Do you feel like you’re tired of waiting for the one?
Do you believe you have a soulmate just for you?
After the previous relationship, you feel like you’re definitely sure what you want in a future spouse?
Well, don’t worry you’re not the only one who feels the same way! Trusting in God’s timing can be rough but I believe it is worth it. I, too am still waiting for mine, my Superman. Hehe. ☺️ loneliness really do suck lol

"The one"? Nope.
Soul mate? Doesn't exist.
Each relationship can teach you something new about what you do and don't want, potentially.
And each relationship can teach you where you're lacking in different areas and need to grow.
If soul mates existed Paul would not have discouraged marriage, except for those battling with their sex drives.

But I will agree loneliness does suck.

I'll never be anyone's superman, but with my current gf I try to be as loving, supportive, encouraging and strong for her as I can. Not to mention make her laugh, as well as make sure she feels beautiful and respected. Not to mention loved. So far that seems to be doing pretty well. No big S on my chest though. Just doing what should be done in every relationship, to the best I'm able. Some days I fail at it, but every day is a new chance to prove myself to her again, if I do fail.
And I get the same things in return, from her, and more than she knows. Works out well like that. 😊
No soul mates. It wasn't always easy and we both worked hard to be at this place. Working past our baggage and issues that caused conflict. It was a lot of work, many times. It didn't all come easy. But the work has paid off. 😊
I'll take that over soul mates any day. Nothing makes you appreciate someone more than seeing them willing to struggle and grow and overcome just because of their love for you. Or being the one to struggle and grow for them, also makes you more appreciative of them as you know to work so hard for someone must be evidence of something special.

Hope that you do find what you are looking for, but please know, most men are probably not Superman. No one is perfect. Glad to have you onboard with us. Welcome to CC.

When it comes to a relationship.....I think I have kind of given up. It's more tiring to look for someone more than anything. Plus I see people expecting better. I'm not sure if that makes sense but its like there's a big check list or something."look at that, he doesn't fit in this box....no good next". I've come to terms with just staying single and if the lord wants me to be with someone then he will put her in my life. Sometimes loneliness isn't bad, it allows us to focus more on the lord with less distractions in our life. But this is only one man's opinion ☺️

God bless

Me too, one of the first girls I ever asked for a date said "Clear off and kill yerself you ugly git", but my mate consoled me by saying- "She didn't mean it, just wait a bit and she'll come asking YOU for a date"..:)
50 years later I'm still waiting..

A few years ago I was getting on great with a middleaged divorcee who used to invite me round for a meal with her and her teenage son.
But one evening she'd undercooked the bacon and it was like trying to chew rubber, so when they weren't looking I fished it out of my mouth and slung it behind the settee for her cat but it wouldn't touch it.!
I meant to pick it up later but completely forgot.
She must have found it because next day she yelled at me down the phone "YOU'RE NOT A NICE MAN AND I DON'T EVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!" and slammed the phone down.
Huh, touchy..:)

Another time I briefly dated middleaged widow June.
One night she phoned me around midnight nearly in tears and said "I'm sitting halfway down the stairs wishing I was dead, sniffle..", so I said "I'll hop on me bike and come straight over", but she said "NO NO NO don't bother, I'm going to watch my Billy Elliot video in a minute", so I let it drop..:)

Then there was Barbara who always used to turn up for dates wearing old-fashioned clothes and hideous flat shapeless shoes, so I bought her a pair of stylish medium heels but she refused pointblank to wear them, and we drifted apart fast after that.
Pity because I was going to buy her a Wonder Woman outfit next..

Yes, she was an Irishwoman named Kathleen and her temper must have gone off the scale when she found the lump of bacon, especially after she'd been drinking..

Maybe she thought you were trying to kill her. LOL

Some women just don't do heels, you know.

Perhaps especially those who prefer "hideous flat shapeless shoes." (Do you mean crocs??? .:unsure::unsure:)

Fashion can be a killer.
