What are you saying? Are you telling us to ignore the Lord's command to watch?
wow nice holyJUKE there. Well played. Stuck the landing.

I’m saying let’s not be so sure and confident. We could be just another of hundreds of generations who have been wrong too.

And what about the video in Post #70? Did you see it?
I watched the first bit, but again, I don't see this UN world agreement relating to Daniel's prophecy. In context, Gabriel was revealing to Daniel the number of weeks and specifics of Israel's punishment for their sins and disobedience. So, this covenant is with Israel.

At the rate the world is devolving into mass transgressions, it cannot go on much longer. The man of sin is at the door.

Daniel 8
[23] And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

We’re not the only generation to see those verses and see their times in them.

The arrogance of our generation, and obviously others is stunning.
We’ may be yet another generation to not learn the lesson.

No other generation could have preached the Gospel to the whole world, which is one of numerous signs that Jesus gave regarding the end. With the advent of radio, TV, satellite, internet, WiFi and now smart devices within the last approximately 120 years, the Gospel is reaching into unreachable areas that could not have been reached a generation ago. Coupled with all the other signs that are converging in our day and age, the end is here.

Matthew 24
[14] And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

My dad was in Pearl Harbor when the Japanese bombed it. He was 12. There was a radar man who warned of the fleet of Japanese bombers coming to the island 50 minutes before they arrived. That was plenty of time to get every plane off the ground so they wouldn't be destroyed and could help defend from the attack, it was also enough time for the destroyers to get out of the harbor and have every gun manned. Had they sounded that warning the War with Japan might have ended on that day. It is possible they would have lost their entire air force, and their aircraft carriers and the US Navy would have been only slightly bruised.

However, the officer on charge was afraid that if he gave a false alarm he would look bad and maybe they would make fun of him.

Is this what you mean? Let's not sound the warning because we might be wrong?

Ironically Ukraine had the chance to join NATO some years ago but dragged their feet.
If they had joined NATO, Putin wouldn't have dared invaded for fear of triggering WW3..:)

PS- and even if a NATO member is invaded, there's no guarantee other NATO countries would come to their aid; that was proven when Argentina invaded the Falklands, but America and other NATO "allies" left NATO member Britain to go it alone.
The Ukraine also was promised that if they gave up their nukes they would be protected against this type of aggression from Russia. So much for that promise.

I was less wed to that doctrine than you are. I have been studying this for more than 40 years and have been most impressed with how many theories have been disproven.

For example, there is no verse that says the tribulation is seven years. The seventieth week is seven years and you can count the months of Antichrist and others and come up with seven years, but it is far more Biblical to say that the tribulation was the entire church age than just those seven years.

Another theory is that the White horse of the apocalypse refers to Antichrist. A very strong and compelling case can be made for the sixth seal being the pre tribulation rapture and that the seals were opened by the Lord, not by Antichrist, right after the Lord was crucified and not two thousand years later. This is what Paul says in Ephesians.

Another theory that just got popped was that the 144,000 are sealed after the sixth seal is opened. On the contrary there seems to be a direct relation between the Lord's word about everyone is oblivious to what is coming until Noah enters the ark and the flood comes and destroys them all with what Paul said about the restrainer stepping aside and then the man of lawlessness being revealed with the 144,000. There was a command to the angels given the power to harm earth and sea that they were restrained from doing so until the 144,000 are all sealed. That tells me they are sealed before the rapture, before the restrainer steps aside.

Now let's examine this theory about a peace treaty for seven years.

Daniel 9:27 He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”

If this covenant is a peace treaty with Israel allowing them to rebuild the temple and worship the Lord, then why wouldn't this say "in the middle of the 'seven' he will break the covenant"?

One reason for Putins invasion was to protect Ukraine and Russia from the creeping immorality, corruption, perversion, decadence and satanic encroachment of NATO countries, so maybe he's got a point?..;)

Sorry, I thought somebody mentioned Ukraine earlier, in this thread or perhaps it was in another thread..:)
They did, I ignored it because I thought that it was an accident, but at this point I felt it had to stop.

I am not certain of how your question relates to the covenant. From what I am interpreting from Daniel 9:27, the anti-christ will confirm a covenant with many for seven years that will directly involve Israel. In the middle of those seven years, the anti-christ will bring about the abomination of desolation. The covenant is with Israel, not a general agreement for sustaining the planet.

If the covenant was a peace treaty so that Israel could rebuild the temple and begin the OT worship (the context of Daniel seems to imply that) then instead of saying that he causes the oblation to cease it seems it would say that he breaks the covenant.

However, setting himself up in the temple and causing the oblation to cease is not "breaking the covenant" so that was not the covenant.

The Scripture doesn't indicate that the covenant will or will not be broken. It simply states that in the middle of the seven-year covenant the anti-christ will cause the oblation to cease. It doesn't even mention the temple, though it surely must be in existence. You may be trying to overthink it.

Or you are under thinking it.

Antichrist is a counterfeit to Jesus Christ. Jesus started His ministry by proclaiming the year of Jubilee, His ministry was there to pay the price of sin and forgive everyone's debt. That is how Jesus began His ministry by confirming and strengthening the covenant we had with God.

I expect Antichrist will be a counterfeit of this. The rapture takes place before the tribulation starts and when the manchild goes up the fallen angels are kicked out and come down to Earth. Babylon the Great (the US) is destroyed in a single hour. The merchants of the world stand afar off and weep. The world's economy is shattered. 35 trillion worth of US debt is now worthless. As a result everyone is broke. The US is one of the biggest producers and exporters of food. Removing that along with the Black sea being shut down, grain in Ukraine destroyed and India banning exports of rice and the rest of the world begins to starve with the black horse of famine. So what does Antichrist do? He proclaims the jubilee, all debts are forgiven, and instead all countries must accept one single digital currency for seven years until they can get the situation to normalize. Every single country that wants to import food will accept, as a result every single country that wants to export food will also accept. This is exactly what they are planning for Agenda 2030, only without the catastrophic collapse of the US. They want to institute a CBDC for seven years that they can control what people buy or sell to help control climate change.

In the past the US exported more than they imported but over the past 10 or so years the heartland is in a drought and we have imported more than we export(look at the Agg reports)...

There is no doubt we import a whole lot, bananas, coffee, etc. But the US is still a very big component of the export market for food.

Is that the voice of the "Koch pledge" that the AFP has everyone signing?
