And there we have it. Your inputs (or the lack thereof) all make sense now.

Just to let you know, Jesus held the Jews responsible for recognizing the time of his first coming. Which of course occurred precisely 173,880 days from the command of Artaxerxes Longimanus. And the urgent preaching of the greatest of all prophets (and the only prophet who was himself prophesied) was itself ignored.

Luk 19:44
And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Mat 11:14
“And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.

And you are telling me that we have no idea of God's timetable? Hhhhmmmm. Well then read this and get back to me.
Thats right.....the "7 times" judgement of Leviticus 26 is now over. Precisely 2520 years to the very day.

http://watchmanbiblestudy.com/BibleStudies/HIStoryOurFuture/Ezekiels430Days.html

Lev 26:18
‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
If end times is all you have to talk about then it's best we just stop here. Go ahead and have the last word, you know you want to.

This is a topic that requires vast quantities of due diligence. Far too great a volume for a mere message board.
Let's just say that after my own scrutiny, I have reached certain conclusions, only a very few of which I have espoused on this thread.

But anyone would do well to very carefully consider what I have posted about the Masoretic. The lack of any kind of cogent response is shall we say.....concerning. The facts are quite indisputable.
That is the whole idea. Study the facts, listen to both sides, compare the claims with facts, examine the languages for yourself, pray, listen to the Spirit, and I believe that those who shed off preheld biases and who are generally looking for truth will come away with the fact that God is still preserving and protecting the accuracy of His Word today.

You are trying to make Bible study an exercise in futility. The only principle to apply is the K.I.S.S. principle. And no one will she their biases.

"Unicorn" in the KJV likely refers to the animal we know today as the rhino... Linnean name "Rhinoceros unicornis". ;)
Just consider this also 😋

#TBT: Prehistoric Remains Thought to Be Those of an Actual ‘Unicorn’

The myth is real.

The remains, which were discovered just last month at an archeological site outside of Pyramid Lake in western Nevada, appear to be those of a smaller member of the Equidae family exhibiting a formerly unheard of two toes and bony protrusion on the central cranial plate. Scientists are speculating that this may in fact be the actual remains of the animal responsible for the myth of the Unicorn.

Hebrews 5:12-14
King James Version

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

Babes need simplicity but to be teachers they must seek after the meat. Then a skillful teacher can walk the babes from simplicity into the ability to teach. Discipleship 101. The babes use milk because they are unskilful with the Word of righteousness.

An average pastor spends hours to days studying and preparing for a sermon. A sermon that often in the study phase has enough meat for pages worth of material but the pastor has the skillful task to simplify it down for the masses. He can only come to this point by knowing how to study in-depth.

KISS works great for the hearers of sermons but not for the one who wants to prepare the sermon. We often see mistakes or fallacies behind the pulpit because the pastor did not go deep enough.

I will agree though, my OP material would not be a sermon. It would be something of a one on one study or small group study.

If end times is all you have to talk about then it's best we just stop here. Go ahead and have the last word, you know you want to.
Let Jesus Himself do the talking and let Him have the last word:

Mat 25:24
“Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.
Mat 25:25
‘And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
Mat 25:26
“But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
Mat 25:27
‘So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest.
Mat 25:28
‘Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
Mat 25:29
‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.
Mat 25:30
‘And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Just to let you know, the gist of this parable is that the wicked servant did NOT believe that the Lord was telling the truth (so declared in His Word), did NOT believe that the Lord was soon coming, did NOT believe that his duty was to preach the gospel of salvation to the world so that souls should be saved, but DID believe that the Lord was evil, a liar, untrustworthy, faithless, and concluded that this Person did not warrant the dignity due Him by heeding His command for service.

Sound familiar?

The LAST thing you want to do is pay merely lip service to Christ. It ain't gonna work.

You can make the claim but you must prove that the ESV scholars are a fraud for that to hold any weight.

Also many of the Biblical archeologists are Jews and not Christians. Does that automatically mean their research on an item is fraudulent?

Or is this quote fraudulent?

"With respect to Jesus, we have numerous, independent accounts of his life in the sources lying behind the Gospels (and the writings of Paul) - sources that originated in Jesus' native tongue Aramaic and that can be dated to within just a year or two of his life (before the religion moved to convert pagans in droves). Historical sources like that are pretty astounding for an ancient figure of any kind. [...] the claim that Jesus was simply made up falters on every ground." — Bart Ehrman is an agnostic scholar whose writings frequently attack Christianity and its truth claims.

My point is, you have to examine the facts. If a translated word doesn't fit the original Hebrew or Greek then it should be changed.

For example if a word is gender neutral then it would be less accurate to use men or man for gender-neutral words.
Bart Ehrman is some bad medicine. And you have just proved my point. That seminary professors in high office everywhere are abjectly unbelieving and doubtless unregenerate. And concomitantly teaching devastating heresies.

I mean, what worse heresy is there than proclaiming the fact of Jesus existence, yet stripping Him of all vestiges of deity, omniscience and omnipotence, denying the virgin birth and resurrection, and making the Scriptures out to be brazen Israelite propaganda?

Just to let you know, I read thru Romans 3 & 4 in my car while waiting for my wife. This was in the ESV, which I had download on my phone as it was free. Frankly it was a very easy read, great pacing and flow, with nothing at all that I could perceive as the least bit objectionable.

So yea, I am definitely NOT some kind of KJV only freak. Not in the least. ESV is entirely serviceable......up to a certain limit. And there ARE INDEED limitations and issues. Goes without saying. As do the rest of the translations.

And anyone else so inclined to listen. You never know, maybe something is going to eventually sink in. Or at the very least set off some alarm bells. That would be good too.

And they were greatly astonished, saying among themselves, “Who then can be saved?”
Mar 10:27
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”

here's the kjv:
Numbers 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

but the Hebrew says:
22 God has brought them out of Egypt with the strength of His loftiness. כבאֵ֖ל מֽוֹצִיאָ֣ם מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם כְּתֽוֹעֲפֹ֥ת רְאֵ֖ם לֽוֹ:

clearly, the kjv, has no idea what the difference between a UNICORN and LOFTINESS [Superior Power]

so, clearly, the kjv, is using a Mythical Creature to show how strong God is.

like i said, i have known about this for a long time and much of why i only use the kjv as Reference Only!

and there's 7 times the kjv uses Unicorn.

and the Hebrew says nothing about animal strength being compared to the Power of God.

And as a closing argument, all me to post the following. Keeping in mind that the "wise" will know the signs of the times.

Russia, Africa, perhaps Turkey and Iran. Are you watching the headlines bro? It is all going down buddy. Right now. Today.

Eze 38:1
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
Eze 38:2
Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Eze 38:3
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
Eze 38:4
And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Eze 38:5
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Eze 38:6
Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

it makes me wonder, sometimes, about "some" of the Ancient People's, who looked at an animal and said to themselves, Wow, that is the Power of God.

i look at animals and say, they aren't even capable of making a dent in the Universe, and God's Power is sustaining the Universe by His Holy Word, alone.

so, even if we used something like an atomic bomb, nuke bomb, bunker bomb, that destroys en entire nation, it still don't make a single dent to the Universe.

and God, He can Speak and the Universe just disappears and is gone.

and if God does not Return for another 100 years, there will be things Greater in power than Bombs. but they still are not able to make a single dent in the Universe.

so, even if i said, God's power is possibly right up there with a Trillion Nuke Bombs that would destroy Planet Earth to dirt and rubble.
i still know, that God is still more than Trillion times Trillion times Trillion times Trillion times Trillion to infinity of the power capability of nuke bombs.

but to ancient people, a flying horse, with one horn, probably seemed like real power.

i think it's more of a case of having a heart like God.

God said the same thing about David, he said here is a man after my own heart.

Perhaps the heart of lion courageous strong and protecting the pride is also a reason

But then there's this

Hosea 5:14

14 For I will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a great lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces and go away; I will carry them off, with no one to rescue them.

But then there's the holy spirit being referred to as a dove to is that the free spirit part I wonder ?

That is nothing more than Ehrman seducing preamble before he lays on the heresies. You do NOT want to be in that guy's orbit. At all.

Wake up bro. Yea.....he is that bad. And so is the predicament of the seminaries.

Good Stuff!

even though God can do these things in terms of how animals are designed with their capabilities, God, is still so much more.

God, has to be Greater than a Lion, Unicorn, Whale, Dinosaur, because God made those things. He is their Creator. So, He's always more Powerful than what He creates.

I'm not advocating for him. I am using him as an example. Meaning by his quote we can say those words are true. Why? Because they are factual. His other opinions have been proven false by many others.

So the conclusion is despite the personal beliefs of those who promote one manuscript over another we should judge on the facts and the truth of their research.

Quoting Apostate Ehrman is asking for trouble. 'Whenever I read an Ehrman book, déjà vu kicks in. His core message is always: “Christians are dead wrong; I know because I used to be one before I became enlightened.Sure, another minion of Satan.
