Paul saw the ten commandments as part of the "ministry of death."

I’ll just end with this for my own part this is not the right word for us

“But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:7-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is our word

“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
‭‭John‬ ‭8:31-32‭KJV‬‬

Moses word isnt for us because he never mediated a covenant relationship between God and us Jesus did that ….Moses never she’d his blood for our sins , Jesus did that , moses never promised eternal life Jesus did rhat , moses instructed sinners to be put to death and offered no law stating “ if the sinner repents show him mercy “

This isn’t the right word for a Christian Some people refuse to hear it though read carefully through just this scripture if nothing else and take time to consider what Paul’s actually saying and see if you can agree or you would tell Paul he needs to consider some different things Toni veterans what he’s teaching there ?

“For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions,

till the seed should come to whom the promise was made;

and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. ( I don’t think your believing this is true what he’s sayin go about the laws ordination and mediation )

Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. ( there is no written law to give life ) But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, ( you and me too ) that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. ( first came the law then the gospel ) Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:10-12, 19, 21-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When you come to Jesus he becomes your lord and lawgiver your not bound to Moses because he didn’t save you like he did those he gave the law to

Jesus saved you your bound to his word by his blood not Moses word and animal blood that was only a earthly pattern
I have said over and over we have a new priest.

Hebrews 7:23-25, " 23 And indeed, those that became priests were many, because they were prevented by death from continuing, 24 but He, because He remains forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Therefore He is also able to save completely those who draw near to Elohim through Him, ever living to make intercession for them.

That does not mean we are not supposed to follow His Commands...

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding (G5083) the Commands (G1785) of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Matt 24:12, “And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold.”

“iniquity” is word #G458 ἀνομία anomia (a-no-miy'-a) n.,1. illegality, i.e. violation of law., 2. (genitive case) wickedness., [from G459], KJV: iniquity, X transgress(-ion of) the law, unrighteousness, Root(s): G459

Mat 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

Mat 5:18, "For truly I say to you; Unless heaven and earth passes away, one yodh – the smallest of the letters – will in no way pass from the Law, until all things are perfected."

Luke 16:16-17, "The Law and the Prophets were until John, since that time the Kingdom of YHWH is preached, and every man is pressed to enter it. But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one yodh of the Law to fail.”

Matthew 23:8-9, “But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher (#G1320 didaskalos), and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father G3962 patér), who is in heaven.”

1 Corinthians 4:15-16, “You may have 10,000 mentors who work for the Messiah, but not many fathers (G3962 patér). For in the Messiah Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel. So I urge you to imitate me.”

John 6:63, “It is the Spirit that gives life, the flesh does not profit at all. The words that I speak to you are Spirit and are life.”

Yeah we are not in the times of Moseh under the levitical priesthood..

Malachi 4:1-6, "“For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings. “See, I am sending you Ěliyah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה. “And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with utter destruction.”

Yet the Instruction (Law/Torah) is not gone.

Do not murder is still valid

Do not steal is still valid

etc, etc, etc, etc, etc

Hebrews 7:23-25, " 23 The former priests were many in number, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office, 24 but he holds his priesthood permanently, because he continues forever. 25 Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of יהוה and the belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

Mat 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is the (intent of the) Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

1 Corinthians 10:23-24, " 23 “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. 24 Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.

Matt 13:41-43, “The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.”

The OP has brought up a very important point. Christians have been brought up believing we are tasked to relate to God on the basis of the law. We have been told if we love Jesus we will keep His commandments. We are told if we are to endure to the end, we better stay faithful. We are told we will be judged based on our performance. Now get out there and obey.
This approach has led many to feel dispirited and disappointed and overwhelmed. Why? Because try as we may, sin is not overcome by our efforts or our wills. It is only as we walk in the Spirit that we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. It's not that we aren't to keep the commandments. It's that the only way that keeping the commandments is possible is by the Spirit.
Jesus taught us to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness. His righteousness is to be found by walking in the Spirit.

This is worded very well, and clearly I believe in faith and obedience. Been posting things like this

Hebrews 10:16, "“This is the covenant that I shall make with them after those days, says יהוה, giving My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I shall write them.”

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding (G5083) the Commands (G1785) of יהוה and the Belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. yet ive probably got disagreement 9 of 10 times, while I think what you said is pretty accurate, I also think people really have a problem with His Laws, and it makes no sense to me because if one is in YHWH's Spirit, changed by Him, they wont be in oppisition and exclusively quote Paul thinking it gives them authority to in some way reject YHWH's righteous standard. The probem is not telling someone there is a standard, its a heart problem imo. The man who's heart is right will not fight against it, they might not agree with me on everything but they will not fight against Yahshua's own words on the matter...

Peter iterally warns not to take Paul's writings into Lawlessness

2 Peter 3:15-17, “15 And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, 16 as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures. 17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. “

yet here we are, nearly every church in america does so...

John 14:23-26, “יהושע answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he shall guard My Word. And My Father shall love him, and We shall come to him and make Our stay with him. He who does not love Me does not guard My Words. And the Word which you hear is not Mine but of the Father Who sent Me. These Words I have spoken to you while still with you. But the Helper, the Set-apart Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all, and remind you of all that I said to you.”

I heard a Messianic Rabi say " the closest to understanding G-d now is to look at his 613 mitzvot (commands) we don't need to keep them but why would we not want to.
does he believe the New Testament word of the messiah ?

“But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“the closest to understanding G-d now is to look at his 613 mitzvot “

so he doesn’t think the son of God came to give the right understanding of God ?

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

honestly I would say the rabbi who thinks you look at Moses law to see the lord isn’t actually a messianic rabbi …he’s most likely blinded by those 613 commands he’s trying to see god in thats why the Pharisees could accept Jesus they were to blinded by the law And didn’t understand Jesus would fulfill it

When you try to put what Moses taught in his law together with Jesus word it condtradicts like this

moses said this to israel this is one of those commands he’s saying is how you best understand God

“When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife. And if the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorcement, and giveth it in her hand, and sendeth her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, which took her to be his wife;”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭24:1-3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That is Moses judgement and it’s contrary to Jesus he explains why it’s different when they ask

“And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for any cause ? tempting him.

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you? And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:2-5, 11-

( Jesus explains elsewhere that if one fornicate in a marriage that’s the one acception ) but the point is very clear Moses judgement is

“if you are unhappy with your wife and find some reason you don’t want her write her a divorce bill and send her away then she can remarry another “

Jesus says that would be adultery.

if you obey Moses and divorce your wife , your going to be commiting adultery according to Jesus who is the lord and not a mediator we have to let Moses go and accept what Jesus said innorder to ever understand God

He isn’t like this

“And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭20:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

But when that comes near to him like this again he’s saying a whle dofferent thing filled with repentance and mercy that’s our god this is how you best know God when you see him face a judgement of Moses watch how Moses word would condemn her to death. It Jesus intervenes wi th a new and better word that gives her life and instructs repentance and drives all her accusers away also

“And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.”
‭‭John‬ ‭8:3-5, 7-13‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We’re all the woman condemned by the law in some way and we all need to let it go now and do this

It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law was never given to Christian’s who believe in Jesus and receive the Holy Spirit it’s not the same it’s for sinners who don’t know repentance and righteousness in the gospel we have access to the reason we do t want to try to put Moses and Jesus together is that the teachings are very often contrary one is for sinners one is for those who repent and come to Jesus to learn about life while they stand in his grace and truth

Its about the gospel now that’s where we’re promised eternal
Life after we die resurrection and a kingdom with Jesus forever ….the law is abo the promised land of Israel

We just need to let Jesus be all we need and learn from him and the apostles Moses law and the ot has a wonderful use for learning what’s right and wrong morally but we have to grasp its not a law for Christian’s we can learn things like it’s sin to kill killers must all die it’s sin to commit adultery adulterers must all die it’s sin to worship false gods they all must die it’s sin ….it’s death

and they even were given a loose morality they tried to follow but they didn’t have the holt spirit of Hods sin Jesus Christ in them they didn’t have the words he spoke in them that have power to change the believe

I think what people are pushing back against is the insinuation that they don't take obedience seriously. They do. They don't use their Christian liberty as license to sin. I think they have pulled their obedience socks up so many times and jumped back into the fray only to once again fail and have their socks fall down. Jesus yoke is light and easy.

I dont know, Ive been called, pharisee, justified by works and evil for quoting and repeating what Yahshua said about the Law. I have heard people say Paul is their apostle and Yahshua's teachings are OT, so crazy. I was told by one person because I believe the Law/Commandments are to be followed im fallen. Told it counted as debt, who in their right mind would call oedience a bad thing... But then I meet others who believe in living their life as Yahshua did, of course none of us are perfect but Him as the example. Those people are generally much more kind hearted.

This is a verse I try to keep in mind

Mat 24:12, "And because iniquity will abound, the love of the many will grow cold."

and remember Yahshua's "greatest Commands"

Mat 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

more so even "the golden rule"

Mat 7:12-14, “Therefore, whatever you wish men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Torah and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it. Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Well im about to log off, if you reply Ill reply when Im able, if not nice talking to you, you have a solid doctrine from what little I have seen you say.

Psalm 57:7-10, "My heart is firm, O Yah, My heart is firm; I sing and praise. Awake, my esteem! Awake, harp and lyre! I awake the dawn. I praise You among the peoples, O יהוה; I sing to You among the nations. For Your loving-commitment is great up to the heavens, And Your truth unto the clouds."

I think they have pulled their obedience socks up so many
times and jumped back into the fray only to once again fail and have their socks fall down. Jesus yoke is light and easy.

remember Yahshua's "greatest Commands"

Mat 22:36-40, "Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law? Yahshua said to him: You must love YHWH your Father with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might (Deuteronomy 6:5). This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Leviticus 19:18). On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

“Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people. My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭51:4-5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. A: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭42:1, 3-4‬ ‭

“He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”
‭‭John‬ ‭12:48-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.”

that’s good does he believe that jesus and the gospel is how someone can actually meet and know the lord in truth without the veil of Moses law ? Or does he think the Torah that Moses wrote is the best way to know the lord ?

Does he understand who the messiah is ?

“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9:2, 6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Does he realize where David’s throne is ?

“Therefore ( David ) being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; he seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:30-33, 36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Remember God said to David “ sit army right hand until I make your enemies your footstool ? That’s a prophecy about Christ being seated at Gods right hand the point is Jesus is the exact image of the true God Moses is not Moses is like trying toninderersnd and know God while standing far away and looking through a muddy dingy veil you can’t hear and see him really that’s what this is saying

“and not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: but their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

but the gospel is god made flesh and Ted chi gbus about salvation and life there’s no veil you see for like this instead when you see and hear Christ in the gospel

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

moses word can’t change us it’s not meant to Jesus word changes those who come to god through him we can’t reach god through Moses it’s about convicting sinners

rabbi is generally a term when Jewish converts try to add Moses law to the gospel like this group was trying to do

“But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, ( they believed in Jesus but ) saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses. ( they tried to add in the old covenant to it )

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

after the discussion the decision is really clear

“and they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment: it seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:23-27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The law of Moses is a detriment to disciples of Jesus because it adds carnality to the gospel

Apparently some love to quote Acts 15 while ignoring the final judgment made by the disciples of Yahshua...

“The Jerusalem Council”
Acts 15:19-21,29 “19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles (new converts) who are turning to YHWH, 20, but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood. 21, For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath. 29, that you abstain from what is offered to idols, and blood, and what is strangled, and whoring. If you keep yourselves from these, you shall do well. Be strong!”

" to abstain from the defilements of idols"

Yet Paul says:
1 Corinthians 8:7-8, “However, not all possess this knowledge. But some, through former association with idols, eat food as really offered to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. Food will not commend us to God. We are no worse off if we do not eat, and no better off if we do.”

SO is it ok to eat food offered to idols or not?

15:20, "but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood.

1. No idols
2. No whoring
3. No partaking of what has been strangled
4. No food containing blood

These are ALL “Old Testament” Laws an only one of them is from the 10 Commandments. It is also interesting that even though this decree was made for Gentile converts to the faith, today it seems that even these basic commands for beginners are completely ignored.

Romans 8:5-8, "For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God."

John/Yahanan 14:15, "If you love Me, keep My commandments."

2 Corinthians 3:13-15~ We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at the end of what was fading away. But their minds were closed. For to this day the same veil remains at the reading of the old covenant. It has not been lifted, because only in Christ can it be removed. And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
