1 John 3:17 "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" I have seen this happen many times in church. Someone has a desperate need and Christians say things like "GOD want you to know you have to depend on him" or "GOD is just testing you to see if you will trust him" The Christian will not lift a finger to help the person. They are all words and no actions.
Telling a person in need that you'll pray for them is rather lame if you have the means to help them.

Interesting, these people are going to hell, not for the sin in their lives, but because they refused to help others, even just a little. This really needs to be preached in churches.

The Goats ---unbelievers ---are going to hell for Rejecting Jesus ------who paid their sin debt in full-----

42 For I was hungry, and you didn’t feed me. I was thirsty, and you didn’t give me a drink. 43 I was a stranger, and you didn’t invite me into your home. I was naked, and you didn’t give me clothing. I was sick and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’
45 “And he will answer, ‘I tell you the truth, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’
46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”

Interesting, these people are going to hell, not for the sin in their lives, but because they refused to help others, even just a little. This really needs to be preached in churches.
Absolutely, brother.

I’m sure people have their reasons. I feel like you are mislead here. Not all are able to help. It also has to be read in the light of the scripture below . Jesus doesn't make this a heavy or tedious thing to make a laundry list of obligations to do in fear but we are assured even the smallest act of kindness towards others, even a simple drink ensures our rewards will not be lost. We serve a merciful, compassionate and loving God who doesn't expect heavy or I’ll fitting work from us.

“Truly I tell you, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to the Messiah will certainly not lose their reward.”

The Bible says having food and clothing be content.

God does not bless a saint with their wants, but only their needs because He loves people.

The early Church sold all they had that was not a necessity and the disciples distributed the money to those that had need.

Paul said he did not covet anybody's gold or silver but only ministered unto his needs.

God said those that are rich should distribute their money to the poor.

A lot of people claiming Christianity do not want to help people because they want to enjoy themselves like the world in the money and material department which they love to hear the prosperity Gospel.

But God said some people believe godliness in gain from such withdraw yourselves.

Out of faith, hope, and charity, love in action, charity is the greatest.

Charity is greater than faith, and faith works by love.

Paul said if he did not have charity he is nothing.

And if a person does not have charity they have erred from the faith.

James said if they do not have charity then their faith is dead.

John said if they do not have charity then the love of God does not dwell in them.

So do not love in word, nor in tongue, but in deeds, works, and in truth.

"God does not bless a saint with their wants, but only their needs because He loves people. ".....do you need 2 legs or want 2 legs? Maybe GOD should take one or both of your legs, since legs are a want.

How many Christians are all words and no actions?
Many.
Just because they go to church doesn't mean they're saved.

Some are full of good works due to their wealth, but still don't do so in faith.
There's a lot of 'good ole boys' that would give you the shirts off their backs without using an ounce of faith.
Some churches throw money at all the needs thinking that is enough.
So, some are all actions with no faith.

So I'm assuming after hearing about their hardships YOU went out and helped them.

Awesome job!

Many years ago when I was involved in a church singles group, they had a pot luck once a month. One time I missed it, I was doing something else in the church that night. After the study I went into the fellowship hall after the singles singles group ended. The singles pastor was very upset and berating the group over the pot luck. He told the group he watched as people came in and few brought in any food. He said, most of you men brought nothing. You only came in here to eat. The pastor noticed me walking in and said, "John this is not about you. I know you bring in great food" I would go out to a sandwich shop and buy a couple of 3 ft sandwiches. I wanted to make sure I had something nice to eat too. It was very embarrassing to see Christians showing up with little to nothing. Paul had an issue with this too and wrote about it. I guess things have not changed in 2000 years.

"
So, my friends, when you come together to the Lord’s Table, be reverent and courteous with one another. If you’re so hungry that you can’t wait to be served, go home and get a sandwich. But by no means risk turning this Meal into an eating and drinking binge or a family squabble. It is a spiritual meal—a love feast. 1 Corin 11: 33 -34

This sounds like THIS parable:

The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 Also He spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ 13 And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be [d]humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

I keep a cooler in my car, with drinks and snacks for any homeless I see. I took in one of my brother's and one of my sister's when they were about to be homeless. Unfortunately when they got their pensions, and benefits, they squandered them and refused to lift a finger to help me when I needed the help.

I know, some churches use the tithes for expanding the church property or one I know, opened a Starbucks on the church property. Another church I know offered a grocery shopping service for seniors. You had to pay for the groceries, but you also had to pay a fee for church members to do the shopping for you. They were making money off of this.

In my experience most people want a religion where they can continue to do all the exact same things as the rest of the world while felling they are on their way to heaven, and my experience with churches is that they only help or want you around if you follow their exact flavor of doctrine, even if it's different than what the word says. I feel there are many out there in truth and in a truly spiritual walk, but it seems to be a smaller number.

So you are complaining about those you don't see doing "Good Deeds", and proclaiming the good deeds YOU are doing.

Maybe this passage of Scripture will do you some good:

Matthew 6
New King James Version

Do Good to Please God
6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.

so you would not warn others of this?
I would not judge. its not my place.

I also do not go around trying to be a fruit inspector to see if people are saved or not

And I refuse to puff myself thinking I am all that.. My mind is focused on the lost.. Not self..

actually. In my 40 years of church going. I have never met anyone like that.. Well maybe a few. but they ended up walking away anyway.. so its easy to understand why they never wanted to do anything..

but you just did judge by saying "they ended up walking away anyway.. so its easy to understand why they never wanted to do anything"

who knows what someone does after they leave a brick building, maybe they fall away or maybe they find more tuth and a better path.

yet the bible does just that. What does it tell you if see and brother in need and do nothing? The love of GOD is not in you.

I am encouraging others to do the same, keep a cooler in your car with snacks and drinks to help others. GOD rewards those actions. I guess you don't want people to help others.
