposed impediment of merely POSSESSING riches.
The TRUE impediment is that of foolishly trusting/putting faith in riches/self/works/the world and not trusting/putting faith/being obedient to a faithful God for this present life, promised salvation, and eternal fellowship/eternal blessedness.

Psa 52:7
Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

There we go. I think that just about sums up all we need to say on the matter.

Psa 49:6
They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;

Psa 62:10
Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

Mar 10:24
And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

1Ti 6:17
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
